“A hidden gem in SLO! The food was high quality and vibes were great! They make in house Peruvian brandy, which was awesomely delicious. The dessert mousse is amazing! I will definitely eat here every time I visit SLO! The owner was very nice and welcoming too. You can feel at home while dining here. We don’t have anything like this in all of LA area!!!”
“We were immediately greeted and seated (we made reservations online in advance)... our waitress greeted us within a short period of time and took our cocktail order... I'm happy they offer my favorite wine, Austin Hope Cabernet by the glass... I've only known Ember to offer it!... My son ordered a Ni Rada? Martini that tasted how I imagine a household cleaner to taste, he reluctantly sucked it down... we didn't bother to complain but we wouldn't recommend it... he later ordered a Paper Plane Martini which he liked better... After reading other reviews, I see we didn't get the initial bread w/Ricotta offering, probably for the best since we've cut down on gluten and wanted to try a pasta dish... We started with a (not pictured) POLPETTE (large meatball) and it was moist, flavorful, & yummy... alongside PAPPARDELLE RAGU, I was hesitant about it due to not being a fan of lamb... however, it was cooked perfectly without any hint of the game flavor I dislike... my only complaint is there isn't a gluten-free pasta substitute option... It may not be Michelin standard... but it would be great to have some gluten-free Ancient Harvest pasta with any of those yummy ragu/pasta sauces available for the many people with gluten sensitivities... MARY'S 1/2 CHICKEN was flavorful and yummy with the silky mashed potatoes... and the melt-in-your-mouth OSSO BUCCO and tasty polenta did not disappoint!... The atmosphere is cozy with home-style elegance... From the initial welcoming greeting, the friendly & timely food service, the "in-tune" staff that directs you to the restroom without having to ask, the constant spotting of Nate's friendly smile as he ensures his operations are running smooth and the thanks for your patronage as you leave... our experience was pleasantly memorable... This was my 2nd visit to Nate's... the first time I had the pork chop which was flavorful, tender and simply superb... We will return!”
“I’m a little late to post.We were there May 2nd but we had the most amazing time, especially With our server, Olivia, she is Fantastic!! She definitely made us feel at home and comfortable and excited about her job and the history of what this place is and has become. Not going to say where we were before, but it wasn’t the same experience. Can’t wait to go back, but I do want to recognize Olivia as just being super Amazing!!! You can tell she loves her job and loves the people/owners. Thank you Olivia.🩷”

“Such a great way to taste wines from all over our area. 2-ounce tastes are great. I enjoyed a couple of whites, then a flight of reds from DRNK for $25. Best tasting variety.”
“Fun family owned winery. Great wine, great people and good location. They do a buttery Chardonnay, a killer petite sirah (inky) and a unique varietal called Teroldego. Buy it if you can get it. The do fun events and Friday Sunset in the Vineyards during the summer with music and food trucks”
“My 2nd time at this place and the grill platters are very flavorful! Also tried the Veracruz fish chowder, a twist on the popular clam chowder. Victoria went above and beyond to make sure our evening was pleasant, she made recommendations and we were not disappointed.”

“Sam and Mariah are such exemplary and loving community members that their bread is as good as it is. And Mariah just started making the best scones on top of all the love and work she pours into bread all morning!! Her and Sam work as crazy hard as they do because they love it and we love you bread bike!!”
“We were here for the first time, and it won't be the last! Great food & beers & service!”
“There Does Not Exist is an absolute labor of love for craft beer fans to enjoy on the Central Coast. I've tried many beers made in SLO county over the years, but since trying TDNE for the 1st time in 2020, they take the cake when it comes to the best varietal beers top to bottom.”

“My wife and I each got a earl grey milk tea (hers with boba) on a quiet Saturday morning. The woman running the place was friendly and prompt, even with no one in line. The drinks where delicious and not too sweet with a clear, rich tea flavor. The boba had the right texture and each drink came in at about 6 bucks, lower than their menu here on maps.
Their cups are also very high quality and could even be reused for quite some time. I'm looking forward to trying some of their matcha drinks on return visits.”
“Lovely place to visit if you are in the area.
They have very nice ambience with outdoor sitting on deck, surrounded by flowers. The staff is very curtious and helpful.
We went for wine tasting combined with lunch and picked the place due to multiple food options and it did not disappoint.
Wine flight had great selection from Paso robles area wines and the panini and flatbread were just a perfect pair.”

“What a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Italian flavors, generous portions, and every dish was prepared perfectly. The service was incredibly fast without ever feeling rushed.
A special thank you to Grace, our waitress, who was totally awesome. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
I also had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Carlos, who was professional, personable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. His great attitude and excellent customer service truly stood out.
Overall, this restaurant deserves a 5-star rating all around for its amazing food, fast service, and exceptional staff. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!”
“I probably had one of the best lunches of my life at the Bear and the Wren earlier today! Chef Mo is the man, we had his Piada with roasted garlic cloves and it was so incredibly delicious I can't stop thinking about it. The allium butter was so smooth it perfectly complemented every texture and flavor of the rest of the dish. The roasted garlic was perfectly cooked and when it mixed with the spread it was actually beautiful, it tasted like I was consuming art. I've been here multiple times and all of their detroit style pizzas are fantastic, the combination of flavors is masterfully done and I always leave excited to come back for more! For dessert we got the Ginger Molasses cast iron Cookie which was potentially the best dessert I've ever had and upon the first bite I genuinely felt my day being brightened and joy overtake me. It's a big enough dessert to share although I would also eat the entire thing by myself because it was that good. To conclude I do and would recommend The Bear & The Wren to anyone who wants to have a fantastic lunch or dinner with great service in a beautiful calm environment!”
“We simply loved our first time at Kitchen & Vine today! (SLO Public Market). I enjoyed the classic breakfast. Hearty, high quality bacon! Delicious. The potatoes were awesome. I grew up on a farm, and on breakfast like this, and I love that I can find it "farm fresh" here in SLO. The sourdough bread was fantastic! It had us ask "do you make your bread or who does?" Back Porch Bakery was the response. So great. Peter said to me, "please get some." 😊 We also loved the setting, the spaciousness of the place. Really big patio and outdoor space. And, a wonderful woman took our order. She totally heard me, got us and delivered. See, my husband likes his hot food really HOT in temperature and his cold food really COLD. So when we order we always make a special request about it. She was so great AND when she brought his Carnitas Scramble out it was STEAMING. 🥰 It was also delicious. Finally, our dog Sophie was seen and appreciated. A server came by and asked if he could bring her a bowl of water. A big bowl came and she lapped it up appreciatively. We'll be back. We already know it's going to be a favorite. Wonderful energy. ❤️”
“Poor customer service. Sat down, no one bothered to come to my table to take my order. It wasn't busy either. She was hiding in the back. Only came out when a customer walked in to order at the counter. She chose to help the walk in orders instead. Looked right at her when she did that!!! and still ignored me. I left, will not go back because of it.”
“I used to not like coming here but the past 2 years or so, it seems like the service and food has improved. I usually get the bottomless soup and recently they have been very attentive at refilling the bowls so that has been nice. My wife loves it here so we will be back. The atmosphere is nice and not usually too loud, which is a plus.”
“Benny’s Pizza Palace is the real deal! Amazing Detroit-style pizza with that perfect crispy edge, a cool laid-back atmosphere, and a staff that makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect SLO spot to grab a slice, sip something cold, and vibe with the locals. Highly recommend! 🍕🍻”

“I recently stopped in and had a crepe with berries, and espresso for breakfast. The crepe was delicious, generously filled and nicely sized. The espresso, too, was perfect. The owners/operators are friendly, helpful in making selections. I will be back to sample for of their menu selections.”

“Working around the corner last week, I decided to pop in for lunch. I only get 30 min so time is of the essence. I was greeted with a smile immediately, seated and drink order taken. Once my lunch order was taken it took literally 5 min to receive it-this is what I call top service. The place was remarkably clean, staff was super friendly and great, and to top if off, I was out of there within 20 min. I have a have had bad experiences at other Dennys, but this one changed my thought about it all together. I will defiantly be back when working in SLO again. Thanks Dennys team!”
“a great venue for all ages, families and dogs. Staff and service is great.”
“We had the bacon wrapped dates, Brussel sprouts and coconut shrimp tacos with key lime pie for dessert. Perfect amount shared by two. Every bite was delicious! Very creative drink menu, non alcoholic. Lovely outdoor seating and dog friendly.”

“We had the most tasty Peruvian food in downtown San Luis Obispo at Coya in their new location at 851 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The chicken saltado one of the best I have ever had. The beef empanada large. The passion fruit drink, Maracuya, refreshing. All house made authentic Peruvian food. I hope you will visit Coya and enjoy the food as much as we did. The ambience beautifully decorated with traditional Peruvian products, clothing, hats, purses, dolls, cookies, coffee and lamas. Large dinning room and outdoor seating nice. We can’t wait to visit again to try More Peruvian food. Catalina the owner, very welcoming and took good care of us. Thank you 🥰”

“I love Petra’s! We found this place at the beginning of Covid and have been going ever since. Last week driving from northern to southern CA we stopped for lunch(of course). I got distracted and left my purse…didn’t notice until Santa Maria. Called, of course they had my purse…AMAZING CREW AMAZING FOOD! Thank you”
“Sidecar is a must here in San Luis Obispo! The staff and the owners and everything about the place will knock your socks off. I think it’s high time. You guys open a second Sidecar by me in So Cal!”
“Absolutely loved it. Wish we lived closer! We went as a family of 6 and it was a wonderful time.
We will definitely be back next time we are in town!”
“What a fab experience...the food was top notch but the highlight of the evening was the service by Francisco..so welcoming, no one intrusive yet attentive. He went out of his way to make our 3 year old happy and comfortable.
Must visit for amazing drinks, great food and absolutely wonderful service”

“I had dinner in Paso a week ago. I noticed when I was looking on line at my bank withdraws they charged me twice. It was 12.60 and showed the next day the same charge. Whice was the same day we went in to tell them. We only ate there the one time. We went in to talk to a manager and he wasn't there. The girl working called him. (The owner)He wasn't very good with his customer service. He wanted us to come back the next day at 4 and he'd look at it. He should have told her to just take care of us. I had printed out my statement to show them. We've been eating there for as long as they've been open. I left irritated, it wasn't a 50.00 charge. It was under 13.00. Long story short I went to my bank and they stopped the second charge. Now I will only use cash if I go in there. The owner should have just taken care of us! Food is always good. Ate in the one in San Luis Obispo and they were good also. Just disappointed how he didn't handle it.”
“I can only recommend trying their beans. I bought a bag while I was visiting SLO.
It seems a few places carry them, sometimes the Tiny pop up sells their beans as well.
Tried them at home with our automatic coffee machine and the coffee has been delicious- the smell is great too.
Best latte ever!
Their own beans “surfdog blend” is also amazing. Overall such a charming little cafe and friendly people.
I recommend them to everyone traveling through SLO.”
“Absolutely amazing service and amazing food. Went in for a taco, it was the juiciest taco I’ve ever had. Sick of most places serving meat with burnt pieces, charred scraps, and excessive amounts of fat. Taco de Mexico serves tacos with none of that. On top of that the rice is amazing, definitely authentic. And the service was so welcoming. Definitely coming back!”
“The service was excellent. We sat at the sushi bar and had a very good time talking with the personable sushi chef, Kevin. Due to allergy and not liking spicy hot food, my choices are limited. We had 3 special rolls that were good. They were very large and came with a salad and miso soup. We had a very good experience.”
“I've been eating at Taco Roco for at least 25 years. Pretty sure it's still some of the same employees just a different location. The staff is wonderful! It's almost more of a Gringo style in my opinion, but always amazing flavor. As long as they're open I'll still be eating here. Their salsa that comes with the chips, and the creamy green salsa are my two favorite salsas in the world! My favorite torta as well!”
“Delicious Mac n cheese and very good tri-tip, loved the breezy seating and friendly staff!”

“Awesome food, they have one of my favorite dishes: butternut squash ravioli with a white sauce. I finish the whole plate even if I’m so full I could pop! Outstanding service and a great atmosphere. I love Giuseppe’s 💖”

“Owners and staff are all amazing--always sincerely welcoming; they like people! They go out of their way to accommodate orders, making sure you get the heat level you want. The chicken is expertly cooked--always moist and tender, so good. The spice blend has tons of umami--layers of flavor that take the chicken to another level. And you get to customize it by heat level and dip choices. AB FAB. If I lived in SLO I'd be there every week.”

“We love Ziggy’s!! GREAT delicious plant-based comfort food and warm, fast, friendly service! I love the spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich, the Avalon burger with arugula and Gouda, the Black Bean Taquitos, and the Avocado Tacos. Ziggy’s is absolutely awesome! Live long and prosper, Ziggy’s!”
“Old Slo catered mine and my husbands wedding on September 24, 2022. They delivered and served amazing, quality food. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their service! Not only does Old Slo provide great service and food but they are also reasonably priced. We are so happy we had old Slo cater our wedding.”

“Joebella is now franchise. The warm local charm all gone. This is usually due to the owner of the business stressing out the employees. If you were a Joebella customer in the past, and go there now, you'll notice the change in atmosphere right away. Might as well be going to starbucks.”
“Delicious, pure, clean Ramen! We had one Tonkotsu Ramen and one Duck Truffel Ramen- both were delicious. Serving size perfect. Flavors were spot one. We started with the Bluefin Maguro Sashimi- very good quality and excellent flavor. Even the beer was good! We opted for the Cyonmage Japanese Beer- terrific lunch! We will visit this place whenever we are in the neighborhood”
“I live out of the area but I come here every chance I get! Their ice cream has the best consistency and they truly have great flavors. Once, I even tried their sugar free ice cream and i didnt want to believe it was sugar free! It tasted so delicious! They are ao incredibly friendly also! But besides their ice cream and friendliness, im really wanting to post this because of their customer service!!! My father is a regular. He had been looking for a place to replace old doc Bernsteins ice cream and he found it here! Every Thursday night during farmers market, he goes there and gets the black raspberry ice cream. He absolutely loves it! We found out that when they get close to running out of that ice cream, they would save a scoop of it just for my dad. How amazing is it to find service like that. Someone that would go out of their way to save some for a customer.”
“Ive been here a couple times and every single time it is amazing! I love the energy and vibe of all the workers, the coffee AND food is great (lots of places make me feel like i have to pick good food OR good coffee, but not here!) i plan on coming back often!”
“Nothing like ending the day at Paso Brew of San Luis. Have been coming in with the old lady since they opened and this service cannot be beat— come and see it for yourself! Wes has been a staple of our experience since our first visit and we always look forward to seeing him. Genuine service and conversation and setting a great tone for the taproom! At Paso Brew, you’re never drinking alone!”
“I’m from NYC and can I say Gizzy’s bagels are freaking top notch. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Helped me figure out which bagel I wanted. Ended up getting an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, cucumber and pepper flakes. It was amazing. The ingredients/ bagels are super fresh. Definitely one of my top choices for bagels in SLO. Don’t sleep on Gizzy’s.”
“Found my new favorite spot to soak in the sun in downtown SLO! Headwaters has the best views in downtown, hands down. The pool, comfy loungers, food and drinks are the cherry on top. Perfect place to chill solo or with friends and family!”
“We went around 3:30 pm on a Wednesday. There was no one there so there was no wait. Our server was very nice and attentive. The time limit and fee for not eating what you order is par for the course for ayce kbbq so I don't know why people are complaining about that. The sides and meat (we only had beef) were good. Nothing amazing, but it's nice to have ayce kbbq closer to home than Santa Maria. The galbi and bulgogi were a bit sweet and the brisket came in a lump instead of separated rolls like most places. I've seen others pictures of the grill being flat on the table. Ours was lifted and tilted to allow grease to run out. That resulted in the heat to come around the edges which was pretty intense at times. Overall it was a good time and we will be back but I think Sizzlin Gogi in Santa Maria is still better. We want them to stay and are very happy to have ayce kbbq in the area but there is room for improvement. If you're looking for something new, you should definitely give them a try!”
“Wingstop is its amazing quality and delicious food. They offer a wide variety of mouthwatering wings, perfectly cooked and tossed in an array of signature sauces and dry rubs. From the classic Buffalo and Lemon Pepper to the spicy Mango Habanero, there's a flavor to satisfy every craving. The sides, like the seasoned fries and cheese fries, are also a popular choice, complementing the star of the show – the wings – impeccably. It's a go-to spot for anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal.”
“Great food with an easy atmosphere!”
