“I love when you find a new restaurant and you can tell there’s love and passion built into every detail of the experience. My wife and I had an amazing time at Free Spirited. We met the owners Amber and Arleo and they were so friendly and welcoming. With regards to the food it was just as heartwarming. Don’t skip out on this spot! Also don’t be deceived by the menus! It reads for the omnivores in mind but everything is vegan and then you have to add meat, etc. if you want it. The couple asks for dietary restrictions up front and are great at explaining everything if you have additional questions. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-11“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. The atmosphere was lovely as well.“

“I love that it's never super crowded when I go in, a helper/cashier always comes to greet me within a few seconds, the vibe is always nice and chill. I love the large varieties of cookies there and they're large! Every cookie and small pie has been absolutely delish! I just had a small key lime pie this past weekend that SO good!“

“Whenever I'm in Little Tokyo, I come here for the yummy fresh breads. The melon pan is like a Mexican concha, but with the sugary topping on top. The bread is so soft. Goes pretty well with some coffee. The Green Tea Roll Cake was delicious. It is a light, fluffy sponge cake flavored with Japanese matcha green tea powder, rolled into a cylinder, and filled with sweet cream. I also love getting the steam buns. I love getting the An Man, which is a sweet red bean. The taco man, which is beef and veggies, and the curry man, which is chicken and veggies. I highly recommend it if you're in Little Tokyo. The service is excellent.“

“If you’re looking for an allergy-friendly bakery, this is well worth the visit! We’re visiting from out of town and I just wish there was a place as just as careful as back home. I got really excited and got almost one of everything. There’s a small counter for sitting and eating. These were the first allergen free cupcakes I’ve eaten that don’t taste a little weird, which was so refreshing and exciting. Fun innovative flavors as well 💕“

“This LA bakery is a must-visit for anyone craving a delightful pastry experience. Despite the long wait for parking and entry (over 30 minutes), the staff was incredibly quick and friendly, managing to keep the crowd moving smoothly.
The bakery itself is a sight to behold, with its vast expanse of baked goods and an open kitchen that showcases their delectable creations. We indulged in a variety of items, including almond croissant, cinnamon croissant, chicken sandwich, eclair, cream cheese guava strudels, chicken croquettes, spinach puff pastry, biscuits, chicken empanadas, and wheat bread.
The biscuits were a standout, filled with gooey caramel and chocolate. The eclair was a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Every bite was a blissful experience, thanks to the freshly baked, warm pastries.
While the chicken sandwich was a bit of a letdown compared to the other pastries, it was still enjoyable. Overall, this bakery offers an amazing experience and is definitely worth a visit.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

“First time coming here. Just wanted a cute vegan spot for coffee with some food. They had so many options it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering something extra to go. Everything was so good. I had the breakfast sandwich, dirty chai latte, jackfruit tacos and a tart with apples and almonds. It’s bittersweet that I live in South LA otherwise I’d be here every week. 😅“

“I’ve been to the DTLA Arts District location so many times, so I was shocked (in the best way) to discover this one so close to home. The space is modern, clean, and has a cool vibe — though I still lean toward the unique Arts District atmosphere. What really stands out is the pizza: same incredible quality as DTLA. Blindfold me and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
The only thing to keep in mind is that pizza by the slice can add up — if you’re thinking of grabbing more than two, a fresh pie might be the smarter move. Either way, I’m thrilled to have another amazing spot nearby!“

“If you’re looking for a café that perfectly captures the heart and flavor of Little Tokyo, Cafe Dulce is an absolute gem. Nestled in the vibrant streets of Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, this spot has become a go-to destination for anyone who appreciates exceptional coffee, creative pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment you walk in, the energy is warm and inviting. The space strikes a beautiful balance between modern and cozy — clean lines, natural light, and just enough buzz to make it feel lively without overwhelming conversation. Whether you’re meeting friends, taking a work break, or enjoying a quiet solo coffee moment, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you want to stay a while.
The coffee program is consistently impressive. Every cup tastes thoughtfully crafted, from smooth, balanced lattes to bold, rich espresso. You can tell there’s real care in the quality of the beans and the precision of the preparation. Even the specialty drinks feel intentional — creative without being gimmicky, flavorful without overpowering the coffee itself.
But what truly sets Cafe Dulce apart is the pastry selection. The menu blends classic techniques with Asian-inspired flavors in a way that feels both innovative and comforting. Their donuts are especially memorable: soft, perfectly textured, and not overly sweet. Each bite tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Beyond donuts, the selection of baked goods always feels curated rather than crowded — everything has a purpose, and everything is worth trying.“

“Holy Crépe! It’s raining cats n dogs today.
But no worries we have T-Swirl. lol Let’s begin this dessert review.
T-Swirl Crépe is a Japanese crepes franchise that offer the finest crepes in America. This location is at a large plaza in Temple City. They have the freshest ingredients and all are Gluten-free! Also, they have smoothie and milk tea. It was my first time here and perused their vast list. I had a mini Berry crepe and it taste good. For me it hits everything from the light sweetness to texture to flavor.
Service was modest. Staff were competent. Prices were fair that match the quality. Atmosphere was relaxing. Vibe was okay. Seats were comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my Japanese crepe. I recommend you visit. I shall return.“

“They really need to update their hours, the food is awesome, but I came here on Friday at 2:25pm and the gal at the front desk said they close in 5 minutes. Their hours on google is incorrect. Very disappointing! I drove 20 minutes to get here 😕“

“I rarely can find vegan sweets at theme parks. The Berry Tart appears to be more common, but they do offer some seasonal treats. The Berry Tart did have undisclosed nuts, pistachios. If you have allergies I would probably not go to this place. Based on my experience with other restaurants at Knotts, they do not take food allergies very seriously.“
“I had the best experience here at melrose bakery. I was searching online for Italian bread for sandwiches and found this gem. Nancy was super helpful, I ended up leaving with 2 giant loafs of sourdough bread. All for $5! I originally wanted rolls but those need to be ordered ahead of time. They are a wholesale store and open to the public. I followed the exact instructions on the reviews to find this place. Awesome place!“

“Came here with my wife and got yogurt. Tart was not working so the girl kindly got it working for me. I left a $2 tip. The owner comes in at the end of her shift, takes the money from the can . I may have mistaken, but that was dirty imop. Give the tips to the workers..
Edit.. My apologies. Hopefully they have a special blend of yogurt for those so inclined to steal tips from workers. ?“
“Ilove SugarBloom Bakery!!!My wife and I love the bake-at-home plain croissants and chocolate croissants. It is the best combo, waking up to fresh croissants every morning would be the best way to start your day!!!Did I mention I love SugarBloom Bakery, some favorites mine are: Sesame Pretzel Croissant (vegan), White Miso Kouign-Amann, Spam & Kimchi Croissant, Miso Butterscotch and Triple Threat Chocolate chunk cookies, of course the plain/ chocolate/ham and cheese croissants. Some items I want to try is the chocolate hazelnut croissant, vegan everything croissant. Anything else I should try?“

“Such a cute little coffee shop!
Food: I had ordered 3 food items and forgot to take a picture. It was the avocado toast and peanut butter & banana toast. And a chocolate croissant. Súper bomb! Would definitely order all 3 again.
Drinks: Tried their coffee fall flight…and wow! Genius. Hope it’s a year round option and can choose other options when seasonal drinks aren’t in.
Staff: super nice & attentive.
Place: Very clean, easy to find seating. Parking wasn’t hard. Went here around 9-10am.“
“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“
“The ice cream is amazing and the customer service is excellent. I will definitely be a regular customer.“

“I just got the 5-day cleanse. First time I ordered and of course they packaged it wrong according to the person that I've been emailing with. One of the soups seal was broken and it leaked out. Very disappointed with the customer service because she says that they can't send me a replacement soup just to $12 refund for the one that was damaged. I don't know how I'm supposed to do the 5-day cleanse next week as planned as I am now short a soup 😔 First and last order if they can't make this right. UPDATE: I guess they did the best that they could to make it right. They found me a similar soup on Amazon and are sending it to me since for some reason they can't send a replacement soup of theirs“
