“I loved the food. It's actually some of the best Takoyaki and Curry I've had in a while. Things were actually cooked and delicious! (Side eyeing Matsuyama.) Though the curry was a bit unorthodox compared to others I've had, everything worked well together and I felt great eating it, felt great after eating it. It was just goof. I love the atmosphere, it feels very genuine and reminiscent of some of the restaurants I've been to in Japan. They were VERY kind and overall, I would recommend this to literally anyone. 10/10“

“We have eaten at Tenkyu a couple times now and have had a great experience and delicious sushi every time! Highly suggest sitting at the bar area and enjoying watching your rolls be made. The ingredients are fresh and rolls are full of flavor!“

“Hey, this place, just open for 3 months in San Rafael, is a find, at least for me. In case you haven't noticed, sushi prices have soared, but here the sashimi (basic but excellent) was very reasonably priced, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I went for the sashimi to test the quality of the fish and now I'll be going back to sample the enormous collection of rolls. I'm not usually an 'all you can eat guy' but their deal on this seems remarkable!“

“I inhaled most of the sushi. I called 10 minutes before they closed for pickup asking for a really good special roll. I remember she said something about tuna. I of course said yes as long as there’s no cream cheese or bell peppers. The sweet lady was patient and took my order.

“I stopped by here to grab a togo order after shopping in the complex here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was well packaged when I came to pick it up.

The udon was perfectly cooked, the broth was flavorful and well seasoned, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh.

The baked fish dish was also excellent, well sauced and seasoned, and my kids enjoyed it! This was a big win because of how picky they tend to be.

The sushi rolls were well constructed and flavorful. I personally prefer a little bit more sushi rice in my rolls but the style here is a pretty standard ratio, so it's still good.

I will say the prices are on the higher end for sushi places, but given the location this isn't particularly surprising. I still felt I got appropriate value for my money, and I will return the next time I'm in the area, which is probably the best recommendation I can give :)“
