“Craving for lobster after a trip to Jamaica. Yamon!! This place was awesome. Lobster Market Price is not bad. You can build your own meal. The lobster and shrimps were juicy and not over cooked. Our server was so polite and welcoming. She was helpful in making our decision. The menu is just right. Lots of stuff we must come back for to taste.
The peach Good day soju was so good.
So if you are ever in Pomona by the 71 and 60. You must come and try their food.”

I've now forgotten the wheat ale I ordered, but it was local and it was good. The brisket sandwich I ordered was outstanding. We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.”

“We were visiting from out of town (Sacramento and Italy) and I picked this restaurant because I knew at least one person of our group was vegan/vegetarian and the reviews were great. It’s not a posh place and we were a bit nervous when we arrived wondering if I had made the right choice. But they treated us well and the food outshone the interior decor and paper plates. Even the meat eaters were satisfied and one person in our group said the margaritas were the best he’d ever had and strong. My dish was so fresh and delicious.

We got a Sirloin Avocado Burger (my teenager LOVED) Philly Cheese Steak on Garlic Cheddar Bread (my other teenager LOVED) and a Corned Beef and Swiss on Marble Rye bread (which was mine and it was so good!)”

“My work moved near the area so was looking for some food spots. Came across this place. Man has food gotten expensive nowadays. Anyways it's still comparable to other places. I ordered the beef soft sofu and a salmon skin salad. I didn't eat the salad yet but I tried a piece of the salmon skin and it tasted good. As for the soft tofu its decent. I ordered medium spice but it's not spicy at all. Maybe I try spicy next time. This is a nice cozy spot. Not bad for lunch”

The food and service are excellent in every sense of the word. The bread and baklava were made fresh! The Turkish Delights were phenomenal. The owner and staff went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable and welcome, explaining the menu items in detail. We are so excited to have come across this gem!!! It is the type of culinary and cultural experience that my husband and I treasure. We will be coming again soon, both with and without friends! The place was clean and the food was delicious. I had the salt & pepper shrimp and my husband had the kung pao. I have to admit that when we walked in, I had my doubts. The place was empty and there were boxes stacked up in the dining area. Most likely bz they just got supplies but it didn't do much for the atmosphere. However, the gentleman who served us was very nice and didn't overly bug us. He would keep an eye to see if we were low on drinks but was not hovering. This is something I always appreciate. He noticed I ate all the jalapeño peppers and even let me know I could request it spicier next time. The missing half has very little to do with them or their food.
They are hidden away in a tiny spot so not too easy to find but the worth the effort. I definitely plan to return.”

“Located right next to Cal Poly college, Jinza Teriyaki is a great spot to eat after classes, my all time favorite is the Loco Moco bowl. The people are incredibly nice and especially early the place is a nice quite area to eat in. My only wish is that they would open earlier as someone who's out n about by 7am, but I understand not wanting to open at the crack of dawn.”

While I didn't love all the foods -- I'd pass on my colleague's cheeseburger salad, I really thought the grilled cheese sandwich with avocado and bacon was cooked really well and even though I thought the cheese was a bit dull, the rest of the sandwich including toasted bread was superb quality and made up for it. Portions are large and overall I'd consider certain dishes here because of the quality.”

“I was craving Bánh Mì but I’m still relatively new to the Pomona area so I decided to look up some spots and decided on this place because although it doesn’t have as many reviews as other restaurants I was considering, this one had all five star reviews. I’m glad to say I now know why. The food was just simply amazing!
My boyfriend and I got the Bánh Mì Gà (Chicken Sandwich) and Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (Grilled Meat Sandwich) the bread was a bit crispier than ones I’ve had in the past but nonetheless the taste for these were the best. We also got Tôm Rang Muối (Roasted Salted Shrimp) and Gỏi Cuốn (Fresh Spring Rolls) for appetizers, you can never go wrong with spring rolls and the shrimp were perfectly crispy and had so much flavor with the perfect amount of spiciness, next time we go I’m definitely ordering the shrimp again. The couple running the restaurant are also very friendly and welcoming and super attentive to give the best service.
As another review stated this really is a hidden gem, it doesn’t seem to get a lot of foot traffic but definitely deserves more so if you’re in the area make sure to drop by for some good eats!”

I have tried many other spots including street vendors around the IE, but let me tell you that nothing compares to the quality in the taste and consistency of these folks. The menudo was very good,
it came with a lot of toppings and they were all very fresh, the tripe was soft and the broth was very flavorful.

My mulita was AMAZING.
the beef was perfectly cooked and so juicy, it was extremely flavorful and had the perfect bite with cheese,
I ended up adding some of the salsa roja that came with the menudo to my mulita, top tier.

They also gave us a stack of hot tortillas that were very fresh,
they were so hot and they had the best chew to them, perfect thickness to me, I loved them.

Our aguas frescas were good, I got Jamaica and my auntie got pepino y limón,

my jamaica was good,

and I'm not a good judge for pepino y limón but she liked it well.

The atmosphere was good with music on the TV

The service was great!! 👍 We had table service and they were super nice when we were figuring out what to order, they also have some nice herbs out front and I asked and they let me pick some ruda/rue. 🌿

They do not have a lot of options for Hawaiian BBQ but their sushi rolls and egg rolls are amazing.”
