“I almost didn’t want to share my review because I don’t want this place to get super packed lol. But this is the only place with the best and delicious happy hour special within the bishop center. Trust me, all the other ones are way over priced even for their “happy hour” prices. I only come here for drinks so I can’t review the food. I highly recommend the golden state margarita and the ambikas grove! Ps happy hour is from 4-6. You’re welcome “

“We had another wonderful experience dining here. The food was absolutely delicious, just as it always is, and the atmosphere made for a great time. A special shout‑out to Siew, who consistently takes such great care of me and my family whenever we visit. I was especially happy to see she’d be assisting us again when we came in for a business lunch. Her attentiveness and kindness truly elevate the whole experience. Restaurants are lucky to have staff like her. Highly recommend!“

“From the outside it looks like a dive. I love a good dive. But one step inside and your olfactory nerves transport you to Vegas. Maybe the Cosmo, maybe the Venetian. Either way it’s amazing. Then the smell of grilled hot dogs, it must be Slots of Fun… next order whiskey and they have my absolute favorite: Writer’s Tears. Come visit Nicole.

“It’s very rare I leave a review for a bar. If ever. But this one is well deserved.

I was staying up the street and had a long couple days, so wanted a chill place to have a drink.

I stumbled upon a fantastic local watering hole, where you can tell the same folks come here, and for good reason. Good ambience, a few bar games, a digital jukebox, reasonable drink prices… but the service is where this place really hooked me.

(Forgive the spelling) Saren was my bartender and made me feel at home. As a career bartender, I can be somewhat hyper-critical of service from a fellow tender. She not only takes the time to talk to you individually, but immediately turns on the fast-paced service when the bar inevitably picks up when the place across the street lets out from an event.

I recommend this bar to anyone whether a group or individuals. There’s enough to do, people to talk to, and the service is second to none. I’ll be sure to book my next stay in the Bay close to here on purpose moving forward.“

“Planned a “Girls Trip” to San Francisco and arriving late in the evening. I knew we’d be hungry and wasn’t sure what would be open and didn’t want fast food. So I pre ordered their “To Go Box” Raquel was absolutely helpful and professional when corresponding to my inquiries. Had it delivered directly to the hotel and it was waiting at the front desk (refrigerated in the back) when we arrived. The hotel staff said this was the best and most beautiful charcuterie box she has ever seen! Oh how we enjoyed it once we were up in our room! Highly recommend and would definitely order from them again when in town!“

“This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I were visiting Danville today and stopped by this restaurant for dinner. The menu is delightful & the meal was delicious. This is a family owned business, and the owner spent much time traveling and working in hospitality overseas in a variety of different places,. The menu really highlights his comfort, creativity, and expertise in different cuisines. There were so many unique items to choose from, and one of the things I loved was that they had many gluten-free options clearly labeled on the menu. I highly recommend checking it out!“

“My family and I were celebrating my 69th birthday prior to attending the Lesher theater on Friday, December 12th. When I made the reservation, the only option was to sit outside. It was very chilly that night so we opted to eat at the bar instead. Lupita, the hostess, and staff went out of their way to put 2 tables together so we could eat indoors and all at one table.
In addition to the lovely staff, the food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. Many thanks to everyone for making my birthday dinner feel special.“

“A few nice touches we noticed... didn't realize downtown would be so busy, really busy, but we were greeted pretty quickly and shown to our dinner table. Seating was warm and comfy on a chilly night. The server brought water with a back up bottle, which we love. The menu was not huge, but has a nice assortment of items, small & larger plates with a small, but thoughtful wine list and a full bar. Farhaad, the manager served us and was upbeat friendly and outgoing, we could tell he has hands on experience. The food was quite good, not overly huge portions but that left room for dessert! Very good selections. We ordered decaf which came piping hot and in a good size coffee cup, great flavor. The ambiance was quite nice, old black & white movies playing on the muted tv behind the bar, nice genre of dinner music playing, nothing loud and crazy, more relaxing and current. Nice decor, mid tones to light. There's a nice looking outdoor patio as well, but it was very chilly so we stayed inside. Looking forward to returning and adding Aracely into our restaurant rotation. Pleasantly surprised!“

“The food was delicious and quick to arrive. Service was okay. It wasn't very busy and the waiter didn't check in on us often so we would have to flag someone down for water refills. The busser was clearing the table as we were sitting there and would reach his hand out to each person waiting for us to hand him our dishes.“

“OMG. I’m a sushi lover and this is my new favorite lunch spot. Happened to be in the area for lunch, which just happens to be their happy hour! We ordered one of everything on the happy hour menu and were BLOWN AWAY. Soooo good, we ordered 2nds of most of the items. Floored how good the oyster mushroom tempura on their HH menu is. Like. Chef’s kiss! All of the fish items in HH were top shelf. So good, we ended up ordering multiples. Staff was so helpful and happy. Can’t wait to come back.“

The food was very good, although the steak skewers and crab cakes were only moderately warm upon arrival. Sea bass was excellent; but definitely could have been bigger for the price point. Oysters were on point and excellent as well. Amazing service by the waiter as well as well as the hostess. The birthday card and complimentary dessert were a nice touch. Upscale, trendy interior. Tucked away in a parking lot off of the main street. Turn down sos drive and left into the parking lot halfway down the hill, and you'll find it.“

Stick with anything canned or be around tap unless you want to just do shots. I would be happy to pay a couple more bucks for an actual craft cocktail made with quality made by a mixologist. Besides that, the customer service is awesome, the rules and regs are more than understandable, and when they bring in live music you're into, it's a really good time. Overall it's a great place, just stay away from the cocktails... Unless you're a Jack and Coke kind of person, then I will not be having cocktails with you regardless lol.
