“Omg!!! Only good things to say about Kiko’s!!! The hospitality is unmatched, everyone made us feel so welcome. The manager, servers, and Kiko himself are all very kind, enthusiastic, and warm. Excited to keep coming back!!”
“The most creative menu and remarkable Mexican food I have had in years. Everything was unique, obviously make with care and love. Can't wait to return. The beautiful restaurant is loaded with heart and very soulful. These folks know about feeding the heart.”
“We were immediately greeted and seated (we made reservations online in advance)... our waitress greeted us within a short period of time and took our cocktail order... I'm happy they offer my favorite wine, Austin Hope Cabernet by the glass... I've only known Ember to offer it!... My son ordered a Ni Rada? Martini that tasted how I imagine a household cleaner to taste, he reluctantly sucked it down... we didn't bother to complain but we wouldn't recommend it... he later ordered a Paper Plane Martini which he liked better... After reading other reviews, I see we didn't get the initial bread w/Ricotta offering, probably for the best since we've cut down on gluten and wanted to try a pasta dish... We started with a (not pictured) POLPETTE (large meatball) and it was moist, flavorful, & yummy... alongside PAPPARDELLE RAGU, I was hesitant about it due to not being a fan of lamb... however, it was cooked perfectly without any hint of the game flavor I dislike... my only complaint is there isn't a gluten-free pasta substitute option... It may not be Michelin standard... but it would be great to have some gluten-free Ancient Harvest pasta with any of those yummy ragu/pasta sauces available for the many people with gluten sensitivities... MARY'S 1/2 CHICKEN was flavorful and yummy with the silky mashed potatoes... and the melt-in-your-mouth OSSO BUCCO and tasty polenta did not disappoint!... The atmosphere is cozy with home-style elegance... From the initial welcoming greeting, the friendly & timely food service, the "in-tune" staff that directs you to the restroom without having to ask, the constant spotting of Nate's friendly smile as he ensures his operations are running smooth and the thanks for your patronage as you leave... our experience was pleasantly memorable... This was my 2nd visit to Nate's... the first time I had the pork chop which was flavorful, tender and simply superb... We will return!”
“What an absolutely stunning vineyard experience!! We brought our toddler with us and Terra was so accommodating! The wines were fabulous, very reasonably priced, and the grounds are gorgeous! Child friendly, 5 star service! I cannot praise them enough! The story of this vineyard is also incredibly sweet, ask about it! ;)”

“Food was great, but the service was super slow. If service had been better it would’ve easily been 5 stars.
Had the tacu tacu, el Misti, and the gyoza. All delicious. Dessert was the rice pudding, and wasn’t the best in my opinion.”

“Stopped for coffee and to squeeze in some work. Ordered the Abuelita's coffee, and though I'm not usually an oat milk fan, it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. Plenty of tables inside with great music! I do wish they had some quick bites like a croissant or muffin, but other than that, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“We love Ziggy’s!! GREAT delicious plant-based comfort food and warm, fast, friendly service! I love the spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich, the Avalon burger with arugula and Gouda, the Black Bean Taquitos, and the Avocado Tacos. Ziggy’s is absolutely awesome! Live long and prosper, Ziggy’s!”
“Sam and Mariah are such exemplary and loving community members that their bread is as good as it is. And Mariah just started making the best scones on top of all the love and work she pours into bread all morning!! Her and Sam work as crazy hard as they do because they love it and we love you bread bike!!”
“I love, love, love Sequel. Love the staff and owner, they are all so kind. The quality of their drinks are unmatched. Boba is cooked perfectly! Let me put it to you this way….I drive all the way from Lemoore California to get this drink(90 miles). Keep up the good work!!!!”
“There Does Not Exist is an absolute labor of love for craft beer fans to enjoy on the Central Coast. I've tried many beers made in SLO county over the years, but since trying TDNE for the 1st time in 2020, they take the cake when it comes to the best varietal beers top to bottom.”
“Benny’s Pizza Palace is the real deal! Amazing Detroit-style pizza with that perfect crispy edge, a cool laid-back atmosphere, and a staff that makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect SLO spot to grab a slice, sip something cold, and vibe with the locals. Highly recommend! 🍕🍻”
“Absolutely wonderful Thai food if you're looking for a great place to eat for lunch or dinner in San Luis Obispo you have to check out the Thai Palace which is right downtown tucked away in a little alley. A lot of their food can be prepared gluten free and it's clearly marked on the menu. I would say Don't just settle for the pad thai but get something really incredible like the Pad Gra prow. Also if you like ginger you definitely have to check out their hot ginger tea it's very similar to what we make at home very strong Ginger flavor very healthy just delicious. The service was phenomenal the food was awesome and the atmosphere was very cool. I will definitely be back with my family. I don't think there are any Chinese restaurants in the area in Pismo or SLO that offer gluten-free but I think this place is even better. Also if you're vegan I think they have options for that too.”

“Had a very positive experience at Scout Coffee. It showed in several travel videos for SLO so I decided to try it while visiting and was not disappointed. This coffee store has a very friendly and relaxed vibe and it is clear the business is frequented by locals and the staff and locals are familiar with each other. It is a nice place downtown to sit and relax while enjoying a well executed coffee drink. The staff is friendly and efficient.”

“Lovely place to visit if you are in the area.
They have very nice ambience with outdoor sitting on deck, surrounded by flowers. The staff is very curtious and helpful.
We went for wine tasting combined with lunch and picked the place due to multiple food options and it did not disappoint.
Wine flight had great selection from Paso robles area wines and the panini and flatbread were just a perfect pair.”
“First time and attended Graduation dinner.
Casual ambiance with multiple seating options on multiple floors. We were seated outside on a warm summer day.
Service was efficient.
Food was presented well, flavorful and portioned perfectly to share.
Overall, a solid spot for a great meal.”
“The owner of this vineyard and winery is innovative, intelligent, and loves everything agricultural about this land. He is inspiring and I am sure his wines are superb. This is a beautiful place to visit. On the weekends during the summer he has live music. Check them out to host your next wine tasting event.”
“We had the most tasty Peruvian food in downtown San Luis Obispo at Coya in their new location at 851 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The chicken saltado one of the best I have ever had. The beef empanada large. The passion fruit drink, Maracuya, refreshing. All house made authentic Peruvian food. I hope you will visit Coya and enjoy the food as much as we did. The ambience beautifully decorated with traditional Peruvian products, clothing, hats, purses, dolls, cookies, coffee and lamas. Large dinning room and outdoor seating nice. We can’t wait to visit again to try More Peruvian food. Catalina the owner, very welcoming and took good care of us. Thank you 🥰”

“Fantastic izakaya dishes and wonderful service!
We called ahead to make a reservation, and Gustavo was incredibly accommodating and managed to get us a table right away.
Everything we ordered was incredibly tasty, but the absolute highlight of the meal was definitely the Yellowtail Collar (Hamachi Kama)—it was perfectly grilled, rich, and flavorful.
We also really enjoyed the classic izakaya standard, the Agedashi Tofu (v Perfectly cooked tofu and delicious sauce) and comforting Kitsune soba as well as the perfectly crispy Chicken Karaage served with that delicious spiced mayo dip.
If you're looking for high-quality, authentic Japanese comfort food in SLO, this is a must-visit spot. Great food and even better hospitality!”
“We simply loved our first time at Kitchen & Vine today! (SLO Public Market). I enjoyed the classic breakfast. Hearty, high quality bacon! Delicious. The potatoes were awesome. I grew up on a farm, and on breakfast like this, and I love that I can find it "farm fresh" here in SLO. The sourdough bread was fantastic! It had us ask "do you make your bread or who does?" Back Porch Bakery was the response. So great. Peter said to me, "please get some." 😊 We also loved the setting, the spaciousness of the place. Really big patio and outdoor space. And, a wonderful woman took our order. She totally heard me, got us and delivered. See, my husband likes his hot food really HOT in temperature and his cold food really COLD. So when we order we always make a special request about it. She was so great AND when she brought his Carnitas Scramble out it was STEAMING. 🥰 It was also delicious. Finally, our dog Sophie was seen and appreciated. A server came by and asked if he could bring her a bowl of water. A big bowl came and she lapped it up appreciatively. We'll be back. We already know it's going to be a favorite. Wonderful energy. ❤️”
“Poor customer service. Sat down, no one bothered to come to my table to take my order. It wasn't busy either. She was hiding in the back. Only came out when a customer walked in to order at the counter. She chose to help the walk in orders instead. Looked right at her when she did that!!! and still ignored me. I left, will not go back because of it.”
“The meat is deliciously superb! The brisket is incredibly moist and explodes with flavor! Super happy with our choice to come here.”
“Outstanding fresh fish and food!! I has the raw oysters! Amazing! The entrees are plentiful and all soooo tasty!!! Thus place is worth trying! I'm definitely going back!!!”
“I recently stopped in and had a crepe with berries, and espresso for breakfast. The crepe was delicious, generously filled and nicely sized. The espresso, too, was perfect. The owners/operators are friendly, helpful in making selections. I will be back to sample for of their menu selections.”

“Working around the corner last week, I decided to pop in for lunch. I only get 30 min so time is of the essence. I was greeted with a smile immediately, seated and drink order taken. Once my lunch order was taken it took literally 5 min to receive it-this is what I call top service. The place was remarkably clean, staff was super friendly and great, and to top if off, I was out of there within 20 min. I have a have had bad experiences at other Dennys, but this one changed my thought about it all together. I will defiantly be back when working in SLO again. Thanks Dennys team!”
“a great venue for all ages, families and dogs. Staff and service is great.”
“We had the bacon wrapped dates, Brussel sprouts and coconut shrimp tacos with key lime pie for dessert. Perfect amount shared by two. Every bite was delicious! Very creative drink menu, non alcoholic. Lovely outdoor seating and dog friendly.”
“BEST RAMEN IN SLO !! We ordered the Seared Pork Belly Tonkotsu, Pork Shoulder Spicy Miso, and Cold Ramen. Overall, the ramen was super yummy and I really enjoyed the nice atmosphere and ambiance of the place. 😋
Although the food is on the pricier end, I believe it's worth the price.
There's also indoor and outdoor seating available but we sat outdoors with the heaters on since it was a little breezy that day. We placed a reservation but they take walk-ins as well.
I would highly suggest this spot for a first date or for a nicer occasion. I'll definitely be back!”

“I love Petra’s! We found this place at the beginning of Covid and have been going ever since. Last week driving from northern to southern CA we stopped for lunch(of course). I got distracted and left my purse…didn’t notice until Santa Maria. Called, of course they had my purse…AMAZING CREW AMAZING FOOD! Thank you”
“I had dinner in Paso a week ago. I noticed when I was looking on line at my bank withdraws they charged me twice. It was 12.60 and showed the next day the same charge. Whice was the same day we went in to tell them. We only ate there the one time. We went in to talk to a manager and he wasn't there. The girl working called him. (The owner)He wasn't very good with his customer service. He wanted us to come back the next day at 4 and he'd look at it. He should have told her to just take care of us. I had printed out my statement to show them. We've been eating there for as long as they've been open. I left irritated, it wasn't a 50.00 charge. It was under 13.00. Long story short I went to my bank and they stopped the second charge. Now I will only use cash if I go in there. The owner should have just taken care of us! Food is always good. Ate in the one in San Luis Obispo and they were good also. Just disappointed how he didn't handle it.”
“Atmosphere is DOPE!! Unique toppings and lots of different options!! Pear and prosciutto salad, fennel and strawberry salad, Spicy Pig (on Detroit), and Margherita (add hot honey on Neapolitan) we’re FIRE!!”

“I have come here nearly every week or so for years. I order my specific order but I really enjoy the carne asada with the hot (spicy) salsa. I try this order in many many places and it's just not the same...Sandra at the front is really sweet and you'll enjoy a nice lunch here. PS. If you want it just ask for it”
“I had a wonderful dining experience here today. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with great care.
I especially loved the salmon dish, which was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully with orange slices. The soup was equally delicious and hit the spot. I will definitely be back for another meal soon.”
“The falafel was so amazing and a bit of spice to it. Hummus was great! Pita was awesome! I’m vegan but my friend had the combo plate and ate every bit because it was so good! I’m so glad to have another Mediterranean place in town. Especially with that falafel! The best I’ve had around here for sure!”
“Very, very impressed with Thai-rrific. We had pineapple curry, yellow curry, sticky rice, jasmine rice and potstickers. They were all genuinely delicious. Also, the staff was kind and prompt, and they treated our son very well. I can't believe it took us so long to try this place. Can't wait to return.”
“The food is awesome, had Barra tacos 🌮 to die for, the snapper cevieche also again off the hook 🪝 😋 the house guacamole awesome!!!”
“Delicious Mac n cheese and very good tri-tip, loved the breezy seating and friendly staff!”

“Gorgeous place, fantastic service, perfect Turkish coffee, and amazing sweets. I'm always tempted to buy a cup when I am in here, too. They're beautiful.
It's such a great spot to go at the start or end of a dinner or lunch date. The classic lemon Turkish delight is my favorite thing here. You'll get a free little sweet when you order a coffee too.”
“I've been eating at Kona’s Deli since the 1990s, and it’s still one of my favorite sandwich spots in San Luis Obispo. The quality has always been consistent—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor. My go-to orders are the tuna with cheddar and the Pipeline—both are absolutely delicious. The bread is especially great, soft with just the right amount of chew. My only complaint is that I wish they had longer hours during the week—I can only make it in on weekends due to my work schedule. Still, always worth the wait. Kona’s is a true SLO staple.”
“I am a pizza lover and make my own pizza. I’ve been in Italy with my Italian family and have tasted some of the best pizza. Mike, the owner of Palo Mesa Pizza, knows pizza! Perfect crust and not too crazy American style overdose of toppings. He even shared pizza secretes to keep me enthused. His dough to go is better than anywhere else in SLO.”
“I've been eating at Taco Roco for at least 25 years. Pretty sure it's still some of the same employees just a different location. The staff is wonderful! It's almost more of a Gringo style in my opinion, but always amazing flavor. As long as they're open I'll still be eating here. Their salsa that comes with the chips, and the creamy green salsa are my two favorite salsas in the world! My favorite torta as well!”
“I had a wonderful dining experience here today. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with great care.

“Owners and staff are all amazing--always sincerely welcoming; they like people! They go out of their way to accommodate orders, making sure you get the heat level you want. The chicken is expertly cooked--always moist and tender, so good. The spice blend has tons of umami--layers of flavor that take the chicken to another level. And you get to customize it by heat level and dip choices. AB FAB. If I lived in SLO I'd be there every week.”

“Old Slo catered mine and my husbands wedding on September 24, 2022. They delivered and served amazing, quality food. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their service! Not only does Old Slo provide great service and food but they are also reasonably priced. We are so happy we had old Slo cater our wedding.”

“I live out of the area but I come here every chance I get! Their ice cream has the best consistency and they truly have great flavors. Once, I even tried their sugar free ice cream and i didnt want to believe it was sugar free! It tasted so delicious! They are ao incredibly friendly also! But besides their ice cream and friendliness, im really wanting to post this because of their customer service!!! My father is a regular. He had been looking for a place to replace old doc Bernsteins ice cream and he found it here! Every Thursday night during farmers market, he goes there and gets the black raspberry ice cream. He absolutely loves it! We found out that when they get close to running out of that ice cream, they would save a scoop of it just for my dad. How amazing is it to find service like that. Someone that would go out of their way to save some for a customer.”
“Great friendly service, delicious beer (esp their WC IPA), tasty food with some great daily specials, and an awesome U-shaped central bar with the same cushy barstools they have in Paso! Plus they have a walk up window to order from if you want to sit in the SLO Ranch courtyard. And they even have a rewards program for regular customers. Also love that they play actual music videos on the TV. Thx PRBC!”
“Easily SLO’s best rooftop - the spot just underwent a recent revival with new hotel management in place. Great poolside vibes, tasty food and cocktails and top notch service. Perfect spot to unwind after a long week.”
“My family had a fantastic experience at SLO Quesadilla Gorilla! We tried the Chicky Chicky Parm Parm, a Nutella quesadilla, a cheese quesadilla, chips and queso, and churro chips with caramel sauce—everything was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and we even had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. Great quality for the price—we’ll definitely be back!”
“Had an 11 person reservation to celebrate a friend’s birthday! The “All You Can Eat” food was amazing, and well seasoned! At the price point, you can definitely get your fill & your moneys worth. The staff was very accommodating with some last minute reservation updates. Scarlett & Simon specifically took great care of us. We never ran out of side dishes. Our drinks were always full. And each entree course came out quickly! Everyone had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back!”
“Wingstop is its amazing quality and delicious food. They offer a wide variety of mouthwatering wings, perfectly cooked and tossed in an array of signature sauces and dry rubs. From the classic Buffalo and Lemon Pepper to the spicy Mango Habanero, there's a flavor to satisfy every craving. The sides, like the seasoned fries and cheese fries, are also a popular choice, complementing the star of the show – the wings – impeccably. It's a go-to spot for anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal.”
“Great food with an easy atmosphere!”
