“I'd agree that this place pretty much is a solid 4 star. Service is number to table and almost every time hasn't really been anything over par. It's pretty much.... Regular can I take your order, ok, take a seat and wait. The food is hit and miss.Breakfast egg sandwich: 4.5/10 great amount of protein (egg) and fat (avocado) bread is bomb but like almost too crunchy painful to eat lol. But i love it. The only thing saving this Sammy was the sweet pepper chili sauce flavor they put on it otherwise it's bland as hell.Breakfast burrito... don't even know what the heck was inside... def needed to eat it with salsa.. not amazing...3/5Waffles... pretty bomb 5/5Coffee... meh.... Very burnt flavor for me 3.5/5 Hot chocolate 5/5 for my family. I'll be back. The light fixtures are very expensive high end beautiful lights... not just any string lights... they are gorgeous and provide a very beautiful ambiance for the outside where 95% of the seating is located. It's got a back yard patio vibe. Love it. Come here often and will continue.“
“Great dive bar. Has music on Friday nights. Saturdays too maybe? It's very popular with 20s & 30s crowds, but older folks frequent it as well. It gets going on the weekends and has a great patio. One of the best dive bars around. Only problem is there are not other dive bars around, so if you're in the mood to bar hop, maybe not the best option.“
“Came here for drinks and appetizers. Amazing crispy catfish salad (so bright, balanced, savory, herbaceous) and the mak grut (keffir lime leaf) cocktail was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted—complex, fragrant, refreshing and just delicious. As a person with Thai ancestry who is picky about his Thai food, I definitely recommend this place for a creative spin on Thai food that still respects the proper balance of flavor, at very least based on the two things I tasted!Great service and atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to come back and have a full meal.“
“The food was 10/10, everything we ordered was excellent, and was brought to us by the chef himself, who was gregarious and kind. Service was impeccable, our waiter was available but in no way intrusive. Ambience was on point and unique. Will definitely be returning to Bardo!“
“We kind of ended up here on a fluke and with empty stomachs. We weren't into the experience just wanted the food. Our server, Toni, was accommodating about all of our reasonable ( and less reasonable) requests. We sat in a corner quite close to our neighbors but it wasn't too bad. The sound quality in their space makes it so you don't get bombarded but a lot of loud clanging. It's pretty upscale and the food is Michelin level amazing but also has a chill vibe.Goes without saying, we will certainly be back.Vegetarian options: The veggie options are just as amazing as the non. They are also good about accommodating veggie diets in any part of the menu.We got the peshe- Chilean Sea Bass which was so on point. As we are pescaterian“
“Love love love this restaurant! We've been dining here for years! Very good selection of dishes. The chef always has a smile on his face and greets you at your table. The pastas are really good and the octopus are cooked perfectly! Pizzas that taste like how their made in Italy. Save room for dessert, the tiramisu is really good!“
“Great food, a bit on the expensive side but ok with us. Great service and very friendly staff. Restaurant is loud and noisy, we couldn't hear each other conversation on the same table without yelling. I am gonna hold off making any cozy dinner rsvp with fiends until this get fixed. Looking forward to it. Really love the food.“
“I'm obsessed with Mother Tongue coffee beans, been buying them from Seattle Coffee Gear at Stanford. I also found them at the SF Coffee Festival last year. I finally went to their cafe in Oakland and it was interesting, it is more of a bar than a coffee shop. Maybe this is a happening bar after work? The decorations are random and nothing like I was expecting (streamers everywhere, Cartoon Network projected on wall, and current hits playing over the loud speaker). They do have a seating area outside too. They don't have a menu/drink board. I happen to look up their menu online before we arrived but didn't realize the paper menus were near their payment system till afterwards. Because of this, we forgot they even served food other than pastries-we probably would have purchased. We had a latte, coffee tonic, apple fritter, and we bought two bags of beans. Everything was delicious and we would go again.“
“Our first time here and a great experience! Food was fabulous and very nice environment and friendly staff! Food tasted very fresh, especially the noodles! Surprised it wasn’t that busy on a Saturday lunch time, but hopefully the word of the mouth gets around fast and more people get to experience this place. Good luck!“
“A pizza is not just a pizza at this restaurant. It's very different and very good. They call it a pinsa... cloud like pizza. Their description is accurate. It's crispy outside and soft inside... and delicious. We ordered 2 pinsas. One has the same name as the restaurant and was soooooo good, very tasty. We enjoyed both. Their octopus appetizer was one of the best I've ever eaten. Simple preparation that allowed the quality ingredients to shine. The octopus was fresh and tender... not chewy. My spouse loved the grilled exterior of the octopus. I was sorry we did not order 2 of them. Salome our server was wonderful. Her suggestions about the food and wine were spot on. Her only mistake was not suggesting that I order my own octopus appetizer... Still we hope she is our server when we return. Our next time will be for dinner in order to enjoy their full menu.“
“I had to turn "the page" to 3411. The cooks outside are good with the amazing fish tacos ? on Tuesdays along with other great appetizers that go excellent with cocktails or cold beer. Lil smooth the dj has just about every song you can sing. Family, food, fun and entertainment.“
“Service was outstanding! The hostess was attentive, but what stood out most was her sincerity. She ensured my comfort while I waited for others to arrive. From the items we ordered, our favorites are as follows:cocktail- Basil Gimletfood- Doughnuts with chocolate sauceI would recommend this place to others and I am sure I will revisit with friends.“
“It's a full bar and restaurant with serving brunch too. Has indoor and limited outdoor seatings. Inside is well decorated and clean. Tables are large and overall roomy place.Waiters are responsive and polite.Great for group, events, meetup, kids and accessible. Prices are reasonable wrt food quality. Will come back again.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to enter and room to easily maneuver“
“Ok so first, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, AMAZING, TERRIFIC, and so much more. Second, once you have ordered your food it will come in 15 or less minutes! Third, once you come into the restaurant, (you may have to wait in a line) the hostess will ask you for your name and phone number, if you want to be seated outside or inside, and how long the wait time is (about 20 minutes). Lastly, you should definitely consider coming to Jack's if you're feeling hungry! (They serve breakfast until 2:00pm and lunch all day.) PS you HAVE to try the Mac and cheese!Vegetarian options: You could get the omelet (which is very good) if you are looking for something that is for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: The hostess would ask you if you want a kid(s) menus. Plenty of options on the kids menu.“
“This is my all time favorite restaurant. I've been coming to the Casa since I was 21 years old, im 70ish now. Food is always great, never a bad one. Try to get there at lease once a week. The hostess are so wonderful, call you by name. All around the best!“
“This was my first time to this restaurant, but I was not disappointed. I have significant food allergies, but I was able to make slight adjustments without any problem, and without any annoyance by our waitress. I had the beet salad and the deviled eggs, and both were delicious. I thought the pricing was fair and a good value for what was served. My salad proportion wise was very large. I would definitely go back if I am in the area.“
“The restaurant is tucked just off the main downtown area. Relaxed open dining environment. Service was quick and attentive. I had the burger with side salad and crème brûlée for desert. Burger was cooked to order and the salad was a nice spring salad with candied pecans, feta cheese, and a simple vinaigrette. The crème brûlée was tasty but a little less crisp on top than would have been ideal. Overall a good place to grab a bite of comfort food.“
“First time eating here and dining w repeat customers. Whom I’d just met today! Convenient location. Spacious restroom was also clean and functional. Lighting was dim, service was good and also speedy. Food was excellent. I ordered the coconut curry vegetables and brown rice. It was filling! Drank water which was served in tall glass flasks. The serves kept the hydration going by always bringing water when we ran out. The prices were very reasonable. My meal was $17.00. I added $3.00 tip over 20% service was courteous and attentive. The dishes were bused throughout the meal which I loved because I hate to see my empty dishes when I’m done eating. I had a wonderful time.“
“Friday night was busy. We had a reservation for 8:30 however it took a while for the previous party to leave. The food was amazing. Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fennel salad. The pizzas were perfect - even though we were thinking broccoli pizza may not be to everyone's liking, we all enjoyed it. The pear bourbon and pecan dessert also hit its mark.“
“Pretty good restaurant in Walnut Creek for some classic Italian dishes. The dining space is clean and gives more of an open family feeling to the place. They do also have a nice bar by the front that is kind of separated from the rest of the dining area. The drinks are a little hit or miss here, though. They do skimp on thr alcohol a little bit here, so make sure you order a more liquor-heavy drink or stick with their selection of wines. The food is great and really delicious. There was nothing that our table did not enjoy eating. They do have changing specials, and I highly recommend trying them. The desserts were also very good. Make sure to try their tiramisu since they do give a good portion of it. Overall a great place to take a date or the family.Dietary restrictions: They are able to serve gluten-free pasta upon request.Parking: There are plenty of parking garages if you want to spend money. Not that much free street parking around, though.Kid-friendliness: Good place to take kids for a nice meal with the family.“
“Very pretty drinks, the taste was ok but not exceptional. The appetizers were good, though I wouldn't order the pork chop again. I'm assuming it was ok, but the texture seemed off and I kept worrying it wasn't well done enough.“
“We've been to Wisegirl twice and had great food both times. We sit in their open "alcove" next to the actual restaurant, which works great for us -- with one exception. Both times, when our food came, we still had no table settings. We had to wait, and in one visit, had to ask twice. They need to bring table settings when they seat you or take your order.“
“My friend and I visited Addis Ethiopian Restaurant on Friday, 2/9/24, for an early dinner. We decided to order the Kategna as the appetizer. It was crispy and delicious. For the main course, we got the Meat Combination Platter for Two. It came with 3 Ethiopian meat specialties such as the Doro Wot, Sega Wot, and Sega Alicha along with Injera, Ayib, Boiled Eggs, and a mini Salad. All of the meats were beyond flavorful and bold in taste. My friend and I finished the entire platter feeling full and satisfied. For the drink, I had a glass of Ethiopian Honey Wine. It was sweet and I enjoyed it very much. Everyone inside the restaurant was pleasant. The customer service was attentive and lovely. The indoor ambiance was decorated nicely with flowers and candles at each table. Overall, Addis Ethiopian Restaurant is a great spot to satisfy Ethiopian food cravings. I recommend coming here.“
“Wow, this bar felt quite hidden away from the world behind gray doors despite being on a busy commercial stretch of Lakeshore. There was a cat sign, but Jamie W. and I kept missing it as we strolled back and forth just before it opened at 4PM. When we finally entered, it was a stylish space but overly so with vintage accents producing the requisite chill atmosphere. Let me be honest though. We came for the craft cocktails we saw on their website, and Keenan was the cool bartender who was there to make them for us. I tried the $14 Dear Irene, a blended Pina Colada riff with gin, coconut, ginger, mint, cane, and lime. A lovely libation. Jamie had the $14 Blue Meanie which had a more tantalizing tropical taste. It had a nice kick consisting of eight-year-old Haitian & Banana Rum, Giffard Coconut, lime, and blue curaçao (photo: So satisfying that we had another round. I went with the $14 E&E, a vibrant mix of tequila, mezcal, lime, cilantro, pineapple, and jalapeño over rocks. It was like a short margarita. Jamie tried the $14 Mata Hari, which sounds more mysterious than it was. It left out tequila and mixed mezcal, amaro nardini, lime, and tamarind syrup into a saucy, south-of-the-border libation (photo: While Dear Irene was the definitive standout, all the cocktails provided a nice symphony of compatible flavors. Otherwise I was just drunk. Either way, it made for a satisfying visit at this hidden hideaway close to Lake Merritt. COCKTAILS - 4 stars..,well tested libations with the Dear Irene a standout AMBIANCE - 4 stars...stylish, vintage space with a large enough bar at an inconspicuous address SERVICE - 4 stars...Keenan is a very helpful bartender TOTAL - 4 stars...a chill hangout on Lakeshore RELATED - Exploring Oakland? “5 Spiced Kitchen is conveniently located in Montclair and the food is delicious! Our party of six enjoyed our shared entrees which included seafood, beef, potstickers and veggie spring rolls. 5SK has a full bar as well. Prices were a bit high- I'd say $$$ on a scale of 1-4. However, we will go back and enjoy again!“
“This was my first time there and I absolutely loved the food. We sat at the bar on a Friday night for dinner and there was a happy hour until 8:00. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees and put them between the two of us. There was so much food we had to take the leftovers home. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu! I give it ?????“
“Came here with an old friend, we ended up staying for three hours, and we're the last to leave with a large margin. What kept us so long was the great food, the excellent service, and an atmosphere that invites long discussions.Everything on the menu looked so good, and made it hard to pick. I decided to go for scallops on risotto, and finish with a variation on New York Cheesecake. OMG, it was all soooo good. Will be back soon!“

“LOVED this place, just wish it was a little bit more affordable and the seating was spaced apart more. We got 3 different types of empanadas and they were all super yummy, don't sleep on the mushroom one it was AMAZING! We ordered a seafood stew, the pork adobo, fries, and 2 cocktails and everything was very good! We don't usually have Peruvian food though so I can't speak to its authenticity but it sure was delicious! My favorite had to be the seafood stew, there was an abundance of seafood and the sauce is just to die for! Definitely a great date night spot! The only reason this is getting a 4 is because our seat was pretty cramped and we there were ppls chair backs pressed right into our table.“
“Very cute spot with lots of fake flowers embellishing the walls. A perfect place for a girls’ night out or lunch. It even has a photo backdrop for potential photo ops.The food is also not to be slept on. The yellow curry was delicious, with a flavorful spiciness differentiating it from other common Thai spots. It is pricier though, so come with a hungry tummy and a full wallet“
“The owners are the sweetest people in the world and the loved my Lady Blu thank you so much I had a blast and yes Dee Dee Simon is the truth it was so worth the trip to see her and meet you all. A very friendly place that makes really good drinks Tory from Vegas“
“On my way back from snagging the deal of the century on dinner, I thought, 'Why not keep the good times rolling?' So, I swung by the Lemon Drop for an after-dinner cocktail and dessert. I opted for their 'Naughty by Nature' cocktail and paired it with FRESH Point Reyes Oysters. Let's just say, I'll be making more 'research trips' to Lemon Drop for their cocktails and grub! #GRUBLYFE“
“Definitely the best burger in concord. Great fries (I order mine without parsley) and the chocolate shake is perfect. If you order it medium rare, it's perfectly pink. The cowboy burger (think western bacon cheeseburger) is outstanding too. And my grown kids love the pretzel.“
“OH MY GOSH!!! I left my phone in the bathroom here before I went home, and the sweet bouncer found it and kept it safe for me. Also I LOVED the mystery shots and Pineapple Express drink!!! They also had nice heaters outside so you could be comfy while playing darts. It was wonderful.“
“Did not try the food listed location because I was doordashing.. friendly people made me feel welcome and I get a quite few dashes here so I'm guessing the food is great.. a place. I would consider visiting after work for tequila shots..“
“EVERYONE was so kind & welcoming. We bought some art. Yes!! You can buy art displayed on the walls. It was an absolutely magic night!!! Big shout out to Cherry, Peter & Smitty for allowing us to buy some of his art rather late which is now safely home in Brisbane Australia. This is a great place for a beverage or 2. It's well worth a visit!!!“
“Looking for a laid-back spot to kick back, catch the game, or maybe even belt out a tune or two? Look no further than Pho Nation. My hubby and I recently ventured there for a date night, and while it wasn't a culinary revelation, it certainly delivered in terms of atmosphere and vibe. First off, let's talk ambiance. Pho Nation is the kind of place where you can unwind, soak in the energy, and just have a good time. Whether you're cheering on your favorite team or belting out your go-to karaoke jam in the back, there's never a dull moment. The only downside? If you're hoping for an intimate chat, you might find yourself shouting over the music, which can get a tad loud at times. But hey, who needs deep conversation when you've got good food and great company, right? Which brings me to the food. Now, don't get me wrong - it wasn't mind-blowing, but it hit the spot. Think your standard Vietnamese fare - pho, spring rolls, banh mi - nothing to write home about, but tasty enough to satisfy those late-night cravings. Plus, the portions were generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. If you're looking for a fun spot to hang out with friends, catch a game, or unleash your inner karaoke star, Pho Nation is your jam. Just don't expect culinary fireworks - the food is solid but nothing out of the ordinary. Still, with its lively atmosphere and chill vibes, it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day or kick off a late-night adventure with your crew.“
“If you really want to have elevated Mexican food and a good drink or drinks. I would not hesitate to come back to Tzunun. I consider this place to be one of the top, if not the top Mexican restaurant in the bay. And that says a lot about me coming from San Diego. Because most Mexican restaurants here are just ok, I mean just OK. Ok, they are not that good. I'm glad I found this one.“
“A small bar with character. We stopped here on a late Sunday evening originally looking to have dinner not realizing a lot of places close early on Sunday. When we walked in the server informed us they had just shut down the kitchen we were understanding and headed out, we were then found down the street and they asked if we wanted to come back for pizza they would turn the oven back on. Honestly, it’s little things like this that make a business. Just this small gesture was very meaningful and to our surprised the pizzas and cocktails were delicious. To the business owner thank you for caring about your guests and for going above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back soon!“
“This is the first bar I've ever been a regular at. Less than 10 min from my place, right next to Bart, across the street from some great Mexican, with an even better taco truck right in its backyard. Very friendly staff, Oh and most importantly, cheap and delicious drinks!“
“Same location where it was called Pizza Antica before. The location in Google maps is incorrect and actual location is across the side street from the parking lot.Good food, very good and friendly service. Try the mushroom pizza, salmon, or chicken dish. They also have $7 sangria specials starting on Thursdays every week. The ambience is friendly and the decor is minimalist. The portions are big. You can see the impact of inflation in the prices. If you pay using the QR code (sends you to Toast) it includes tax for calculating tip percentages, which is not great. Hopefully they fix it.Vegetarian options: They will customizeKid-friendliness: Small selection of usual kids items“
“Ayo! This spot is litt! The vibes was great. The patrons was cool. And the bartender was all around great! The atmosphere was good energy. Not a place for BS. The drinks was on point. Would definitely return. And trying to return regularly. It's like a Time Machine....like Cheers, I want to go where they know me name! Older and more respectable crowd. The DJ spins music I can jam and vibe out to. Two thumbs up! The food served was unconventional. That's all I'm gonna say.“
“Chris the bartender did an awesome job dealing with 3 drunks who refused to leave at last call and were highly aggressive with him.He was firm yet respectful while they screamed at him (especially the guy) using slurs and accusing him of being misogynistic towards women (as he wouldn't let them get their way). They were making comments as to how they were so much more intelligent than him and putting him down but he stayed calm way beyond where I would have (Love it when people think they're the smartest person around). The guy was getting really physically aggressive (over 5 minutes before 0200Hrs) until I stepped in to stop it (I'm not a small guy). Its a shame we don't require maturity cards in addition to ID cards. Please if you have a superiority complex (believing you are better than everyone else) go somewhere else where they will coddle you like your mommy does. This is a blue collar bar with good salt-of-the-earth people.Karaoke nights are awesome!P.S. Good job Chris.“
“Being in the fishbowl of a back room made it feel slightly like our birthday party was on display to the other patrons, but the food was fantastic, service was prompt, friendly, and went above and beyond for one member of the party with gluten intolerance. Well done!“
“I am happy the drinks were good and the people were friendly and although I was walking home after 7 vodkas and sprites two miles later I arrived home safely- I have met friends of friends here and although it's been over 10+years ago I still reminisce about the past. I know neighbors from across the street visiting have been there frequently and I know striking conversations with them brought attention to me because I knew her friend of a friend! Located in a shopping center near Sorento's“
“We had two happy hour (4-5pm) sweet drinks and prawn skewers. It really feels like I imagine Polynesia to be like. A good place to wear a Hawaiian shirt or dress like Jack Sparrow. We’re weren’t made to mandatory tip like others. Maybe that’s changed.Kid-friendliness: Not for kids. Go to Disneyland“
“I'm so proud that this beautiful family is thriving in my city I call home. I attended a celebration for the life of my cousin but he was more like a brother "Chip" yesterday at this lovely establishment. The owners who are close friends with my cousin Al were in attendance and made sure everything went smoothly. The reason I HAD to write this review was because I thought the food was delicious and everyone seemed to have a great time. You didn't have to ask for anything. Thank you for a great afternoon and experience good luck with your business. I definitely want to do Brunch when I come back into town.“
“HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY to All My Fellow Foodies! I decided to ditch the boring old Corned Beef and kick things up a notch. Verdict? DELICIOUS Sunday Dinner, if I do say so myself! Prosciutto Croquettas for the WIN - Panko-Breaded Fried bechamel with Ground Prosciutto & Garlic Aoli dipping sauce was DIVINE. Spinach and Arugula tossed in Parmesan Cheese and their House Apple Cider vinaigrette made me feel like I was eating healthy (sort of). And let's not forget the 8oz Grilled Flat Iron Steak... drooling just thinking about it! Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes were creamy perfection, Red Wine Demi Glace added that extra oomph, and those Crispy onion Strings brought the whole thing together. CHEERS to an Amazing St Patrick's Day feast! #GRUBLYFE“
“they have so many vegan options! Spicy lemongrass with vegan beef and pork belly is my fave. But really, it's incredible to go to a pho place that has more than one vegan soup ?Also, the servers are always so kind and welcoming, every time I visit.Dietary restrictions: vegan options“
“This was my first time having breakfast at this beautiful Bistro. The staff was courteous and always checking on our table for anything we may need or want. The food was delicious and the ambiance of the Bistro was lovely. We will definitely be going there again.“
