Starbucks in San Jose

“I just have to say that I had the most wonderful service at Starbucks this morning. I have been coming in consistently to get my iced vanilla latte and breakfast sandwiches this past week and between yesterday and today, I had to replace my debit card due to suspicious activity. I was issued a temporary card which doesn’t include the chip and upon ordering my usual order, my card was not being accepted. I didn’t realize that it didn’t have a chip until it was too late, and we tried other options to accept it, but it wouldn’t work.

My barista was Blair, and he had consistently seen me coming in over the course of the past week as well. He was so sweet and kind, and as I’m scrambling to figure out what else I can do, he actually covered my coffee and sandwiches. I was absolutely shocked and replied to him, “Seriously? Omg, are you sure?” it was so unexpected and it was incredibly gracious of him to do that for someone.

I really enjoy coming to this particular Starbucks because it is all inclusive and filled with diverse people who really do care and pay attention to their customers. I always see regulars coming in with big smiles and the social interactions are always positive. I know this isn’t relative for every location , and there are Starbucks on every corner in the city, but this is certainly one that takes the cake for me and will always appreciate the team who works there.“

“Nothing out if the ordinary, it's a typical Starbucks. It's pretty spacious, has outdoor seating, and the staff are friendly. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the line wasn't long.Th parking directly in front of the store is a little tight.“

“Its a Starbucks, you're not going to be getting gourmet coffee and pastries here but it does the job. The customer service is good but the selection of food is often limited compared to other Starbucks locations and the inside is slightly run down and not the most clean. Still a decent work and study spot though.

Update: I went again today and there was a homeless individual sleeping in the middle of the patio which is not too surprising knowing this area but its still a big issue“

“Newer, clean, spacious, well-designed layout. Open path to get in, wait, and get out. Lots of bench seating along windows with lots of outlets. A bunch of table seating outside.Parking is easy, in large lot. Easily, one of the better locations.“

“I have never provided Starbucks a 4 in these two categories. Service and Atmosphere. The Head person there is Amazing at her craft of leadership and genuine in how she knows the customers that walk in. I enjoy the return to this particular Starbucks. Unfortunately, this Manager / Starbucks Leader is departing soon. I believe from observation once she leaves Welcome to the Family will go with her.“

“I used to work at Starbucks and loved it. I loved connecting with customers and remembering regulars’ names. Unfortunately, my Starbucks journey came to an end, but the memories remain in my heart. This location has an amazing team; they’re fast, and friendly, and the store is really clean. Big shoutout to Joe. He remembers my name and he’s always very polite. He’s a great asset to the team.“

Wheelchair accessibility: Multiple handicap with wheelchair space right in front. Well maintained ramps and smooth surfaces for easy access. Heavy glass double doors so wheelchair might have a slight issue but not that bad.“

“I frequent many Starbucks in the San Jose area, but this location is the best . Staff are friendly & greeting the customers is very inviting. Manager is very aware when it gets crowded & helps engage the customers while providing good service. Starbucks Inc should give the employees a bonus for making customers feel welcome z“

I made a mobile order and it was ready within 7 mins of my arrival. Very nice and friendly staff. The tables are clean and this is a generally quiet location.

It’s also located right next to a planet fitness, McDonalds, and a bunch of other restaurants. Good location“

“I love San Jose. I just found my new happy place at this location in the south. The service, drink and food was amazing. The strawberry green tea infusion and their roasted ham and swiss was too good. I don’t give five stars much but this place I will!!!“

“It is so rare to find Starbucks baristas who put in extra effort, and the baristas here have made this my favorite location! I messed up my order and they got me a new one, they saw I was working and brought my sandwich to me, remembered my name when I was leaving, just great all around! Not sure of his name- with an “Mo”? Really good and friendly staff here but Andrew is at the top of the list for me. Very friendly, welcoming, efficient and makes my Cold Brew the best out of any other Starbucks.“

“This Starbucks is conveniently located on our way to work. Mornings can be busy, but the staff quickly handles orders. We often use the app to save time, and they add cute stickers to our drinks that brighten our day. The interior is nice, and the service is excellent with friendly staff. We love coming here.“

“Love this smaller neighborhood Starbucks. Staff is always friendly and smiling while they deliver my timely and much-needed caffeine. I've never had a poorly crafted or sloppy drink or food item. The store is cozy and tidy.

Kid-friendliness: I love seeing all the kids eating snacks alongside parents in this safe and friendly location.

Parking: Plentiful and free. I've never seen the lot anywhere near full.“

“Recently moved into the neighborhood and I’m trying to figure out my go to Starbucks and this one seems to be the winner.

I try to leave my place around 5:00am and this Starbucks is open bright and early!!! Seems like they are open earlier than most Starbucks in San Jose. That’s great!!!

I’ve never used mobile pick up through drive thru until this week and decided to try it since it’s more convenient than getting out of the car. It has been great!!! The employees who I’ve encountered here bright and early have been wonderful too!!! Thank you!!!

“Semi regular stop on the way home from riding Calero or Santa Theresa. A trenta refresher hits the spot after a hot ride.Stopped in this afternoon after a ride about ten minutes before closing. Staff were clearly getting ready to close up but were happy to serve us anyway and even dealt with my son’s customizations. Thanks team, those drinks were really needed.“

“This Starbucks has great employees. They're always more than happy to greet you and take your order. I especially love going to this one in particular because line's are short which means quick service.

“Most of the downtown Starbucks seem to be closed in San Jose which is not a loss as they all look like bummed out buildings more likely to be found in Fallujah than South of San Francisco that said this one is here and doing well thanks to awesome staff like Alex to go out of their way to help and are examples of enthusiasm and energy unbelievably so even at the most odd and tiring of times.

For What it's worth the new pistachio latte kind of socks and the bacon and egg gouda sandwiches has gone downhill

“The Starbucks at River View is my go-to spot for coffee. As a regular, I appreciate the consistently well-made drinks and the clean, spacious environment. There’s plenty of room to sit, both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to relax or work. Highly recommend this location for its reliability and welcoming atmosphere!“

“Just about what you'd expect from a Starbucks, whether you like them or hate or anywhere in between -- this location is like every other Starbucks you know what you're going to get and they consistently deliver it. Really nothing else to add positive or negative.“

“This store is grab and go only. They don't have any seating or a drive through. There isn't even outside seating. They do have merchandise inside and they make all the drinks. Parking is okay. We ate in the park in the parking lot because there's nowhere to eat inside. They do have a bathroom.

Parking: Always plenty of parking, just don't come here after 8 AM. As it is very busy and there's a lot of seniors that hang out here and read the paper. Believe it or not, they still do very impressed by. They're friendliness and always willing to engage. Anybody that's willing to have a conversation. You might learn something from these seniors

“Had a bad morning and came into target to get some groceries. I ended up getting Starbucks and the staff there are amazing. Thai was the guy who helped me, his service was nice and quick, he knew his stuff. First time ever getting greeted into at a Starbucks. Would definitely come back!“

“Fully stocked but tucked into the Safeway, this location is very convenient for me. I like putting my order in and then going to quickly shop for essentials. With the pharmacy at the Safeway, I found myself waiting for a prescription fill once so I went and got a drink while I waited. This location was also just remodeled, updating it's look and equipment.“

“This is a Starbucks location located inside a Target department store, just like many other such Target locations have a Starbucks inside them. As far as the Starbucks offerings go, it's standard faire Starbucks and you know what to expect and they generally deliver it. So you like Starbucks and you happen to be inside this Target location, then no reason not to go.“
