“Chong Qing YaoMei Hotpot offers an authentic and unforgettable Chongqing hotpot experience, with a rich, spicy broth that perfectly balances heat and flavor. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, from tender sliced meats to a wide range of vegetables and handmade meatballs. Their sauce bar is impressive, allowing you to customize your dipping sauce just the way you like it. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the vibrant, modern atmosphere adds to the overall experience. While slightly on the pricier side, it’s well worth it for the flavor and quality — a must-visit spot for any hotpot lover.“

In this store, parents will never worry about kids are too picky for food, because they likes everything there 😄,and we got gift cards there too, would like to share this good neighborhood restaurant with our friends“

“Me and the husband went here for the first time. We chose the premium as we didn't like any of the meats or broths in the prime option. I ordered the sukiyaki broth and the native chongquin Mala. The Mala was very spicy as soon as I got it. I removed all the chilies, and it was still spicy but delicious. I started mixing both broths to balance spiciness, and it was delicious. They have a self-serve buffet with many options, and the meats are ordered at the table. My favotire was the pork belly, shrimp and the fish filet. My mouth is watering just thinking about it ?. Their service was great, for sure we're going again this weekend ?“

“This was our first time visiting this chain’s location in San Gabriel. It is more spacious and the food quality is good. There were only two minor issues: There was no one checking the waitlist at the main entrance when we got there. The bathrooms only allow one person at a time. Other than those overall it is a very well managed restaurant.“

“This spot is incredible. I love really spicy hot pot and most places swear by their spice but this is the only spot that hits the mark. I come here when my brother is in town and we literally will go multiple times a week. The service is great too.“

“030123 Nice service and decent portions for the price, but one of the managers/staff members had a disagreement with a tardy custodian staff, which was a bit of an uncomfortable experience.
The sauces are very good and you can take home the extra broth!“
“Thursday12/7/23 Dinner at Quan De 7 Mon restaurant in El Monte with my cousin and friend Jimmy. Enjoying lots of my cravings: grilled shrimps, baby clams, hot pot, and fried tofu with shredded dried pork and satay green onions. It hits multiple spots in my tummy and for sure I’ll be sleeping with a big smile tonight. I am blessed and know when I look back on this day, it would be one of many joyous times.Service staffs were friendly and attentive.Asian bar & grill environment.David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast“

“This place is cheap and perfect for people who love hot pot toppings and dipping sauces. The broth was $14, and you get to choose two different types. The dipping sauce is $1.90 (self-service), and it’s 40 cents per stick for the toppings. They also offer colored trays with various options, including meat and veggies, at different prices.
To be honest, the meat isn’t the best quality, but personally, I’m more into dipping my toppings in the sauce. Their broth, though, was insanely good!
Here are my bills, if I didn't get so much tray that I won't finished it at all, the price would be so cheap!!!“

We recently got married and this was part of the celebration so they gave us a soju bottle as a gift! Highly recommend for lunch as the 2 meat was more than plenty!“

“I will go back. Not so good: The hour and half wait for a table of four. Must sign in. Do not go when hungry. First come first serve, until a party of four. There were two or three party of two signed in after us was called. The best part of the place: worth all the wait. Our waiter spoke Cantonese, much a plus. Extremely Busy, but he still managed to be attentive and keep providing a decent service. I love restaurants with waitstaffs working together. ask any wait staff, and I did not get "I am not your waiter." Wait staffs answered all my questions. The food is fresh, clean, tasty, and so many verities too.“

“I like this place. $13.99 per pound of food. You get to choose all your toppings. I recommend going heavy on the meats and light on the carbohydrates. That’ll be the best bang for the buck. They also have frog meat if that’s your lingo. I tried their beef bone broth and I like it a lot. I’d come back again.
**UPDATE**
Just a heads up. If you can’t eat mild this place won’t be for you. They can’t alter the broth. The only option is the tomato broth which is no spicy.“

“Absolutely loved my experience at Chun La Hao Chong Qing Hot Pot! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The spicy broth had a real kick, just like you’d expect from authentic Chongqing hot pot. There were tons of ingredient options, from premium meats to fresh vegetables and handmade fish balls.
Service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to refill broth and bring extra sauces or drinks. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with traditional Chinese décor and lively energy that made the whole dining experience more enjoyable.
We dined in, and everything from the table setup to the individual hot pot stations was clean and well-organized. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for hot pot lovers!“

“after eating here, i'm starting to understand how LA/SGV works... you gotta pay for a big meal, sit down, 'n enjoy. It's not a hustle 'n bustle snack on-the-way city.
I expected to eat the self-serving vegetables 'n rice, but that seems to have a door of it's own for take-out..?? then I tried to order a sandwich, but they were out.. maybe out of bread..? then i gave in and ordered a big meal, a soup: combination with yellow noodle.
amazing. simple. jam packed with all sorts of tofu and mushrooms. It's enough for two people. And then the lady gave out little dessert cups, like a green mung bean soup, on a hot day. this is one of them joints.“
“We ordered the signature beef hotpot set, the oyster pancake, a pork claypot, and a soup noodle. The beef cuts and the pork meatballs are unique. They all tasted great and didn't suffer from a dreaded common occurrence where every dish tasted the same, like it's made from one sauce. Service was pretty good too. Price wasn't too bad, $115 before tip for those said items. As far as I know, this is the only place that serve this style of beef hot pot (one reviewer said otherwise). Place is kinda small so i can see waiting maybe an issue, the Parking space is right just for the amount of tables they have.“

“This is one of our go-to places for authentic Cantonese food. We also like our special occasions celebrated here because you can secure a private banquet room for free!! I was here for my aunts 97th bday. My cousins ordered more traditional foods for the elders table. Mainly seafood dishes. The more Americanized of us got chowmein with chicken and sweet n sour chicken. The other table got noodles with seafood and cold boiled chicken, traditional for a bday celebration. . The highlight was the crispy whole piglet. Big hit for everyone. Also the shrimp with candied walnuts. And the French style filet mignon with mushrooms, always a yummy choice here. I enjoyed the sweet and sour soup. The owner was on hand to make sure all's well. The service was swift and efficient. Another great private room dining experience. It's not a fancy place but who cares ...the food is goooood. Highly recommend per usual. Dedicated parking lot is free. Credit cards accepted.“

“Visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle for the first time this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located in the plaza on the corner of Atlantic and Garvey, with plenty of parking.
The menu is simple and straight forward. You start by choosing the desired soup base (bone broth, tomato, hot & sour, spicy) and then the protein offered under your desired soup base. If you wish to order additional toppings; there is a list of add-on you can pick from. The restaurant gives you the option to order using the QR code taped on the table or with the staff member. Soon after placing the order, they bring out the toppings to the dish, which consists of your desired meat, lettuce, generous portion of rice noodles, tofu, ham, green onion, seaweed, wood ear mushroom, corn, egg, etc. Lastly the soup base is served and you add the add all the toppings to your soup.
I ordered the tomato soup with sliced brisket; love the strong tomato flavor in the broth. If you are a tomato lover, this is the soup base to order.
Will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases.“

“I’ve only had the Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup with shrimp. Both are really good, definitely worth a try if you work nearby. I only gave the place 4 stars because I haven’t tried much so can’t say it’s 5 star worthy.Staff are friendly and they can get those soups out in under 8 mins, perfect for a lunch break. The food hall itself is pretty boring and just a big room with chairs.“

I order all spicy food but I still don’t think it’s spicy enough. I’m the only one who loves spicy food at home. Sometimes I want to order more. Force your family to eat the same dish, hahaha“

“Decided to visit to this spot-on Thanksgiving Day 2023! Honestly, not sure what to expect, as soon we walked in, we were happily greeted and seated right away! I noticed there were a ton of to go orders. Partner and I were craving our typical Chinese food orderSalt and Pepper Calamari – Crunchy, seasoned well, not too spicySzechwan Eggplant – hint of spice, stayed hot (temperature wise) the whole timeBeef Chow Fun w gravy – Tender beef, flavorful noodsDuck – typical, very good except, it came out room temp.BBQ Pork – Typical and just like the duck – room temp.If you are in or near the area and can’t get to Alhambra or Rosemead, let’s say you live in Whittier, City of Industry, Avocado Heights then this is your spot. =)Missing star – I was quite surprised at the price of 2 Bbq item combo $31? Check out how small the portion was.“

“Bigggggg portions! Bring your stomach! We came at a random time and the auntie who works there was there to work! She's immediately recommend the dishes and the add-ons. Despite our language barrier, she quickly took our order and the food came out fast. We ordered their signature rice noodles with medium spicy level, which is perfect. Great place, chill vibe, spacious lounging area.“

“Craving Asian BBQ but don't really want to over-pay and under-eat? This is the spot for you! This Taiwanese BBQ is a self service spot. Get your chunky butt up and pull plates of meat, veggies, desserts from the freezer! Don't forget the butter!
The unlimited rice, porridge and soup helps fill what the meats don't.
The meat here is pretty basic. It's thin cuts of maranaded beef, pork, chicken, lamb, etc. Not the highest quality, but you're paying $4.99 or so per plate. Whether you grill or hotpot, you're charged for what you grab.
They have happy hours here too where you save like 15% or so! Definitely some cheap BBQ eats. Great for groups. Very interactive without overeating and without breaking the bank.
I went today with my senior parents of (group of 3) and our total was $41 after tax. Insane in 2025! If you want to go ham on the protein, maybe do a AYCE KBBQ.
My only complaint is everything is a but sticky from the bbq smoke. Definitely wear some clothes that are ready for the wash. Not a first date place. More like a go in your PJs as a fun date night after the fact. Cheers.“

“If you say Xiaolongkan, Lameizi, and Chunlahao are traditional hot pot places, then Yuan's is the fashionable style, both in renovation and decoration. Yuan's might be the high-end hot pot in Los Angeles.
The restaurant has private rooms with full-time waitstaff and serves free snacks that you would normally have to pick up at the dipping station in other hot pot restaurants. The free Sichuan pepper chicken feet were delicious, and the fried sesame balls were hot, crispy, and tasted good.
The food was not more expensive than other hot pot places. The specialty was their wagyu beef, which had better quality than others.
I don't remember whether they had the nine-block pot. What I saw looked like a Mercedes logo shape, so you could have three kinds of soup base - one especially for fish, one for wagyu, and one for everything else. The pot was funny, with a copper-colored tiger head on the side. I don't know if the direction the head pointed to meant anything.
Hot pot is just hot pot. As long as the raw ingredients are fresh enough, it will not be bad. Nowadays, the soup base is no longer a secret. Hot pot is one of the foods that requires the least cooking skills from the chef.“
