“Compadres Chicken is an absolute gem! My coworker and I go there on our lunch break all the time, and we’re totally hooked on their chicken quesadillas. Hands down, the best chicken I’ve ever had—the flavor is incredible, and it’s always so juicy and tender.

The salsas pack a punch, too! Even the mild salsa brings some serious heat (my nose is always running!), but honestly, it’s so worth it. The spice just adds to the whole experience.

We had riesling, beer, spicy chicken wings, garlic noodles, and the yummiest over baked and glazed brussels sprouts. Oggi's has an extensive casual menu of fresh salads, specialty pizzas, burgers and gluten-free, healthy options that pair perfectly with craft beer and cocktails. The garlic knots bread appetizer is so YUM! Definitely order the larger portion size. I like the option of ordering Half or Full portion size for most dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. “The food atmosphere and everything about this place was pretty darn good it was an evening dinner with three of us. One caveat to this place is there was no one outside so we didn't valet because there were no valet people and we had elderly people in our party we just parked in the parking Atleast there wasn't a charge for it...we just walked over after parking across the way but there is no one giving directions out front. The other thing was the food was great but it was very small as it is with most fancy restaurants .. so when it said it's on a bed of rice or a bed of spinach it was actually very tiny with little tiny cut up spinach within the rice. It was very Gourmet and very good but it's suffered from the small plate syndrome. The cooking was fabulous and also the wait staff is fabulous and the greeters once you're inside are fabulous and the atmosphere is fabulous and the lighting is perfect and there was live music and I would give it a 4.5 stars or 4.7 stars but I think you need to have some outside directions or valet or somebody outside to tell people where to park because that was confusing and maybe add a little tiny bit more to your plates and you'll be a five star!!“

“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“

The dilemma when traveling to Encinitas, CA and dining at the Cottage.

Their breakfast selection is complete no need to go elsewhere.

To “Machaca Birria” or to “Braised Beef Hash” both are equally delicious.

But the real reason I’m here is really for their freshly baked scones and their to die for raspberry jam.

Whatever you order at this little hidden gem inside Encinita Village shopping center, you can’t go wrong.

Make sure you ask for Abraham, he will take good care of you and all your guest.

“Love this place for breakfast. Everytime we come to carlsbad we have to stop here for the lemon ricotta pancakes with homemade lemon blueberry jam. Its the Best I've had. Love the staff and manager

“What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site.

There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too.
You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door.

You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

Parking: There are two small parking lots and plenty of street parking.“
