“We visited this place when we were in old town Pasadena walking our dog on December 25th and they are open. I admire restaurants giving time to serve hot food when some restaurants choose to close this holiday. We went in together with our dog on a stroller they are open to service animals. Ambience was great not too loud and restaurant layout gives you a chance to go through each table without hitting another chair. I ordered the Japanese Miso, my wife ordered the Lamb Soup and my son ordered the Taiwanese Hot Soup. The food came in with a heating box where in they would light it up and keep the soup piping hot. It’s just like the Shabu-Shabu style on the side I ordered Vermicelli and my wife and son ordered white rice. Food was overflowing from the bowl what a great treat! All three soups we ordered had their own different tastes. This is the one of the Boiling Point restaurants that is fully staffed no need to wait on a server to get your order. Comparing this to the one we last visited this one will give you more food we had to bring home half of it as we were already full and there is still a lot left! We will come back here again for sure“

“Amazing food and experience, servers were helpful and friendly especially because I had NO IDEA how to do this. You get water and spices/ sauces, meats and proteins and veggies, and make your own dish. So cool and the food was just incredible.“

“I’m dinning in with a group of friends and we are making a lot of special requests but the host is very patient and is taking very good care of us. We finish all the food and order more to go. The spicy bowl is amazing! And we finished the spicy bowl and order another one to go!!! Loving this place and would come back again!“

“How does this place have no reviews? Probably the greatest hot pit in Houston. Different levels of Wagyu. Includes many sides seafood drinks desert it’s just awesome. Great service. Great vibe. Amazing place. Keep up the good work.“
“Yummy hotpot from here hits the spot, especially for late-night study breaks. Broth leans sour and spicy in a good way, heavy flavor, kind of addictive, like you just keep fishing for another bite. Fair price for students, portions decent, tbh works for my broke student budget. Good for one-person meals, I just ordered, ate while watching lectures, and it stayed warm. Delivery came on time, nothing spilled, packaging simple but solid. Night snack go-to in this college area, especially for heavy-flavor lovers and international students missing that kind of taste.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in San Gabriel! They offer several all-you-can-eat options, including Hot Pot AYCE, Premium Hot Pot AYCE, BBQ AYCE, and their Luxury AYCE. My personal favorite is the Luxury AYCE, which includes both premium hot pot and BBQ skewers. This option is available for dinner only.
For hot pot, you can choose up to three broths and then order from a huge selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and other hot pot items, along with Chinese BBQ skewers. Desserts are also included and available at the self-serve station. I usually grab the roll cakes. There’s a huge variety overall, so there’s something for everyone!
Parking is easy since there’s a parking lot, and the service is great. The servers are attentive and happy to answer any questions we have about the menu. Always a great experience here!“

“Go here and go here soon. This place is great. Super fresh everything. Big coolers on one wall where you select meat and veg on trays and skewers. The assortment is broad. I was fortunate to have gone with friends from China, so they guided my choices. You can't go wrong with the basics here, though. Friendly service and very clean. Open late!“

“Not bad for an all you can eat hot pot, but a few more food selection would be nice on top of what they have. $37 is a bit much for the amount they have. They have two tiers. Premium and Prime. Prime is $53. The soy sauce they use at the sauce station is more salty than the other soy sauces I've had. One of the staff, younger girl kept messing up with the soup base orders for our table and another table's. It wasn't even busy at that time. It's nice they do birthday discounts. Free drinks and ice cream so that's also a plus. Would be nice if they had strawberry ice cream instead of double cookies and cream rubs. They should add pork blood rice cakes. Parking in the back can be limited.“

“The front desk experience has been consistently frustrating.
The young lady there appears inattentive and unsure of the process. Even after joining the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, we're left standing without explanation for 5-10 minutes each visit until another staff member takes over and seats us.
The lack of coordination at the entrance gives the impression that no one is actually managing the line properly.
Fortunately, the rest of the staff are warm and professional, and the hot pot options are solid.“

“Hidden gem alert near USC! 🔥 $17.99 for a personal hot pot that’s actually huge. Tried the Signature Beef and Tomato Beef pots, both packed with meat and veggies—comes with rice AND glass noodles, so you’ll definitely leave full.
The skeletons are so good, especially the cumin lamb and charred cabbage. Crispy wings were a hit with the kids too.
Bonus: free parking, chill vibe with fun decor (shoutout to the 3-Body Problem fans!). Total win for students, families, and anyone craving affordable, flavorful Chinese food in DTLA.“

“Hidden hot pot gem – $33.88 AYCE and actually good
This place has been around for over a decade, right by the TAWA plaza.
We got there right when they opened in the afternoon, and the place filled up almost instantly. Most people seemed like regulars.
$33.88 gets you AYCE hot pot + a buffet station + sauces. Same price on weekends, and they don't charge extra for broth. The soup base is surprisingly good – has that nourishing, slightly herbal vibe. Reminded me of the old Little Sheep.
Plenty of options. Lamb and beef are a must – fresh. The pork intestine gets super soft and sticky after a quick boil – I wanted a second plate. The buffet had sesame balls, spring rolls, piggy buns, fries, edamame… the cha siu bao actually tasted like dim sum from a cart.
We also ordered scallion pancake on the side – super crispy. Almost asked for another one to take home.
Service speed is probably the fastest I've seen for AYCE. Food comes quick. Open till midnight – great for late-night cravings. And if you're staying at the Hilton? Literally across the street.“

“This was our third time dining at Eigikutei and we were just as pleased this time as we were with our maiden experience. We were favored with our personal favorite of the sushi kaiseki Yawaragi (10-piece sushi). All the separate elements of the course melded perfectly for our palette. The service was attentive and on que with our pacing of eating. And the ambience was quiet serenity. We highly recommend dining at Eigikutei for any fine dining connoisseur!“

“We recently embarked on a three-week west coast “foodie” vacation, spanning five states and six major cities. Along the way, we dined at everything from Michelin-starred establishments to small mom-and-pop restaurants. By the end of our trip, everyone in our group unanimously agreed that our experience at Tensho was one of the absolute highlights.
From the warm hospitality and the evident pride in food preparation to the impeccable service and outstanding flavors, everything about our visit was memorable. We left the restaurant on a true “food high,” feeling as though if the entire world could experience what we just had, it might inspire world peace.
Be sure to order the wagyu—it’s an absolute must and a true indulgence!“

“This place is more of a drinking bar. I tried this place out 2× and food was nasty so I never went back again until recently my friends wanted to go there to drink so I tried it the 3rd time. The saying goes 3rd time the charm and yes the food was actually good this time, I enjoyed every dishes that was ordered.“

“I like this place. $13.99 per pound of food. You get to choose all your toppings. I recommend going heavy on the meats and light on the carbohydrates. That’ll be the best bang for the buck. They also have frog meat if that’s your lingo. I tried their beef bone broth and I like it a lot. I’d come back again.
**UPDATE**
Just a heads up. If you can’t eat mild this place won’t be for you. They can’t alter the broth. The only option is the tomato broth which is no spicy.“

“Absolutely love Nabemono Shabu Shabu. We were finally able to enjoy a dine in experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful space and great service. I highly recommend their sukiyaki and spicy creamy pork bone broth. Absolutely superb with their ramen, fresh veggies and sauces (ponzu and sesame). Can’t wait to go back to enjoy their cold noodles! “Very nice small restaurant selling specialty noodles and some side items. The potato noodles have a firmer texture, kinda like soba, the soup was delicious. Chicken bone was also very good. There was an old couple working there, very friendly. Price was reasonable, highest it goes was $13 for the house special noodle. Overall a great place to try something new and unique.“
“This is my go to spot for meat! Esp love the thinly sliced beef and skewers here. Team is always friendly and helpful on choosing the right stuff. Highly recommend!“

“This is a very cozy spot to grab a good meal. It’s not fancy or over the top, but that’s honestly part of its charm. It feels like a small local Japanese place where the focus is simply on serving good, comforting food.
The staff were very kind as well. It happened to be raining when we arrived, and they were nice enough to let us come in a little earlier than opening, which we really appreciated.
I ordered the pork cutlet with curry and the portion was very generous — definitely satisfying and full of flavor. The only small hiccup was that my Diet Coke was forgotten at first, so I had to ask again, but they brought it out shortly after.
Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. If you’re looking for a casual place with tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The price per person is also very reasonable for the portion sizes you get.“

“The Best Taiwanese Hotpot place in Socal.“
“Interesting experience. Might be our new hotpot place to go. The restaurant look great. Love the Japanese fast food concept. Not sure about the Japanese pop music, bit didn't bother us. Servers very nice and attentive but didn't have same taste (recomendations). We ordered the spicy tonkatsu and the another 3rd infantry division spicy soup, and the octopus balls. The food is great. Love the individual hotpot. Yet, I prefer more traditional hotpot without hotdogs, cheese, and spam. I will never order that 3rd infantry division soup, LoL. But definitely the tonkotsu one. I recomend this place.“
“We ordered the signature beef hotpot set, the oyster pancake, a pork claypot, and a soup noodle. The beef cuts and the pork meatballs are unique. They all tasted great and didn't suffer from a dreaded common occurrence where every dish tasted the same, like it's made from one sauce. Service was pretty good too. Price wasn't too bad, $115 before tip for those said items. As far as I know, this is the only place that serve this style of beef hot pot (one reviewer said otherwise). Place is kinda small so i can see waiting maybe an issue, the Parking space is right just for the amount of tables they have.“

“This is a very authentic Sichuan spicy and numbing flavor from China. The owner cooks it herself, just like in her own kitchen. We has eaten here many times and it's very delicious. The environment is also very clean. Friends who like spicy and numbing flavors should not miss it. My son especially likes their bullfrogs. They are very fresh and rich in protein. The owner is also very warm-hearted. She insists on not adding any chemical additives to the food. Every time I take the remaining soup home to cook noodles. I will come again next time.👍“

“I like some of the topping options that they offer here, but I would like it if there were more options. I usually get the house broth, but I recently tried the spicy beef broth, and it just tastes like yukgaejang. It was just kinda unexpected…
4 stars for food and service. Food: they often serve meats that shouldn’t be served. In the few times I’ve come to All that Shabu, twice (in different visits) we were given meat that was red and blood-like. It wasn’t pleasant. And the other time, one of the meat options was all fat and had a speck of meat. I’m not sure, do they not check the meat slices before sending the out? I feel like the staff should check the quality beforehand.“

“Visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle for the first time this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is located in the plaza on the corner of Atlantic and Garvey, with plenty of parking.
The menu is simple and straight forward. You start by choosing the desired soup base (bone broth, tomato, hot & sour, spicy) and then the protein offered under your desired soup base. If you wish to order additional toppings; there is a list of add-on you can pick from. The restaurant gives you the option to order using the QR code taped on the table or with the staff member. Soon after placing the order, they bring out the toppings to the dish, which consists of your desired meat, lettuce, generous portion of rice noodles, tofu, ham, green onion, seaweed, wood ear mushroom, corn, egg, etc. Lastly the soup base is served and you add the add all the toppings to your soup.
I ordered the tomato soup with sliced brisket; love the strong tomato flavor in the broth. If you are a tomato lover, this is the soup base to order.
Will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases.“

“I’ve been coming to Kyushu Shabu for years, and it still feels like one of the most comforting meals in the city. There’s something special about a place that stays true to itself instead of chasing trends.
The AYCE value is super great, the food is simple, traditional, and genuinely delicious. The broths are light and clean in a way that highlights the purity and quality of the ingredients instead of overpowering them. Fresh meats, vegetables, and that classic shabu-shabu experience that a lot of newer, more hip spots try to imitate but never quite capture.
The staff are always incredibly kind and hardworking, and you can tell how much care they put into keeping this longtime institution going. I keep coming back because I genuinely want places like Kyushu Shabu to stay alive. Restaurants with this much history, character, and heart are becoming rare.“

“Lots of people say this is their favorite Taiwanese personal hot pot spot. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their honey milk tea, steamed veggies and spicy lamb appetizers, and new bak kuh teh pot to try. I brought my friend and she got their milk tea and iconic beef pot said it was really good. My honey milk tea was perfectly sweet and milky with plenty of jiggly pudding. The steamed veggies were soft and had a light pork flave. The spicy lamb was a bit spicy, cuminy, not too gamey but was a bit tough. The bak kuh teh had sweet savory garlicy flaves and was loaded with so many yummy things from their super tender flavorful yummy pork ribs, juicy frozen tofu, shiitake and seafood mushrooms, leafy napa cabbage, garlic, bouncy meatballs, imitation crab, corn, radish, tofu skin and vermicelli. It even came with a side of rice which I upgraded to their comforting umami beef tomato rice. Service here is on point And right now from June to July 12th, if you use my promo code ACMOO you can get a free appetizer! So definitely go check them out cuz this place no cap is pretty good!

“As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambience and decor were amazing; super chic with little surprises here and there. The food was delicious! We had the sushi; a mix of rolls and nigiri. The hamachi tostada is a MUST. Portions were a little on the smaller side but that just meant we were able to try more from the menu. Also don't sleep on the seasonal drinks! Overall, loved our experience and will definitely be going back!“
