“Recently moved to the area, been searching for a spot that made a good chicken tikka masala and this place knocks it out of the park! Seriously so good. Good portion, good sauce, if you don’t like spicy order the mild. I ordered medium and it’s a bit spicy! Cant complain, just a heads up. The butter naan is soooo good, really ties it all together. Wish it was a fragrant white rice but can’t go wrong with plain white rice as a base. Highly recommend this spot for chicken tikka masala!!!“

“Arvin and Puja prepare authentic Nepalese Food that is delicious. My favorites are the Palak Panner, Mixed Vegetable, and Paneer Tikamasala as I am vegetarian. The Nan and Roti are to die for. “Yesterday I had the pleasure of walking into this family owned establishment, The environment was clean, and the people were very kind. The menu was exceptional with great prices. I got the chicken Marcella, the naan, and the salmon which was the daily special. The chicken Masala was perfectly spiced. I got the mild because I can't eat spicy food. I dipped the naan in it and it tasted perfect. The naan was big and fresh and its own separate bag, so I was able to take it home and munch on it later now the salmon was delicious. It was super crispy and juicy on the inside, and the seasoning was complementary to the fish. it was wonderful to be able to talk to the Chef and get to know the people that cooked my food. The chef that's been working there. He's on the establishment for a while and he's been cooking for over 40 years. He also told me that he is from New York, which definitely shows in his food because this Indian Pakistani restaurant is definitely authentic. I will drive an hour and a half to come back here again. Definitely would recommend them for Catering or a nice dinner date.“

They have many pods from chicken biryani to paneer wraps with fries, a personal favorite of mine is the fried veg momo, another one being the paneer tikka masala with rice. “Punjabi Kitchen is my favorite Indian food! The curries are thick and flavorful but not too oily. I always get the chicken spinach curry, but the bhaigan eggplant curry is also very savory and delicious. The owner is very friendly and will talk freely with you, or respect your space.
The atmosphere is of a sports bar with many beers on tap, and even more refrigerated. The owner will adjust the TVs to your liking so this can be a positive. If you are open-minded about environments and not expecting fancy, the food is delicious, the service is quick, and the price is right.“

“I have been enjoying Mehak for over a year now. Since moving to the east bay I hadn't found an Indian restaurant in my area that makes butter chicken/chicken Mehkani the way I learned to love it until Mehak. This is my favorite dish and theirs is fantastic. We also enjoy the saag paneer and chana masala. The naan is delicious and such a good value that the curry comes with the rice.

Also have tried the mango lassi and kheer and enjoyed both! Best kheer I'd had in ages.

Will continue to come back.

“Very nice little Indian restaurant close to work. I've always enjoyed the dishes I've tried here great authentic taste and flavor. I especially love their aloo paratha and chicken tikka masala. My only issue is that they are not consistent with their timings. They say they open at 12 noon, but sometimes they are closed or not even open by 12:30.“
