“What a peaceful and beautiful place! I went early around 7:30am and got myself a crunch A Latte and Chilaquiles. Both were sOOO good! The barista is a sweetheart! I didn’t feel rushed while I was looking at the Menu since it was my first time (Definitely not last!) that coffee woke me up! I love that they have outdoor seating.“

Apple pie Muffin: 7/10 - exactly what you’d expect. More muffin than apple though! Very moist though! Not dry.

Coffee cake: 10/10 - If you like sweet coffee.. get it! Not dry at all!

Caramel macchiato: ice: 5/10- it’s okay. It was more watered down for some reason.

Vanilla latte: 7/10 - it’s what you’d expect!

They ran out of whole milk so we substitute it for almond milk.

Price: it’s high but I come once a year so I still come!

Interior: it has seating and could get crowded! Theres lots of seating outside!“

“I got the Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea and Osmanthus Jelly as the topping and it was soo good. Slightly less fragrant than Chagee, but they make up for it with the topping. Really good and I'd come back. The manager though could be friendlier.“

“This place and never went in until a couple days ago and I got the rancheros sunny side up. The flavors were really good. I thought it was a little bit too white sauce the tortillas all the flavor was delicious. The staff was exceptionally attentive and I was just taking out. They gave me a lot of attention, which is pretty nice. Don’t see that anymore. We got a cup of coffee, which is really good and took it home far away for breakfastmaybe share with your friends.“

“The Freshwater Pavilion is a wonderful addition to the Huntington Chinese Garden. The small tea house sells an assortment of Asian snacks, drinks, teas, boba, and grab-and-go food. Its location offers plenty of outdoor seating next to the garden's beautiful lake, with a view of the Suzhou-style pavilions on either side. It's the perfect place to enjoy the gardens while having a quick sip of Milk Tea.“

“Chapresso is a tiny boba tea shop in San Marino. They have breadth selection of fruit teas and milk tea boba. And it is the only tea shop in this upper middle class city. I came to grab a hot Jasmine Pekoe Green tea which is a high-quality tea leaves , often younger leaves with fine hair (pekoe). Its flavor was smooth, mellow, slightly sweet, with fresh fruity undertones.

Prices were fair. Staff and service were cordial and on spot, respectively. Indoor and outdoor seats were very limited.

Overall, I liked my tea at Chapresso. I highly recommend them.“

“This was literally my first time trying matcha, and I actually really liked it. I was told it’s usually not sweet, so I asked for extra sweetener on top of the sweet version. The flavor was a bit strong, but the added sweetness made it much more enjoyable. Would def try it again!

We went around noon on a weekday and it was packed. Parking is definitely a hassle here.“

“A cozy café with a Korean vibe. I had been following posts about its opening on a thread, so I felt a sense of familiarity with it. The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. “One of the best coffee spots in Pasadena! Love coming here to get my caffeine fix in. I've tried most of the menu and you honestly can't go wrong picking any drink. They offer hot and iced coffee as well as matcha and a few pastries. The owners are extremely kind people who clearly love what they do and it shows. They also give back to the community which speaks volumes. I cannot recommend this cute little coffee truck enough.“

“I ordered an open face MCB on gluten free everything bagel with vegan cream cheese which was delicious. My husband ordered a white fish salad bagel on an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese which he enjoyed. We also ordered a generous side of pickles. The coffee was solid too. The interior is well designed and the booths offer cozy, private seating.“

Actually got to speak with the owner for a bit. It's a Salvadorian family owned & operated business and they own their own coffee fields in El Salvador. “Slightly expensive, but amazing coffee! We got the mascarpone to share, and it was incredible! The foam was super flavorful, but not too sweet, and had chocolate bits on top?

Definitely would come back if in the area. My friend that loves coffee got us these beans last year as a gift and they were also very delicious.“

“Walked into the café 15 minutes to closing time not sure if they would take us in, but they were very kind to us and didn’t rush us and we had excellent service. I really like how you order at the counter many great options on the menu. As a Mexican American, I appreciate well-made Mexican food. I had the enchiladas Oaxaqueña and the taquitos Dorados and both were excellent. They do very well on their presentation as well. Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Prices are a little on the high end but overall, I think it’s worth it. My only critiques, and they have nothing to do with the food, would be to not make it so cold inside the restaurant and it would be great if the bathroom had a normal sink without the push button kind, ideally one that is sensor operated. These things are totally peripheral and are not influencing my overall view of the café, but if by chance anyone who manages the restaurant is reading this, maybe they can help improve the overall experience.“

Jeffrey assisted us and was very welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable.

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot.The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good,and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

I've had their regular oat milk matcha latte and their strawberry matcha latte and both had a rich flabor and a great foamy texture since it's made right in front of you. “Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“Mas Cafecito has delicious unique coffee flavored drinks. The only thing I was surprised about is that they don't sell regular unsweetened black coffee! How does a coffee place not sell regular black coffee?“

“Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

“lovely korean cafe with delicious drinks and food!! they have free wifi as well as clean bathrooms. the atmosphere is amazing, there is the indoor section and an outdoor section (which is covered) and it feels magical. the staff were very friendly as well and the food and drinks came out within a few minutes. they also have some gifts you can buy. i had the strawberry axe and the korean corn dog, and both were amazing!! it’s also a perfect place to study, as there is plenty of seating!“

“Dulce Cielo in Monrovia is something special. This is my wife’s absolute favorite chai...and trust me, that means something. She drinks only chai and has sampled pretty much every chai in Monrovia and beyond. This is 'the one'

I walk a mile round trip every single day just to get it for her. That alone should tell you a lot.

So what makes Dulce Cielo different? Everything. Their chai isn’t some powdered mix scooped from a container and drowned in hot milk. It’s completely handmade by the owners themselves. This is a carefully tested work of art. The flavors are deliberate, balanced, and thoughtful. You can taste the care, time, and intention in every sip.

Beyond the chai, the creativity here is incredible. I’ve tried several of their other drinks and every one has been amazing...especially the horchata and coffee blend, which is next-level good. A friend of ours once mentioned a specific chocolate she loved, and the owners literally went out and sourced it just for her. That’s the kind of place this is.

And don’t even get me started on the cupcakes and pastries. Inventive, beautiful, and mind-blowingly creative. Nothing feels mass-produced. Everything feels loved.
