“I'll admit that my husband and I are very picky when it comes to restaurants, it's only because my husband is such a great cook! It's rare that we ever want to come back to a restaurant, but we will be back, for sure! SJB is a charming town and small business is what makes this place. Smoke Point is behind the main street, so don't miss it. Parking is easy on the street, seating inside and out. Decor is simple, yet thoughtful, feels comfortable. Beer and drink selection good, but that is not the focus, so great family place. Great menu, I had the brisket waldorf salad, which was tast, fresh, and of generous portion... I had to share with husband. He had the 1/2 pound brisket and a sausage, both were great, but not enough. We thought the food looked lonely on the plate, maybe a larger portion with a side may look more appetizing? The food was so good, we had to try the cornbread and mac n cheese, both were tasty, though the mac n cheese was missing either crunch on top or some ooey gooey cheese. Since the town rolls it in early, it might be a good idea for them to offer a snack menu and stay open for beer and drinks... there is little to do at night, but maybe that's a good thing!“

“Super delicious, all traditional favors were there. I will come back and bring guests. Nothing was old or grease. Everything was fresh and tasty. I am coming back!!!Parking: There was a person in front checking the parking lot. We assumed it was because of the low security in Salinas but we do not really know.“

“I love this place. $15 dollars gets you a really long way. I get a plate of bbq beef. Massive portion of beef, rice, pasta salad, and cabbage. It can quickly add up, but the portions are quite good. Unsure if you can tell from the order receipt, but this whole order, short of a spring roll I had already devoured, came to $51.The service is good, especially as the cashier noticed by partner picking spam for our musubis.. and upon noticing my expression, he was quick to assure me that you can pick and mix between their three meat choices. The location isn't typically filled with a lot of people and, at least for my own experiences, is fairly quiet and peaceful as you wait for your order to be called.Unfortunately, the food can sometimes take longer than you'd like as you find yourself making contact with others who are awkwardly looking around to keep themselves busy... but that's all that's wrong from my prospective. Nothing to stop me from returning.“

“The food is great... Their problem is running out of food. It's a constant problem with this place and I don't understand why they can't seem to ever cook enough potatoes and brisket. They routinely run out of the favorites BEFORE the dinner rush. If you have extra potatoes, save them for breakfast, cube them, put them in a pan, throw them in a burrito. Get creative! Constantly running out of food will chase your loyal customers away, especially over a $0.50 potato!!!“

“This restaurant is very tucked in the corner its small, but spacious! The owner is nice, it was me and my partners first time going. We were excited to hear that there was a Korean style restaurant near by in prundale! We got the spicy pork bulgogi #10 and the #3 sweet and spicy chicken wings, definitely will be going back. Chicken was really crispy and juicy! The bulgogi was just the perfect amount of spice and flavor! Just hope that for the future they have more options of a menu.“
