“We were immediately greeted and seated (we made reservations online in advance)... our waitress greeted us within a short period of time and took our cocktail order... I'm happy they offer my favorite wine, Austin Hope Cabernet by the glass... I've only known Ember to offer it!... My son ordered a Ni Rada? Martini that tasted how I imagine a household cleaner to taste, he reluctantly sucked it down... we didn't bother to complain but we wouldn't recommend it... he later ordered a Paper Plane Martini which he liked better... After reading other reviews, I see we didn't get the initial bread w/Ricotta offering, probably for the best since we've cut down on gluten and wanted to try a pasta dish... We started with a (not pictured) POLPETTE (large meatball) and it was moist, flavorful, & yummy... alongside PAPPARDELLE RAGU, I was hesitant about it due to not being a fan of lamb... however, it was cooked perfectly without any hint of the game flavor I dislike... my only complaint is there isn't a gluten-free pasta substitute option... It may not be Michelin standard... but it would be great to have some gluten-free Ancient Harvest pasta with any of those yummy ragu/pasta sauces available for the many people with gluten sensitivities... MARY'S 1/2 CHICKEN was flavorful and yummy with the silky mashed potatoes... and the melt-in-your-mouth OSSO BUCCO and tasty polenta did not disappoint!... The atmosphere is cozy with home-style elegance... From the initial welcoming greeting, the friendly & timely food service, the "in-tune" staff that directs you to the restroom without having to ask, the constant spotting of Nate's friendly smile as he ensures his operations are running smooth and the thanks for your patronage as you leave... our experience was pleasantly memorable... This was my 2nd visit to Nate's... the first time I had the pork chop which was flavorful, tender and simply superb... We will return!”

“Our experience with the restaurant and Van our waiter was excellent. The reason I did not give it a 5 star was because when we arrived the hostess/waitress was not concerned that we had a 5:00 reservation to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, never acknowledged it, even though on open table site asked if was a special occasion. She sat us down and handed us a wine list which had red sauce on it, she clearly saw it and did not acknowledge it. It would have been nice it someone would have acknowledged our celebration. That's all. We went there because our son gave us a gift card and restaurant was recommended by a friend. We were visiting not locals. Thank you .”

I only buy Riesling from here (this is my go-to place for it & when people ask where to get a good bottle this is always my first & only answer/choice).

Staff have always been kind, full of knowledge and speak from expertise & the property is very inviting the moment you pull up. Staff will take great care of you without the feeling of a high-pressure salesperson breathing down your neck.

They also have excellent white wines, too.

This coffee store has a very friendly and relaxed vibe and it is clear the business is frequented by locals and the staff and locals are familiar with each other. It is a nice place downtown to sit and relax while enjoying a well executed coffee drink. The staff is friendly and efficient.”

“We simply loved our first time at Kitchen & Vine today! (SLO Public Market). I enjoyed the classic breakfast. Hearty, high quality bacon! Delicious. The potatoes were awesome. I grew up on a farm, and on breakfast like this, and I love that I can find it "farm fresh" here in SLO. The sourdough bread was fantastic! It had us ask "do you make your bread or who does?" Back Porch Bakery was the response. So great. Peter said to me, "please get some." 😊 We also loved the setting, the spaciousness of the place. Really big patio and outdoor space. And, a wonderful woman took our order. She totally heard me, got us and delivered. See, my husband likes his hot food really HOT in temperature and his cold food really COLD. So when we order we always make a special request about it. She was so great AND when she brought his Carnitas Scramble out it was STEAMING. 🥰 It was also delicious. Finally, our dog Sophie was seen and appreciated. A server came by and asked if he could bring her a bowl of water. A big bowl came and she lapped it up appreciatively. We'll be back. We already know it's going to be a favorite. Wonderful energy. ❤️”

Only came out when a customer walked in to order at the counter.She chose to help the walk in orders instead. Looked right at her when she did that!!! and still ignored me. “This was a good Korean BBQ place. SLO needed one. Don't want to make the trip to Santa Maria. Most of the meat was good and we enjoyed it. Really needed a fish option. Loved the beef bulogi and marinated pork and chicken. Sides were good. Service was excellent and the attitude and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Will definitely be back especially for the price! Quick service especially for a Friday night!”

“Working around the corner last week, I decided to pop in for lunch. I only get 30 min so time is of the essence. I was greeted with a smile immediately, seated and drink order taken. Once my lunch order was taken it took literally 5 min to receive it-this is what I call top service. The place was remarkably clean, staff was super friendly and great, and to top if off, I was out of there within 20 min. I have a have had bad experiences at other Dennys, but this one changed my thought about it all together. I will defiantly be back when working in SLO again. Thanks Dennys team!”

“Absolutely fantastic Hawaiian BBQ. Total comfort food. They are closed for Summer, but this is my go-to Hawaiian place in SLO. The fried fish and coleslaw are particularly bomb. I highly recommend takeout, vs eating in, however, as the atmosphere is very strange. There is no music playing or anything so it’s often dead silent in there. Definitely more of a takeout place. Also I recommend asking for extra sauce, as typically they only provide a small amount. Great food.”

The beef empanada large. The passion fruit drink, Maracuya, refreshing. All house made authentic Peruvian food. I hope you will visit Coya and enjoy the food as much as we did. The ambience beautifully decorated with traditional Peruvian products, clothing, hats, purses, dolls, cookies, coffee and lamas. Large dinning room and outdoor seating nice. We went for wine tasting combined with lunch and picked the place due to multiple food options and it did not disappoint.

“I had dinner in Paso a week ago. I noticed when I was looking on line at my bank withdraws they charged me twice. It was 12.60 and showed the next day the same charge. Whice was the same day we went in to tell them. We only ate there the one time. We went in to talk to a manager and he wasn't there. The girl working called him. (The owner)He wasn't very good with his customer service. He wanted us to come back the next day at 4 and he'd look at it. He should have told her to just take care of us. I had printed out my statement to show them. We've been eating there for as long as they've been open. I left irritated, it wasn't a 50.00 charge. It was under 13.00. Long story short I went to my bank and they stopped the second charge. Now I will only use cash if I go in there. The owner should have just taken care of us! Food is always good. Ate in the one in San Luis Obispo and they were good also. Just disappointed how he didn't handle it.”

“I've been eating at Kona’s Deli since the 1990s, and it’s still one of my favorite sandwich spots in San Luis Obispo. The quality has always been consistent—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor. My go-to orders are the tuna with cheddar and the Pipeline—both are absolutely delicious. The bread is especially great, soft with just the right amount of chew. My only complaint is that I wish they had longer hours during the week—I can only make it in on weekends due to my work schedule. Still, always worth the wait. Kona’s is a true SLO staple.”

“Fantastic ice cream, and hands down the best flavors I have ever had.

Their portions are generous and don’t leave you wondering where the rest of your scoop is. We appreciated the employees recommendations for flavor choices for our flight of ice cream. Sally’s Waffle was surprisingly our top flavor, and it paired so well with the Roasted Strawberry. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake had a great swirl of cherries in it that was so good! The Espresso flavor was very good and quite rich, perfect for coffee lovers and would do great paired with a chocolate sauce on top.

Our children each got their own flavors that we tried and the Mint was classic and not overly flavored. The S’mores was hands down a top flavor!

I appreciated their commitment to try their hardest to use mix ins made in house like graham crackers and marshmallows is top notch.

The quality is immediately noticed when you take your first spoonful. You will not regret stopping in.”

“BEST RAMEN IN SLO !! We ordered the Seared Pork Belly Tonkotsu, Pork Shoulder Spicy Miso, and Cold Ramen. Overall, the ramen was super yummy and I really enjoyed the nice atmosphere and ambiance of the place. 😋

Although the food is on the pricier end, I believe it's worth the price.

There's also indoor and outdoor seating available but we sat outdoors with the heaters on since it was a little breezy that day. We placed a reservation but they take walk-ins as well.

“The most amazing taqueria! Our friend group has been obsessed with Leslie’s ever since they started parking out front of Campus Bottle! This past weekend we had them cater our graduation party and it was the cherry on top of grad weekend. Not only was the service AMAZING the tacos were PHENOMENAL! Can’t recommend them enough. “I live out of the area but I come here every chance I get! Their ice cream has the best consistency and they truly have great flavors. Once, I even tried their sugar free ice cream and i didnt want to believe it was sugar free! It tasted so delicious! They are ao incredibly friendly also! But besides their ice cream and friendliness, im really wanting to post this because of their customer service!!! My father is a regular. He had been looking for a place to replace old doc Bernsteins ice cream and he found it here! Every Thursday night during farmers market, he goes there and gets the black raspberry ice cream. He absolutely loves it! We found out that when they get close to running out of that ice cream, they would save a scoop of it just for my dad. How amazing is it to find service like that. Someone that would go out of their way to save some for a customer.”

“Food was great, had the smashburger and a tri tip burrito which both were yummy. Prices on food are kind of high, everything was like $20 and up a meal. My margarita seltzer was meh, it had a funny taste to it and would not recommend, but the Mexican lager was good. Service staff was friendly and had a good vibe and music. Would go back again.”

“Good beer and reasonable pricing. Had a bit of an issue with some new staff, asked for lucky day ipa got charged for double hopped lucky day for an extra dollar. Bought second beer during happy hour and got charged full price. Their POS was not transparent about the price as it only showed the total. I had to check the receipt on my phone. I complained and the bartender pulled out $2 out of their wallet. I had paid tax and tip on the incorrect amount. Also didn't get the other dollar from the wrong beer being charged. I messaged management on their feedback program via Toast but that's a new setup for them so i didn't hear back. Management reached out to me after posting my initial google review and resolved the issue.”
