“I had the Seafood Sampler and my wife had the Clam Linguini. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Everything was super tender and fresh tasting. The Shrimp Cocktail was awesome. Also very fresh tasting and not overcooked. Killer cocktail sauce. The Creme Brulee and Lemon cheesecake are to die for.“
“Spent the night in San Simeon and arrived to check in for our hotel at 8:45 pm. Apparently, most places here closes at 9 pm. And sure enough everyone has a closed sign on their window. Saw this place with a few people still inside and decided to pop my head at their door and said "will you please serve us some food". Ha ha ha. I practically begged them and the guy running the place said "I'll take care of you. Come on in". At this point we didn't care what kind of food was left we just wanted to eat. What a great treat that we had some fantastic food. The chicken pesto pasta was nice and creamy. The seafood Cajun pasta had just enough bite in it. Food came out nice and hot and didn't feel or taste like it was rushed. The host and the staff was very accommodating. I truly appreciate the hospitality and thank you so much for feeding a couple of starving travelers.“
“Had a lovely meal here one evening , shared the yummy Greek salad and then had the Mediterranean fish dish, paid the $5 to split this into 2 portions, wow so much food ?We shared a great bottle of ?, good value at $27 for the bottle. Enjoyed it so much we came back the next night.Second time we split the Caesar salad & ordered 2 entrees, very tasty fettuccini but a little over cooked. I had the steak, came with mashed & veggies, very good portions. Split the rose wine , Hearst “Julia” ,very tasty.Had a great waiter- “surfer” Dan? was very energetic & helpful with menu options. Warm rolls with butter were also a nice way to start off. Thanks Cavalier ??“
“I'm surprised by the low reviews of this restaurant .... this place is fantastic! We came here for dinner after an 8 mile long hike in the Big Sur wilderness and were blessed with a fresh, hearty meal. Let's start with the atmosphere! The entire restaurant is covered in glass, so the breathtaking views of ragged point - the foamy ocean waves, the precipitous sea cliffs, the golden bluffs of the Silver Peak Wilderness - hit you from all directions. The service was very good. Our waiter took our order right away and our food was brought out soon after. Saving the best for last ... the food was FIRE! I got the chicken achiote. The chicken was perfectly tender and the risotto was delightfully creamy. My mom got the fish & chips and thought they were delectable. The halibut was extremely juicy and the fries were warm, crispy and not at all greasy! What really impressed us was how fresh our food was. After a long, exhausting hike, our meal at Ragged Point Restaurant was a welcoming and nourishing end to our day. We 100% recommend this restaurant for any occasion!“
“We stayed in Cambria for one night and went to Indigo Moon just next door to our hotel. In two people we shared the lobster bisque and new york steak, don't forget to request their bread! The portions are well served and might be sufficient for two people. We also ordered wine by the glass and got a chocolate tower for dessert. Everything we ordered was great and we paid around $80 for the full meal for two.We arrived at 6pm and there was plenty of seats, however when we left the place was almost full so make sure to arrive early. Not sure if they make reservations.“
“Amazing dining spot in Cambria! Everything was delicious and the service was great. Loved their Olallieberry burger, great combination of sweet jam and savory patty from the nearby hearst ranch beef ??? The rib eye was outstanding, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Ahi tuna was amazing as well, delicious and served with tasty cucumber salad and fresh avocado slices. All their food not only had great quality, but was served in large portions. I definitely recommend this little food gem in Cambria!!!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“Everything was SOOOOO delicious. The food was fresh, healthy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Our favorites were the brussel sprouts (a MUST), the banana pudding, and the sake paloma. They also had so many gluten free and veggie options. The service was so kind and quick! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.“
“Our first time dining here at Madeline’s. I made a reservation same day! We live here in town and was in our bucket list with me and my wife. I ordered filet mignon and it was delicious. Highly recomiende it. Shout out to the chef that night. Thank you chef Arian you made our night. Will come back again soon.“
“Cute cafe is separate from the restaurant which is close by. Along with limited food & desserts, it's a gift shop. I took a slice of raspberry rhubarb pie to go. It was really good. ? ? I also got the meatloaf dinner which came with mashed potatoes.“
“Came here on a trip up the coast and had a great experience. Stopped by and got a beer and charcuterie board. They have a good selection of beers. Chris was an amazing server, extremely attentive, made us feel very welcome and made great conversation with us. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.“
“My Fiancé and I had the honor of visiting The Restaurant at Ragged Point a few weeks ago the property and the views itself were amazing and we had the best dinner and had amazing service from Fernando - We hope to come back for a visit very soon this time we’d like to stay a few days ♥️♥️ If you haven’t already make the trip up you won’t be sorry !!“
“What an exquisite place for a bite of breakfast. You are greeted by Edwin's jovial welcome and then dealt with exceptional service and food! There is a reason this place has such high ratings! Cannot rave more about the food! It was really good! Thank you from a traveller from Toronto, CA.“
“Customer service was great, the atmosphere was beautiful outside, sat next to the water fountain and the waitress came and took our orders. Took about 30 minutes to get our food because it was busy but the food was worth the wait. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!“
“Nice cozy family friendly clean restaurant. Sandwich and cinnamon rolls were great. The pizza smelled great and looked great but I didn't have the room in my stomach ?. Parking is limited, it's downtown Cambria. It will be worth your time. Bring some extra cash there are some great little “
“We stayed overnight at the Lodge to see the holiday lights and decided to try their restaurant. So glad we did! We were sat promptly in a lovely back room near a warm fireplace and water & bread was brought immediately. Our waiter Clinton was exceptional and clearly a seasoned wait staffer. I had the pan seared scallops on wilted greens with a creamy mushroom sauce...it was delectable and the scallops perfectly cooked to remain tender. Best I've ever had. Hubby had the ravioli and it was good but not all that memorable. When the table next to us got delivered a special complementary birthday dessert , I asked Clinton if my birthday last month could count for this dessert. He laughed but didn't really answer me. We decided we were too full for dessert anyways and I ordered decaf coffee. Out came the coffee with the special complementary dessert! It was a small Bundt cake like loaf of chocolate goodness with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very yummy!“
“I had no idea this is where Dog House Grill originated! We were totally surprised and happy to eat in one of our absolute fave restaurants here in Cambria. Delicious food, fantastic portions, fast delivery, and awesome service. Will always eat here when visiting Cambria.“
“The dishes were different than the last time I few times I visited. The Brussels sprouts were still delicious but less ingredients were used, ie walnuts cheese etc Same with the scallops. Overall food was very good, staff was super nice. Will return again.“
“This is a great place in Cambria if you just want to walk in and sit at a bar, order drinks and some Appetizers. They also have a full menu to sit at a table and dine. But we did find that this was one of the only places to sit at a bar and to order alcohol and food in downtown Cambria. We enjoyed our quick stop in for a couple of beers and some Appetizers!“
“Happy to cater to vegan diet. I ordered all the veggies with home fries and avacado.Very accommodating.Be aware hash browns have butter.Vegetarian hubby enjoyed the breakfast burrito with variations. All very good .Vegetarian options: Willing to meet needs. Accommodating.“
“Driving along Moonstone Beach area, we found the Cow Tipper and decided to stop for a quick coffee and breakfast. Looked like kind of a fast-food place inside, and we weren’t expecting much. However, the food was great! Three large, fluffy pancakes with added crisp bacon were delicious! Eggs over easy, with chicken-apple sausage and tasty, well-seasoned home style potatoes were excellent! Starbucks coffee topped off the meal. The chef knows what he’s doing!! Also, have to say that the man taking our order was friendly, helpful, and changed the feel of the place from fast food to a welcoming restaurant! He really was charming and we asked his name so we could give a shout out to him. So thank you, Blake, for making our first visit so pleasant! Hope your boss reads this review!!“
“Its a little old vegas fashioned in style but looks like it does it all. Dancing, live music, diner by day. I had the most delicious pasta ive never had served this way.The waiter was very kind, good, and Johnny on the spot.I look forward to coming here again on my next visit.“
