Now many people have food to go. Wide variety of options to choose from. I had teriyaki chicken with shrimp . The lady who was there is very friendly and my order came out very fast the price is super reasonable for the size of the meal and most importantly it was really tasty. Definitely have to go again if I'm nearby.“

“The price of a 2 entree plate with mein noodles and or fried rice is about 12$ this April 2025 and a soup can run for about the same but you can get the bowls which you can ask for 2 entrees will be 8$. This picture has mushrooms chicken in a mild brown sauce with carrots and squash zucchini. A quart eaten. And pink charsiu pork BBQ. Half eaten. It's one of the most dependably good feelings you can get in San Pedro. Comfort Chinese food at Louie's Number 2 Chinese Restaurant. Number 1 is in Wilmington.“

“I walked in for the first time wandering about the reception as I don’t really eat fast food and it was late in the attention but all employees were smiling at me like they knew that I needed a lift. Then the manager was called to help with my gift card at the casher and he had a large smile that put me at ease and he helped me ordering and I was convinced to go back again.

“Definitely coming back. It's hard to find a spot that makes good sizzling rice soup. This place had a really good broth and the soup was nice and hot (not spicy). Some place will serve you a warm to lukewarm soup, or have a bland broth. This was good. The salt & pepper shrimp was amazing. The chow fun was really good. There are actual flavor in their chow fun noodles. We also ordered one more thing that tasted like orange chicken but the flavor was way better. Also, the sweetness of the chicken was not overwhelming or too sweet at all. It was perfect.

After we received our sizzling rice soup, we didn't get the rest of our order until much later. We can tell that they forgot our order. It was understandable since they received 7 huge to-go orders in between our order. I really wanted to give the place five stars for service but that it usually a deal breaker if the food was terrible. Luckily the flavor and aroma saved the meal experience.

Place is definitely old but I like the hole in the wall look. Not the cleanest looking spot but definitely doesn't bother me. I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items.“

“just ordered food from China Gourmet in Signal Hill, Ca.. upon entering the restaurant a young man greeted me with a hello. He was pleasent and welcoming. He took my order of mushroom chicken, mixed vegetables and rice with a two order combo. I had BBQ pork, half and half and jalapeño chicken, with two drinks. Returned home and started to dive in! WOW IT WAS AMAZING! The pork was cooked just right, the chicken was extremely delicious and chow mein was actual chow mein and not Top Ramen noodles substitute. my friend who ordered the mushroom chicken and vegetables couldn't stop eating. I've been to numerous fast Chinese food places and none of them have been as good as this place with the quality of food and the amount given. the price was moderate in today's society of price gouging it was $27 and well worth it. if you enjoy Chinese food and really want to get a bang for your buck as well as and enjoyment of flavors in your mouth go to China Gourmet!“

Everything was authentic choosing reminded me of Hong Kong, fish was on par with china and the lotus root was reminiscent to my childhood.“

“I had such a great experience at Hong Kong Express Chinese Restaurant! The food is absolutely packed with flavor — I tried the delicious orange chicken, the unique and spicy teriyaki chicken, and the tasty kung pao chicken. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are incredibly generous for the price — they really fill up the to-go boxes, so you definitely get your money’s worth. “I didn't actually dine this time. I went to reserve space for the weekend for my ladies social club. We HAVE eaten here many times. It's one of our favorite spots! The food is plentiful, the service is good and the staff is very accommodating. For the amount of food they provide, the prices are EXCELLENT! You get such a large amount of deliciousness for the simple, singular prices. LOVE the food quality and quantity! If you haven't already, you should give it a try. “Best steam table Chinese I've ever had. The only lady behind the counter was efficient with the line that was in there.

Bbq pork was tender and delicious, grab some hot mustard. The orange chicken is something we don't usually order but was great here, still crunchy. Egg foo young was made fresh to order and surprisingly wonderful, airy and the best use of water chestnuts I've seen. The lady even chopped it up for us with a huge cleaver so it was easier to eat. The fried rice has chunks of bbq pork and egg and the chow mein had chicken and egg. They have both Sriracha and chili oil. It was enough food for two plus leftovers

It's been open for forty years and is inside a cute, kitchy building. Parking lot is tiny and one way, enter from KFC around the corner“

Let’s try it” got the shrimp fried rice and the lunch special of orange chicken. The sfr was dank! Wont compare it to the other but honestly I was impressed. My wife said the orange chicken was ok and that the chicken was hard. I tried it I loved the sauce and the fried rice…well I had just tried it so no difference. I told her that I kinda saw that coming from the chicken bc of the big menu that they have so that is the only negative but I will definitely mess with this place again! I have been to many Northern Cafes and have been looking forward to this one. I noticed most of the reviews were about dumplings and realized this one is more specialized for dumplings (boiled, pan-fried and steamed XLB varieties.

I was hoping for the noodle specialties like the one in Gardena (which is my favorite in the region, 10 min more drive for me).

We ordered:
- crab dumplings- steamed, XLB style, it was pretty good
- lamb dumplings- pan fried, it was ok, a little oily
- beef noodle soup- it was ok, they only served with thin noodles, we preferred other handmade varieties at the Gardena store

We also ordered the beef rolls to go, it looked exact like the ones shown on the poster, ha ha.

Overall, pretty good if you are hungry dumplings!“

“After hearing so many locals online talk about this place I had to try it out. I was only ordering for myself but intended on having leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I was suggested to try their special for two for $25.99 which includes 2 fried and/or white rice, 2 entrees, soup and 2 egg rolls (I opted for no soup and 4 egg rolls). The order is made to order so it's not sitting under a heat lamp. Service was great and the cashier/cook was very nice. I had the garlic shrimp and kung pao chicken and the portions are very generous.
Inside is very spacious with plenty of seating.
Next time I'm craving some fresh Chinese food with nice portions at a great price I'll definitely be back since it's down the street from me.

The owner lady is very nice too. I have used their catering service as well to host parties. The trays were scraped clean after an hour or so. Ordered fried rice with chicken with a taro milk tea drink on the side.Bruh ??? my mind was in total shock at how ? it was!!The fried rice was JUST warm enough to enjoy while not too hot as to burn my tongue off. And the flavor was absolutely savory, usually fried rice is lacking in flavor but this one i could probably eat as a meal of itself.The rice was topped with chicken cutlet. The breading on it was cooked so fantastically crispy that it created a nice contrast with the delicately flavorful rice.The chicken was notably lacking in sodium, which is phenomenal because usually fried chicken cutlets of this magnitude tend to over salt causing a flavor overload.This chicken was clearly marinaded in a whole garden of herbs then breaded and fried to perfection creating an incredibly savory and crispy chicken cutlet. A perfect topping for the fried rice.And, as a digestif, the taro milk tea was nothing short of satisfaction. A cold, milky, taro tea. The orange chicken is super fire delicious, has a different taste to it, and normally what I grab along with some of the chow mein. Also delicious, not greasy and has a great taste to it as well. “Panda Express is one of the most reasonably priced chain restaurants with fabulous nutritious and delicious food. My only issue was that the wok fried shrimp was a little too spicy for me. I note that I really have very little tolerance to hot spicy dishes. I would have liked some warning that the wok fried shrimp had chili in it. We had the chicken and broccoli and it was plentiful and flavorful. The noodles and steamed rice (1/2 and 1/2 plate) were standard and good. The French fries, while frozen crinkle cut fries were salty and delicious. Make sure to ask for them extra crispy.
