“Fast casual Japanese eatery specializing in ramen and small rice bowls. Go-to place for the family to pick up takeout or eat in the common food court area within the Mitsuwa grocery store.
A family favorite is the char siu rice bowl (side dish #45). It is simple comfort food with warm and plump short grain rice, topped with tender pork and freshly sliced green onions. The shichimi (seven flavor chili powder) offered at the counter is a nice complement.
The Hiyashi ramen is a cold noodle summer special. Two slices of tender pork, green onions, red pickled ginger, thinly sliced cucumber, and other goodies. Santouka offers three types of sauce - tried the spicey sauce, but felt the mala overpowered the dish a bit. Would recommend the shoyu or sesame sauces and then adding shichimi for more heat.“

“Excellent food and friendly, helpful service. The ramen is fantastic and the crispy rice appetizer is delicious. Highly recommend going here for the food.
Message to the Tajima team, however -- the vibe killing FanDuel TV nonsense playing on all the TVs was frustrating. It made the restaurant feel like a betting parlor. Please reconsider what you show on those TVs. Thanks!“

“Good but very chaotic inside. Long waits for service. Team trying to keep up but the food was good. If you go in knowing it's a bit like that you'll be fine. If you're the type of person who is personally insulted if water isn't brought immediately or ever refilled, then it might not be your jam. Still they get 5 stars because it's good and they tried.“

“Came in at 6pm on a Sunday. Got the happy hour hot sake for $3.95, the black edition ramen for $20(worth it!), tempura Kabocha roll to go. Start to finish, great service. The guys were so attentive, kind and genuine. Much appreciated! I lived in L.A. for several years and have had some amazing ramen. This might be the best. Super fresh! Especially the pork. Love the presentation for the Ramen too. Chill R&B vibes and nice decor. 10/10! Keep it up. I live in north county, but I’ll be back. :D“

“My sister and I were craving Japanese food, so she suggested Kumi Sushi Grill. I ordered a bento box with chicken teriyaki, yellowtail sashimi, and mixed tempura. My sister also got the chicken teriyaki bento box with mixed tempura, and fried gyoza. The Bento boxes come with miso soup and we also ordered Green Tea.
All I can say is everything was excellent. They give you 3 big pieces of yellowtail sashimi that melted like butter and their tempura was awesome. The portion sizes are huge. We should split a box. You can swe hiw much food my sister had in her to-go box. Mine was just as much food but not as pretty. I highly recommend this place.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was thoroughly impressed, especially by their outstanding curry rice dishes.
My dining companions and I sampled a good variety of their offerings. The pork cutlet curry rice and gurobuta curry rice were both absolute standouts. The curry itself was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the tender, crispy cutlets. If you're a fan of Japanese curry, you seriously need to try Monsta Ramen Curry – it easily surpasses other well-known curry establishments.
Beyond the curry, their teriyaki skewers and spicy mayo skewers were delicious additions, perfectly grilled and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed the potato shrimp and takoyaki, both of which were perfectly cooked and satisfying.
What makes Monsta Ramen Curry even more appealing is the very reasonable price point. You get incredibly delicious food without breaking the bank.
In short, if you're craving authentic, delicious, and affordable Japanese curry rice, Monsta Ramen Curry is an absolute must-visit if you’re in Convoy Streer. You won't be disappointed!“

“Hands down the best ramen I’ve had! Everything was delicious - we had the garlic spicy edamame, oxtail ramen, and spare-rib ramen. We asked for non-pork broths and were given two great alternatives that were perfectly paired with our ramen orders. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back“

“Amazing sushi and noodles at Ayu Sushi & Noodles in Pacific Highlands Ranch in Carmel Valley. We loved everything, the tempura udon, the yume, sachi, and anata rolls, the bluefin crudo, and the salmon hand rolls. Great selection of species on the menu, next time will need to get more nigiri and sashimi. Great service, friendly and quick. We sat on the dog friendly patio. Recommend!“

“The best yakitory I've found in the US so far
Just like in Japan the restaurant is set up for single eaters of groups. The flavor and food always take me back to adventuring across Japan. It's so good my wife and I have to mark on the calendar when we go because we blow so much of our food budget here. So worth it!“

“Looking for a replacement Chinese Restaurant, since my favorite closed down. Ran out of options in Poway. So decided to give 369 a try. They had a few Chinese options, so tried the Broccoli Beef lunch special. I was pleasantly surprise, very good flavor and large portions. The regular portion would feed two. They also sell Beef Chow Fun. I normally have to get this at a sit down place. Theirs is pretty good. One day I will try the Ramen.“
