“Had a panucho for the first time. Huge pile of chicken on a nice crispy fried tortilla covered in black beans. Great hot vinegar salsa and picked onions to go with it.
It seems like they had to take down their dining area and shade structure. I wonder why, that was quite nice.“

“Seriously, best burrito in North Marin. Repeating this post because 1) Facebook asked me to write a formal review and 2) it's too empty when I've gone and I want people to keep them in business!“

“🇲🇽 I must leave ★★★★★ for my friends at Puentez Taqueria. Parking is difficult however there is overflow parking behind the Taqueria. The food is served quickly but expect lines around lunchtime. I captured this photo near the rear employee-entrance which has a great view of the San Rafael canal. Can't recommend this place enough!“

“Glad to have found this restaurant. Since moving to San Rafael, I’ve been missing and looking for authentic Mexican food. The other Mexican restaurants I’ve tried in San Rafael don’t compare to this restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Clean interior with cheerful decoration and atmosphere. Finally, the food is well seasoned and flavorful. Definitely hits the spot!“

“I lived close by and dropped in one day to check out the eats. The Chile Colorado peaked my interest, and it was like "Heaven"! . So pretty much every time since, the friendly staff would remember me and my passion for it. They'd see me walk in the door and instantly know... Chile Colorado! :) ( pro tip- while you wait, walk over to the painfully slow Safeway next door , buy Jardine's ghost pepper salsa and add a generous portion on top)“

“The food was served Hot and Fresh and the serving was very generous! I ordered the Steak and Nopal and my girlfriend ordered the Tacos Birria. We chose to eat outside and they had Vicente Fernandez playing on the speaker, We both rate it 5 stars! Gracias ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Had a deliciously flavorful dinner on the patio with my husband and 8 month old son on a Sunday evening. Immediately we were greated by friendly staff and seated outside. We used a highchair that was available which was appreciated since we wanted to have a meal all together with our 8 month old son. The service was amazing we got chips and salsa with our menus. I got a vegetarian tostada and my husband got cheese enchiladas. It was like magic how quick we got our meals. Everything was so delicious and my son finally got to sit and participate in our meal rather than watch us eat/hide what we are eating now that he's so interested in food! We gave him his first litte plate of refried beans, rice, and tastes of toppings. He was happy as a clam and slept better than he's ever slept before. Our server was interactive and kind with our little guy and being a mom that's a bonus when choosing a place to eat out. It was reasonably priced for how good the food is. We look forward to making this a new regular family dinner spot.“

“I absolutely love Picante. I visit this establishment at least twice a week. I'm normally a 100% carne asada guy, but Picante's chicken is out of this world and has me constantly re-thinking my burrito meat choices. Super chicken burrito with no rice is my go to order. Staff is super friendly and always attentive. Do not skip the orange habanero salsa, it is life changing!“

“After dropping off the Winghavers Barleyhoot to Gilligan Wormwood out at his ranch, the Wicked Minnow, I headed straight to the Taqueria Mi Familia for one of their famously amazing quesadillas!
Simple yet complex in flavors, the ingredients meld together perfectly.
5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Been eating at Celia's for over 30 years. It's been a few years, but went there recently and it was still awesome. The food has never changed, simple but delicious. And one thing the staff has worked there forever, they are friendly and always welcoming. 😁😋“

“This place has been a community bedrock for 20+ years. Always here for us. During covid lock downs, they set up their own food pantry (with the fridge getting electricity from the shop).
Churros are always a hit. Good coffee.
Come and enjoy.“

“I came here because the San Francisco Chronicle listed it as one of the best 10 tamales in the bay area. I was not disappointed. It’s not traditional corn masa tamales from Mexico, but rather rice or potato masa tamales. The sauces are wonderful the meat is tender, and the tamales melt in your mouth. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful in helping me make my choices. I bought six different tamales to take home. I’ll be back.“

“The wet donkeys are their specialty, the seasoning is something that makes you come back August 2/24 I returned out of melancholy and desire or I am far from reality but I was surprised at the price of a regular donkey and a drink 19.70 without a receipt I feel the price is exaggerated“

“I came with my family here, very clean place, clean restroom, clean everything, good food. Fast service, but please ladies from the front (customer service) smile, you take care of the customer like robots, next, thank you , next, thank you next. I was looking at every single person that was receiving their orders to make sure that chips are given to some odres or to every order. We order two burritos, one pupusa and twelve tacos. We did not received chips at all. I saw people that purchase tacos , receiving their chips, this wasn’t my case. No one gave us our chips😟“
