“Pretty good boba spot! The atmosphere is pretty inviting and quite spacious, which makes it perfect for studying and just hanging out. Although the drinks are a bit on the pricer side, the size makes up for it. As for the food, it's either hit or miss in my opinion, just depends on what you get, I really recommend the popcorn chicken though. “Amazing shop, our favorite boba place and we come here weekly. The owner and staff are so friendly and always remember us. Our favorite drink is the Viva Mango it has plum flavoring and Tajin! The perfect salty/sweet flavoring, So good! I also recommend the Coconut Pandan. I always get 50% sweetness but my kids prefer full sweetness. All the drinks are very different, so if you try one that is not your favorite, visit again and try another. They are sure to have something you enjoy and you cannot beat the great customer service.“

“If you are looking to find a place with the yommiest Vietnamese Egg Coffee, look no further. I have been coming here off the recommendation of a friend and it is the best egg coffee. I have tried Da Vien, and while it is good, I think their egg is too foamy for me. I like Airoma's because the egg is super rich and dense, almost like a creme brulee but in liquid form. There's always students either studying or people meeting up for a coffee here. The person at the cashier register is always super nice and answers any question you have. I have come here to study a couple times and it's nice because it's not too loud where you have to use headphones to focus and tune out the noise.“
“I've been coming to Da Vien Coffee for over a year now. When I say I want Vietnamese coffee, THIS is what I mean. Their cold foams are flavorful and thick. This is my #1 favorite coffee shop in the OC. They specialize in Vietnamese coffee, and they also serve basic coffee, food, and desserts. I have yet to try their food & desserts; only drinks. I've been to both of their locations in Westminster and Garden Grove. Parking: Free parking. Somewhat easy to find on weekdays but more difficult on the weekends. Ambiance/Environment: On weekdays, I notice there is a consistent flow of customers. While on the weekends, they are usually busier. They have a modern, studious, and somewhat spacious environment with indoor & outdoor seating. Service: From my experience, the cashier is always kind and knowledgeable! Baristas are quick and efficient. Throughput is usually under 3 minutes. Drinks: 1) Black Sesame Latte - Phin drip coffee shot with black sesame foam. I really enjoyed the black sesame foam; it's pretty light. Even though it's shots of espresso, this drink is still strong and will keep you awake. 10/10 2) Matcha Foam Coffee - Vietnamese coffee topped with matcha cold foam & espresso powder. As someone who doesn't prefer matcha (don't come for me lol), this drink is perfect for you. The matcha foam isn't too overpowering. You get an equal amount of flavors from the coffee and foam. 10/10 3) Egg Coffee - THIS is my favorite drink! Vietnamese coffee topped with egg foam & cocoa powder. Da Vien actually put me onto egg cold foam. I was sus at first, but omg .. tastes like heaven! 1000/10 4) Da Vien Coffee - Vietnamese coffee topped with macchiato foam & cocoa powder. This is my second favorite drink! If you're not sure what to get and want to try something basic, this drink is the safest way to go. The macchiato foam is delicious and pairs well with the coffee. 10/10 5) Cloudy Ube - Phin drip coffee shot and Ube foam. This is a lighter taste of Ube compared to the Ube Coffee. You get an equal amount of flavors from the Ube and espresso shots. 9/10 6) Peach Tea - Green peach tea with peach slices. Such a refreshing drink! It tastes exactly like how it sounds. 10/10 7) Salted Coffee - Light and creamy coffee topped with salted foam. I believe this drink contains espresso shots over milk. The foam has a good amount of sweet & salt; not too salty. This is another safe drink to go with if you want something basic. 9/10 8) Ube Coffee - Coconut Purple Yam coffee. It's basically Vietnamese coffee topped with Ube foam. If you love Ube, this is the drink for you! The Ube foam is strong and pairs well with the coffee flavor. 10/10 9) Caramel Sprinkle Latte (seasonal) - Phin drip coffee shot with caramel and topped with salted foam. This is a Xmas 2023 drink. Not my favorite drink. The flavors didn't work well together. I felt the caramel syrup tasted weird with the espresso shots. 6.5/10 Pricing: Prices are $$ average. I'd say it's worth the price because their coffee is bomb af. I highly recommend joining their rewards. You receive points, coupons via text, and birthday treats. In the Westminster location, you'd input your phone number through the iPad. In the Garden Grove location, make sure to tell your cashier your phone number after ordering.“
“The wife and I went in there on a whim after seeing this on Instagram. We each had a drink. She had the peach black tea and I had the strawberry green tea, the drinks were very refreshing, well-made and fresh. “My new go-to for boba, and the desserts here are a plus. The Oreo cheesecake dessert is not a traditional American cheesecake - it's more like a Japanese cheesecake that is airy and fluffy. I haven't tried the other flavors yet because I'm obsessed with the Oreo one! The first time I went here in-person, I was having a really bad day and came here after work as a pick-me-up. I was pleasantly surprised at the claw machines in the back, and the interior decor and furniture are very modern and aesthetically pleasing. I was able to win a stuffed dog from the claw machines which helped me feel a lot better - it's such a small win but it made my day. Each play is 1 token, which is $1. The token converter is right next to the claw machines. The drinks here are fairly sweet, I'd recommend reducing the sweetness level on any brulee milk tea drink. I usually get the cookies & cream milk tea (previously called Oreo brulee, I think) with boba. The boba is always fresh, and a perfect texture and consistency. The brulee makes the milk tea so much more creamy, which I enjoy. Parking in this plaza is always abundant and easy. This plaza is usually never too crowded - a plus for me.“

I wish they had fruity pebbles for an addition-- hehehe. But it's yummy without. My son likes the popcorn chicken as well. It's a very welcoming, cute sit-in tea house with cute cartoons playing on a tv. It can get pretty hot in the front area though and that can be an issue. I've had to wait outside in the heat but shaded with a slight breeze due to this. Almost hard to breathe from the stuffy heat. “Great food and drinks here! Never gone wrong with the crawfish scampi fries. Parking can be a hassle on a busy night but I gotta get my fix still! Minus one star because one of the male employees always looks annoyed when talking to patrons. Noticed it a few times before but this time when I walked into the store (only customer there), I said excuse me to him because I was standing there for two minutes so he obviously didn't notice me, which was fine of course, but he gave me this head shake which really threw me off this time around. Hopefully this pattern improves over time as I really like this place.“

“Neighbors is an awesome spot to kickback with some friends! I finally decided to try this place out after driving past it so many times on Colima. Inside, there are a few booths with comfy couches that really allow you to relax for a conversation with friends. I noticed that some of the prices for drinks were just a step cheaper than some of the popular tea shops like 7 Leaves, Tiger Sugar, and Summerfield, which are selling milk tea at around $6 now. After trying their Vietnamese coffee, it didn't seem like they sacrificed on the quality for their better prices. I also tried their Hazelnut Cream dessert. While it was a little pricey ($9), I was really happy with the taste. The mousse was very light and it was not too sweet! I'll definitely be bringing my friends to try some of their other drinks next time.“

Podong is a uniquely Korean inspired boba shop with some of the most interesting drink concoctions. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots and you can find it next to the Gold's gym. Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a modern nostalgic street style type of interior. They do a great job of juxtaposing nostalgic and retro themes with modern and streetwear ones. As for their drinks, they have such a variety to choose from. Wifey and I opted for the Korean pear slush and the injeolmi slush and both were super refreshing with flavors uniquely Korean. The staff here are awesome and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try their other drinks next time we're in the area!“

“Not only are their coconut slushees so tasty but this husband and wife team are the sweetest people ever. We visited Lynn tea on thanksgiving day and as soon as we came in the nice gentleman offered us samples. The samples to choose from where: mocha, matcha, coconut, mango and strawberry and they all tasted amazing, but being coconut lovers we decided to get the coconut slushees with boba, on my daughter's slushy she added the brown sugar and it was delicious. “I stopped by the other day and thought it was excellent! The tea was super yummy, and they had a wide selection of tea for both adults and kids. Drinks were labeled with whether or not they had caffeine or milk, and had multiple substitutions for milk averse people like myself lol. “This was a chill spot. We went here late one night while on vacation in socal. It did feel more like someone's home/hangout spot than a boba shop. It was still chill. The drinks were okay. I should've ordered something different, but I didn't hate my drink. Service was nice, but slow. I think it took 20+ minutes to get our drinks (4 total) after ordering. We also waited 10 minutes to order. There were a lot of fish tanks every where as well. A few other "regulars" were here gaming in their laptops as well, so it wasn't awkward. I'm not sure I'll be back, but glad I got to try this place.“

However, if I recall correctly, they have a pretty high credit card minimum (relative to the low donut prices) which is pretty inconvenient. “We were in the neighborhood and sister and I had time before our scheduled appointment down the street so we decided to check this place out. I ordered the large Vietnamese coffee 50% less sweet with boba and my sister ordered the Pick of the Month regular Monster Boba Latte also less sweet. Both drinks were amazing. Honestly I could still go to 75% less sweet and the coffee would still taste great. Even my sister who is not much of a coffee drinker thought that the Vietnamese coffee tasted so good- strong but so good. Service was patient and friendly. “One of the most welcoming, warmest boba shops I've ever been to. The owner's so nice and her daughter is so sweet. Had a great experience here. Drinks are at a very reasonable price, especially for their size and quality. I paid roughly 13 for 2 drinks. There's also a promotion or event going on where students who bring in their students IDs will get a free cup of noodles with an order of a drink. The store is very pretty interior decoration and they sell pins and assortments of keychains for you to look through. I've never had such an experience a boba place. There's a decent amount of meat in there and other ingredients as well. I wish the broth was a bit stronger in terms of flavor but it was delicious. They have a sauce station where you get to put together your own sauce. Service was friendly and the food didn't take too long to come out.
