And they have a little hidden oasis in the back where one can eat a crazy good burger & spiced fries.

“Coworkers and I were actually looking for a different restaurant, got lost, decided to eat here and I am so glad we did because this place is DELICIOUS. The naan bread was SO good, crispy and chewy and fresh. I had the veggie korma, my coworkers had chicken curry dishes, we all had rice, everyone was delighted. I got a mango lasse to go and it too was fantastic. Our waiter was very nice too and we were served quickly. Total stroke of luck to wind up in front of this place, since we all want to go again soon.“

“Okay wow. My kids love this spot and I never tried it bc I thought it was just whatever but I finally ordered a single tender for myself to see what the hype was all about and it was so good!!! I got mild which is just a tiny kick but not where you need to find water and it was so good! Amazingly crispy even after waiting after I had driven home to eat it and the pickles and super soft slice of bread was the perfect complement. The batter is very tasty with a hint of sweet and the chicken itself felt like great quality and wasn’t dry. Okay I get it now! Will order myself some food the next time the kids ask for this!“

“I've been wanting to visit forever, and it didn't disappoint! We arrived near opening time with no wait, but there was a line by the time we finished.

We shared smoked brisket, smoked ayam lumpia, nasi goreng, rujak slaw, and macaroni goreng—just the right amount for three of us. The brisket was tender, and everything was flavorful, with the slaw providing a nice crunch. I'd definitely return!“

It was juicy, and had just the right amount of seasoning which allowed for dynamic dipping flavor action. That this place is in a supermarket and the service is a bit here or there adds to the charm. Jambalaya is awesome, great kick. Mac n cheese is okay. Mashed tatos is what you would expect.“

“When I search for a burrito I’m looking for the biggest messiest flavor packed burrito I can find—Casa Maria’s birria burrito had me on the floor. I went back the next day for the shredded chicken and it was quality meat soaked in a delicious sauce. The spicy salsa was thick, spicy, and amazing. They do not skimp here. They are also friendly and clean. Impressed all around. Don’t hesitate, eat here.“

“We usually get delivery, but have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times, and it's been a comfortable experience.

The food, though—the food is soooo good! The pizza is always a good choice, and I often find myself going for the rigatoni pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It's cooked perfectly, and it comes with garlic bread!

The salads are a good size for sharing, and we usually order the Caesar.

They offer halal meat options, which is not a consideration for me, but it's good to see that they are conscious of their customers' needs and preferences.

“Really tasty chicken and spice was perfect. I enjoy the music they play and it’s very chill and calm when everyone is eating and vibing, lots of seating and not over crowded. The fries were also very crispy and big. Dave’s hot chicken was just way too packed full of children and too busy to bother to order and dine in. We saw this place was close by open late and we all went and really enjoyed the food ten times better not to mention they have a drive thru too if you don’t want to go inside and order. “My husband and I have been coming here for 5 years now and we just love the food here. We get the Quabili Pallow which is a lamb dish with fragrant rice mixed with carrots and raisins and it is absolutely delicious every time. We also get the chicken thigh kabobs which are reminiscent of Tandoori chicken in flavor and texture. We all but lick the plate clean each time.“

We had lunch here and the food was really delicious. We ordered the qabuli palo, house salad, and chicken wings — everything was perfect.

The qabuli palo was flavorful and cooked just right, with tender meat and aromatic rice. The house salad was fresh and a great balance to the meal.

But the crispy wings were such a WOW. Seasoned perfectly, super crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Easily the highlight.

Service was friendly and the place felt welcoming. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

“We needed a larger table for my mom’s bday in a last minute decision to have dinner here, and although during their busier time, we were lucky and got a table. Nity was so kind, attentive and accommodating from the very start of our first phone call. She recommended a set menu for our party size and gave great recommendations. The process was smooth, informative and her communication was good. The entire staff was friendly and professional while also being polite and respectful. Food was served hot and freshly made and everything we had tasted excellent and nothing was over bearing. This included the super yummy and summery watermelon salad, malai chicken, tawa shrimp, baigan bharta, chole, dum biriyani, butter chicken, kheer brûlée and some pistachio trés leches! Kudos to the chefs! I know it can be hard to make a choice for Indian food in Berkeley but I recommend Noor, 10/10 ! “Punjabi Dhaba is my go-to indian food spot, it's truly so yummy. They have a great selection of indian dishes, and they are all executed very well, with great spice.
My favorite is the chicken biryani, but the chicken tikka and chicken vindalo are both great as well. MY ONLY WARNING is that the chicken tikka is very HEAVY. I think they must use a lot of butter or heavy cream or cheese or something, because eating the chicken tikka makes me feel like I have rocks in my stomach afterwards, so just keep that in mind. If you get their chicken tikka, I recommend getting a second dish (like the biryani) and splitting both with a friend, or splitting it across 2 meals.
Anyways their biryani is spiced really well, with great depth of flavor, and is never salty or unbalanced. It's really delicious always. Their chicken tikka is also super yummy (just remember it's very heavy), and I love to get it with my friends because the flavor is super creamy and rich. The vindalo is delicious and I love that they do make it actually spicy. Not so spicy that its overpowering, but it is properly spicy, while still letting the great spices shine.
Another thing is that their chicken dishes tend to have pretty dry chicken, but that's never an issue for me because I always get a side of raita (yogurt sauce) which goes so amazingly with the biryani, and I also love to get their mint chutney, because it's just amazing. But I think I just like mint.
The workers are also very nice, I normally see the same two men working the cash register, and they are both very polite and helpful. I never feel rushed or unwanted. I feel like they are very patient, and I appreciate that.
The inside of the restaurant is very small, with only 1 bar and 4 stools to sit on, but there is plenty of seating in the courtyard. I also like the decorations inside the restaurant, it feels cozy to me.
Overall: Please come here at least once. The food is delicious, not overpriced considering the portions, and they don't skimp on the protein in any of the dishes. A single dish from them will easily fill me to the point of almost bursting.
OH also their naan is very fluffy and delicious, with a great flavor and chew. Please try them!!!“
