“Been stopping by Tommy & Atticus since they opened in July. The country, round sour dough is our family favorite. We've tried morning sun citrus pastry (my fav), jalapeno/cheddar sour dough bread, lunch pizza & sandwiches. Great place, great customer service.“
“Fresh made to order sandwiches, adorable tarts, you have to get the vanilla cream with the hot drink it's like a taste of sweet cloud. Service was fast and friendly. I will be back for sure. The croissants are so flaky and buttery, I love every bite.“
“Closed on Sundays, go to the website to find out that day's flavors. They change every week. There is NO free tasting. There was some mention of trying the flavors so i thought there was. But i asked at this last visit and No there isn't a tasting available. The cookies are BIG and heavy in weight, they have a real buttery undertone. The milk chocolate chip cookie is my favorite. The chocolate chips are decadent. They are crispy and gooey. I toast them for a crispier cookie but it IS a great cookie. The brownie cookie is also great. There are many more flavors but haven't found any other flavor YET that i love as much as these two. The workers are nice, helpful, your order prompt. I would give those cookies an A- but that's because I prefer a crispier cookie. The flavor is there, i'd definitely return and have been there numerous times“
“This is definitely a worthwhile visit for breakfast, lunch, or snacks! They have a great variety of baked items that are fresh and beautiful. There are sandwiches and salads as well that looked amazing, although we didn't get the chance to try those. The pastries and cookies we tried were not astounding, but very visually appealing and decently tasty. Very nice staff as well.“
“Marsha came through with an exceptional cake for my husband’s surprise 60th birthday. She designed the cake exactly the way I wanted it. We had a 3 tier cake, each being a different flavor and our guests wanted to try all 3. Needless to say, this cake was a hit! Marsha’s Sweet Cakes will be my only choice for custom cakes in the future!“
“Such a nice cafe to relax and eat :D I was satisfied with my orders and the workers there! Ordered the avocado toast(They didn't have anymore sourdough and replaced it with baguette which was still so delicious!), croque monsieur, caffe latte with nutella, matcha latte, and an eclair vanilla. Everything was perfect! I would definitely come back here again if I need a small brunch :) this place was worth the visit. I highly recommend their eclairs, they did such an amazing job with them that I kept remembering how it tastes like“
“If you are a turkey tail fan then get them here. You have to be familiar with eating them or open to trying them once. They're pretty fatty but the flavor and tenderness justifies eating them. The rest of the menu is like a home cooked meal. The bakery is exceptional for its baked goods especially their freshly baked bread. Service is great, with much "aloha".“
“After having been here now many many times, I can confidently say it s the best bakery I ve been to in LA. Much better than republic, or nearby sweat wheat, or anything i ve randomly tried that was not worth remembering. 2nd of 3rd best croissants in the US that I ve had (upper crust in Gainesville and Leo s bread in new orleans if curious). Location is great as close to the beach, in a nice walkable area. Not over commercialized, looks over quality store. It s a simple small store putting out great pastries. The stuffed croissants are very good. Passion fruit and lemon one are my favorite.Haven't tried their sandwiches yet but on paper they look good. The kouign Amman however, absolute masterpiece. The edges are so crispy without being hard to chew, yet the center so moist, filled with nutella at the perfect viscosity. Great flavor.“
“Fast, friendly service and great communication through text messages. The cake and donuts were adorable and exactly what I asked for. Pick-up was prompt and easy. I couldn't get a good photo because Oreo was enjoying his treats so much, everything was a blur and then it was all gone! Thank you for a great experience!“
“The design of the cake, the taste of the cake, the service. Everything was perfect. We had many guests comment on the taste of the cake and asked where it was from. Definitely a huge hit at the party. Thanks so much for making the process so easy as I am an out of towner. 10/10 recommend!“
“I have gone to Josephs bakery for 50 years with my family and continue to go today and will travel to come and pick up the Croissants and Pizza. This place is so good, and they never forget who I am even if I have not been there for years. Josephs please keep all that your doing for everyone in San Pedro. Our family and now our Children and Nieces and Nephews come here. That is History. Your bakery is amazing.“
“I love these cuties called senorita bread! These sweet buttery breads are the best to share my culture and taste with everyone I share it to! I bring these for potlucks and always get asked where to buy them! Also these are highly addicting! The line may get long but it's very tolerable and the ladies are so welcoming and nice!“
“All gluten free desserts! The most popular pastry is the Almond Brioche, it was delicious and different, made with rice flour, served slightly warm and moist inside. We like it that it's not overly sweet. For coffee, we ordered a large mocha, it's on the smaller side, but it's wonderful and also not overly sweet. The service was prompt and friendly. Environment was clean and relaxing. Outdoor seating is a plus, especially for dog-owners.“
“Very simple place but very nice selection of Mochi. Reminded me when I was a kid. Remember only Cash and Checks had to go across the street to the market to get cash. They are going to make a great present for our neighbors who just went to Japan on vacation.“
“A tiny bakery located right next to a small market. I've driven by this place many times and never really noticed it. I decided to stop by because it was open past 8p which most bakeries are not. Wow, what a hidden little gem. As you walk in you can smell fresh hot bread being baked. Plenty of bread options considering the location is small. I purchased bolillos, conchas, etc... Oh and a huge white concha (which is enough for 4 people). Conchas and bollilos were hot, even after 8pm! All were delicious! Highly recommend. Cash preferred OR a 50cent fee for cardPrices are about $1 each for most breadBolillos 2 X $1Large Concha $3“
“Oh my goodness what a hidden gem!Stunning pastries and lovely French sandwiches. Besides the things Americans might expect at a French bakery they have a diversity of more classic French treats and some experiments that' say "Californie" to me such as the double chocolate croissant which is a lovely even deep brown, every crumb of it -- had to buy that to share with my dad. The relaxed sunny vibe locates this shop right between Manhattan Beach snd, I dunno, Saint Tropez. If you are South Bay bound worth the trek. I'm jazzed to have a bag of their goodies to go.The cappuccino tastes French. Magnifique.“
“I've had a few cakes from this bakery and they are delicious. The bakery is very cute, def a neighborhood gem. The cakes are large and feed a good amount of people. I like that they can do vegan and everything is decorated beautifully.“
“Squid and wasabi spaghetti has been my favorite for over a decade. However, it was fresh wasabi root with very pleasant aroma. Now it's a pickled wasabi and something g has been missing for me. Maybe I am just picky. But the 1 dollar salad and the refillable sweet tea is always must-have! Bread is always fresh and soft inside. I will still go back every time I am nearby...“
“I ordered a matcha latte and a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with egg, cheese and avocado instead of bacon. The matcha was mediocre because of the quality but the barista did an excellent job making it with cinnamon and honey. Just couldn't taste much of the matcha flavor itself. The breakfast sandwich was incredible! Bagel perfectly crispy warm on the outside and soft inside, tomato jam incredible flavor. This place is a hole in the wall so not much space to sit except for some benches outside with a stunning view of the ocean. I went early morning around 8am on a weekday. It's a great grab and go location for locals or someone stopping by the area. Baristas were very friendly and chatted with everyone which created a welcoming atmosphere.“
“This review is long overdue- LA has a few artisinal mom and pop mochi shops that have lasted for decades, and Chikara is one of them. The presentation is beautiful, these are not cheap eats as well. For $20 you can get a decently assorted box of mochi to give, they take cash only. They also prepare it differently depending if it's a gift or for yourself. Some of my favorites are the Kiku, Sakura, Nadeshiko, and Strawberry. It's definitely pricey compared to other mochi places, but in my opinion it's the chewiest compared to others.“
“Never going to L.A. or out of the South Bay for pan dulce again!!! Went to Jimenez Bakery for the first time today!!! Literally the BEST pan dulce we have ever had. We have driven far and wide to find legit, authentic empanadas and conchas and today we finally found them. We live in Torrance and it is so nice that they are local and a small, family owned business!! Great customer service and you can literally taste the homemade sense of pride in each piece of pan they serve. So grateful to support this incredible South Bay gem!! Your search for the BEST pan dulce is OVER!! Go to Jimenez Bakery today!“
“You can close your eyes and point to anything in their pastry case and you'll always get something delicious. The quality in their bakes are always consistent, as with their attention to detail even when packaging up your pastries. My absolute favorite is their seasonal pommier, but I will always come back for their classics: sesame choux pastry, mont blanc, gateau marron. ilu patisserie chantilly“
“Immediately noticed cookie making equipment along with flour and eggs: always a good sign. Front staff are chipper and willing to describe products. Chocolate chip had nice chunks of excellent quality chocolate - oddly hard to find these days. Peanut butter had good flavor but left me wanting. Chocolate-Chocolate with frosting was amazing. The oatmeal was frosted: not necessary and it distracts from a beautiful base. We paid $16 for 4 cookies.“
“I love pastries and I love bread and I love coffee. I also love that this place is so close to home! But I don't know if it's a good thing for me because now I am addicted lol. The women that work here are All so sweet and always answer my questions about the beverage menu ( which I told myself I'd try every single one) and so far all good but I am loving their gingerbread caramel latte and tried the chocolate peppermint cookie today and omg it is sooo good! Peppermint flavor is just the perfect amount not overpowering, like the lady that helped me said I cannot believe it's Vegan. My kids love their chocolate chip cookies and we enjoy some of their sourdough every now and then! Great little gem in San Pedro.“
“While vacationing we like to find local small businesses. I am so glad we found offset. We ate breakfast here every morning. We had the lox, avocado toast and an egg and bacon biscuit. These delicious dishes were made with fresh ingredients and were also visually appealing. The coffee is roasted here providing the best quality product. The talented baristas are super friendly and able to answer your questions. Ample parking is available next to the building and handicap parking and ramp are out front.“
“So delicious, the best churros ever! Affogato was spectacular. We saw the man working hard getting ready in the morning before the store opened, so we came back after lunch for dessert. The man working there was so kind. Wonderful addition to the Redondo pier!“
“This place is definitely one of the best in the South Bay! When it comes to boba, the milk tea is great, they have some unique flavors along with the classics, but what surprised me is the boba pearls themselves, which are ginormous, chewy, and flavorful but still come up the straw easily and frequently! What's more is the amazing atmosphere! This place resembles a cozy coffee shop with their comfy furniture and paintings, which is a nice twist! They also sell some pastries, which looked pretty good through the display (although I didn't try any).I would highly recommend this place to others in the area.“
“Got an Asigo bagel with salmon cream cheese and an iced mocha coffee. Very, very good! Got the Fifth Avene bagel to go, which is a lox and cream cheese bagel (chose sourdough) with tomato, onion and plenty of capers. Won-der-ful!!! Have lots more items to choose from! Best bagels! Will be back! When the owner learned was buying for a diabetic, he steered me off the sweet drinks. Very caring people...“
“The kind of neighborhood coffee house that actually feels like it's part of a neighborhood. Community bulletin boards, bookshelves, sometimes local art. And a little bit of everything: coffee, tea, pastries, smoothies, etc. Offbeat and home-y despite its spot at the end of a row of trendy restaurants. (And it's been here longer than most of those!) Decent amounts of both indoor and outdoor seating. The kind of atmosphere that makes you *want* to hang out there.Parking: Most of the street parking has been converted to outdoor dining for those nearby restaurants, but it's a very short walk from the metered parking lot across from Trader Joe's.“
“This is the best pie I have ever tasted . I believe it's called a chocolate silk pie. I have never tasted a tastier pie, ever! I thought their blueberry pies were the greatest, -and they are, but, this chocolate silk pie might top those. Not possible, I thought. Ask for Will and tell them to make you a chocolate silk pie. It does not matter who you share this with. They will love you .“
“I visited this place for the first time. Wow, they really know coffee. I had a chai latte, it was prepared perfectly and served at the right temperature. My sister had a flaky custard pastry that was buttery, flaky, with a glazed sugar coating. It was delicious.Parking: Located in shopping mall“
“THANK YOU for the incredible birthday cake you created! The Great Dane-topped cake was most definitely the star of the weekend! Everyone loved it and was astonished at the amazing replica of our goofy blue merle Great Dane and his favorite toys, and the chocolate cake and buttercream icing were so delicious! You definitely "make happy" and, you make magic!“
“So happy to have very authenticated Japanese bakery in our area!Love everything we tried so far including pastries, sandwiches , pork buns , California roll.Egg sandwich and pork katsu sandwich are the best around here!Cheese bowl is very delicious but should eat the same day.I end up going here 2-3 times per week now. We have not tried the cakes yet but soon we will.“
“I stopped by this place of busy today. I had a great experience there. Everyone I had any contact with was wonderful helpful and welcoming The cakes are to die for I tried several different ones. I'm going to make this place of business my go too for dessert.“
“This place is great!! I had a bagel sandwich that was amazing! I would have given 5 stars but the cashier shorted me on change .i didn't say anything ( i was going to leave it as a tip) . I highly recommend this place still. Quality food !“
“Many of the workers do not know a lot of basic questions regarding cakes and prices. I’ve ordered some drinks here over years and .. when a cup needs to be replaced before giving it to customers please do that because several times the cups are leaking every time you take a sip. Please be better at that. Thanks.“
“Love this bakery and visit it at least twice sometimes three times a week! Love the coffee danish bread, not too sweet. Just right and a little crunchy. I buy the walnut bread for sandwiches which is not like any other bread I've ever had. Makes a sandwich that much better. Love the little crunch from the walnuts. Jin there is. Sweetheart and always greets you with a smile. The little thin disk cookies with I believe almonds are so delish I buy two bags each time I go. I am addicted to this place and hate the weekends cause I always go in on my way to work.“
“5 stars across the board. Much love to Ernesto! The bakery smells so good when you walk in and the jazz music sets the vibe. Ernesto was able to listen to the vision of my Dad’s cake and make it even more perfect. My dad’s going to love it. And he’s so welcoming and generous. I even bought a cookie and it was so good for my sweet tooth.“
“The family and I stopped by the Galleria a few days ago for some last-minute Christmas gifts. While my wife was waiting in line to check out at Hot Topic, my son and I noticed a Bundt Cake store nearby. The smell definitely grabbed our attention first. We still had to pick up another little something for my mom, and since she loves everything chocolate, Xander and I decided to see if there was something in Bossy Bundts that she'd like.Wow, there were so many tasty options to choose from! The owners of the store couldn't have been any nicer. I mentioned my gluten intolerance and Xander's Type 1 diabetes. The owner said they didn't currently have anything gluten-free but they do make bundt cakes to order. She offered to whip up something gluten-free and even something with fewer carbs for Xander, using monk fruit for the lower carb bundts. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful! I ended up picking out the most chocolatey-looking bundt cake I could find. Before we left, I asked the owners if we could take a picture with them. The guy happily obliged. I asked his name and thanked him again. He told me his name was Josh - how crazy is that?! I won't be forgetting his name anytime soon.I almost forgot to mention, my mom tried the cake yesterday on Christmas and said it was amazing. That's why I waited to write this review. I assumed it would be tasty, but I had to be sure. I'll definitely be heading back for some made-to-order gluten-free bundt cakes. Thanks again, Josh and Angel!“
“Went early afternoon on a Friday and ordered the Pupus Platter and a guava Hawaiian sun. The Pupus Platter came with spam musubi, kalua nachos, macnut onion rings, ahi poke, and teriyaki skewers. They also bring complimentary two small hawaiian rolls with butter. I was well tended to, even though I sat at the counter, and my server did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. Portion size was huge and is enough to easily feed two people. No complaints on the food - I was pleasantly surprised by the lighter batter on the onion rings and loved the poke and kalua nachos. They used ogonori if I’m correct in the poke, which gives it a similar chewiness to wood ear mushrooms. It’s a very diner style vibe on the inside, especially with the counter being directly of access to the kitchen and coffee counter. The bakery and restaurant are very fluidly accessible in the same open space concept. A huge variety for the bakery, and a selection of Kings Hawaiian rolls are purchasable as well.Parking: Free parking lot behind restaurant“
“Amazing bakery with the sweetest owner. I was in a huge pickle this weekend and she baked me a dozen cookies with only 2 hours notice. I can’t tell you how lovely Katy is and how cute her shop is. I so appreciate her and the cookies are wonderful!!“
“I've been going to both locations for years, but this one is more convenient for me. I love everything that they bake. My favorite is the cookies. But they also made my wedding cake. I made an appointment at the Torrance location for that. It was beautifully decorated just as I requested with different flavors on each tier: red velvet with cream cheese, yellow with strawberries and whip cream, and banana with custard. Everyone raved about it! Back to the cookies. I usually go to the Gardena location for my fix. They have a cookie special on Wednesday, but I can't remember what it is. The chocolate chip cookies are great. Pro tip: get the bag of cookies vs. individual ones for a better price. The fudge chews are a cross between a brownie and a cookie. We call them brookies. They make a maple one as well. But my favorite cookie is the peanut butter. They're slightly crispy but also soft. They also make great custom cookies and cakes, donuts, petit fours, small pastries. I'm sure there's something for everyone with a sweet tooth.“
“Got my wife the banana pudding from here because everyone says it is amazing. She loved it and I thought it was great too. It's not too sweet. Tasted like real flavors, not the weird artificial candy flavoring you sometimes get with banana desserts. Wasn't too sweet and left us wanting more. It's a little steep in terms of price because $8 for a small cup of pudding that you really won't want to share is a little ridiculous. Might try some of their other desserts but would get the same thing again when we feel like splurging. Hope you check it out and enjoy!“
“I love buying custom cakes frm Maggy. She is always very detailed, easy to talk to and makes the best cakes. Everyone loves them, she did my daughters birthday cake and I called her last minute. She went beyond my expectations for sure. She made another amazing cake which was yellow cake with Chocolate Ganache. As you can see we have enjoyed the cake. It was Inspired by the Holidays and she went above and beyond. Don’t hesitate to call her for your cake needs. She makes very delicious cakes, and they all are very unique.Thank you Maggy.“
“These are the Best Donuts ? in Compton, Hands down!! Perfect Sweetness, Nice and Fluffy. The staff is Professional, and polite. They smelled so good I had to eat one before I took a picture. I highly recommend for anyone in search of great quality donuts.“
“The good:I had a red rooibos tea latte, chocolate chip brioche muffin and a custard cream and strawberry croissant from here for my birthday breakfast. The latte was great and wasn't watery nor too sweet. The custard cream was eggy and delicious. I liked that the tea was caffeine free because I'm nursing and trying to avoid caffeine. My toddler enjoyed the brioche muffin. They have so many delicious pastries to choose from. The croissant was flaky and the cream inside wasn't too thick or runny. The powdered sugar on top made it aesthetically pleasing. The bad:The brioche was just okay. It was a little confusing how it looks like a mini muffin with the texture of bread. They have something called a croissant cube that I'd love to try next time. The interesting:Rooibos tea's packed with antioxidants and is supposedly pretty healthy!“
“During my recent visit to Crumbl Cookies, I was impressed by the delightful aroma that greeted me upon entering. The vibrant and inviting atmosphere immediately set a positive tone. The staff was friendly and eager to assist, making the ordering process smooth. As for the cookies, they were a true delight. The variety of flavors available was extensive, and each cookie looked like a work of art. I particularly enjoyed the warm Cornbread cookie, which was a perfect balance of sweetness. The cookies were generously sized and had a soft, chewy texture that was simply irresistible. What stood out was the innovative packaging – each cookie was individually wrapped, ensuring freshness. The presentation added an extra touch of sophistication to the whole experience. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality of the cookies justifies the cost. Overall, my visit to Crumbl Cookies was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.“
“I was looking for a good tres leches cake since it was my birthday. I searched it up on yelp and this seemed like the most popular. I got the $27 whole square cake for my family and I to share. This bakery everyone was speaking Spanish so I could tell it's authentic. The cake was a good deal for the size of it. It was a good cake but nothing exceeding, a little on the sweeter side. The cake had a slight cake mix taste to it. Different toppings tres leches cake you can choose (strawberries, Oreos, oranges) glad I got to try it finally since I was always curious about it. When I got here at 6 pm there was a line so must be popular.“
“It was my first time there I wanted a little breakfast before I got my hair done. I ordered a bagel and 2 glazed doughnuts because they didn't have a big selection of donuts at that time. But I did get 2. The bagel was really good toasted, with light cream cheese. The lady, most likely the owner, was really pleasant and nice, and she gave me a Little-good luck charm. With my purchase. Whenever I'm in that area of Lawndale, I will be going there.“
“The place was empty when I visited, so I can't say much about the atmosphere. The cashier was really cool I didn't like the way the pie in the display case looked it wasn't appealing so the cashier went back and grabbed a much fresher looking pie I appreciate that I did go in right before closing so I didn't hold it against them that the pies weren't appealing...“
