“I had a long layover at LAX while returning from an international trip and decided to treat myself to a solo birthday dinner. I was looking for a place with a great local vibe, good food, and live music—and Eddie V’s delivered on all fronts and more.

When the staff casually asked if I was celebrating anything special, I mentioned that my birthday was coming up in a few days. To my surprise, they decorated my table and even prepared a handwritten birthday card. The live jazz was exceptional—performed by experienced musicians covering a wide range of modern and classic jazz across genres and eras. The atmosphere was lively yet refined.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality was warm, thoughtful, and welcoming. As a woman dining solo, I especially appreciated how gracious and attentive the service was—it made me feel completely at ease and genuinely celebrated.

To top it all off, they surprised me with a birthday dessert: a beautifully presented Bananas Foster, theatrically flamed tableside. It was both elegant and exciting, a perfect blend of experience and taste, and the perfect way to start my birthday.

I highly recommend Eddie V’s Prime Seafood for any occasion—and especially for solo diners looking for an elevated and memorable experience.

“One of the best Valentine's Day steak dinner! We started with the marinated octopus and tomato as the appetizer, followed by a main course of an 8 oz. Filet Mignon for each of us cooked to perfection covered with fresh shaved truffles, sides of creamed spinach and truffled mashed potatoes. This restaurant located in a strip mall in Lomita is a gem of a place! Service is very attentive, cozy atmosphere. They do not have a full bar, only wine, beer, and sake. Although it is a bit pricey, they have a much better quality overall than some of the other high end steak houses. They for sure are much better than Flemings which I feel has gone down hill in my many years of eating there. This will become my favorite steak house from now on! “We had 30 guests for a corporate steak dinner after a real estate industry conference we all attended. I worked with our server beforehand, pre-ordering apps, meals, sides, desserts and making it family style. Our incredible server, along with the amazing chefs did soooooo well accommodating our HUGE party. Apps and bread came out as soon as we were seated. The main entrees and sides came out right on time and the crowd was won over with the desserts. We decided to order a few bottles of wine for the table which was helpful in keeping things running smoothly. The staff here was so wonderful!“

The steak is good, but everything else really not that great. The waiters are very polite, but the service is super slow. We went to the one in Marina del Rey, horrible neighborhood Very sketchy many homeless people. You don't wanna be there at night.“

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere after being gone almost a year. Prime in one of my favorite places to dine. The service always exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, which truly enhanced the entire experience.

Of course, the highlight was my Ribeye and my my guest had your Tomahawk itself — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly a treat for the senses. It's clear that a great deal of passion and skill goes into every aspect of your establishment.
