“Only one word describes Seed Ranger…..WOW!!! First of all, they offer ANYTHING that conventional restaurants like Applebees, Chili’s, TGI Fridays can offer, and it’s all vegan! I have had wonderful comfort food before and I’m always happy when I can find it, but this place offers over 100 different items from breakfast to “shrimp” po boy sandwiches and it’s all made to order. The cafe is in one of the most out of the way locations off Johnson Road in Ventura, and it appears that they are the last surviving restaurant in what was once a thriving food court, so make your day and satisfy your appetite at Seed Ranger. “I love how their hamburgers and fries taste. Last time I was there, no cashier would come over to help me and when my order was ready nobody announced it. I had to go over and wait a good 3-5min for somebody to come over and ask me what I needed. So I ask if my order was ready and sure enough it was sitting on the counter for I don't know how long. That was upsetting for me because I like my fries as hot as they can be. I was also upset cause I was in a hurry and couldn't ask them to replace it cause that would imply spending more time there which I didn't have. But the hamburgers and fries are very delicious specially for what you pay.“

I absolutely love this place — it’s easily become one of my all-time favorite spots to eat. Ever since I first discovered it, I find myself craving it constantly. The food never disappoints, especially the lamb — it’s genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly tender and packed with flavor every single time.
I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, and it was phenomenal. The lamb was unbelievably tender — it practically melted in my mouth — and the sauce was bursting with deep, layered flavors. It had that perfect balance of heat, spice, and richness that makes Vindaloo such a standout dish. You can tell it’s been slow-cooked and crafted with care, not rushed or overly oily like you sometimes find elsewhere.
On top of that, the owner is an absolute sweetheart. You can feel her warmth and pride in everything from the food to the atmosphere. She truly deserves a full house every single day — this restaurant is a gem that more people need to know about.“

we got chow mien, green curry chicken, tom kha soup, beef salad. portions were large, with plenty of veggies and meat. tom kha and beef salad were rich, good tasting but too sweet. curry was ordered spiciness level 3, which was barely spicy. very rich and good tasting. service was fine, nothing great but not horrible. decor is pretty good. place was very popular on a Friday night. We would go back, possibly ordering food slightly more spicy and seeing if they could either A) make things less sweet or B) try other dishes that are less sweet.

Regarding price, entrees are $18-$30 (e.g. chicken curry is $22 or $23). So on the pricy side for a Thai place, but you do get more food which partially offsets it.“

The server was very helpful and made sure to check in regularly even though I was seated outside. I also got the Goi Cuon. It was good, very similar to other Goi Cuon I've eaten.“

My server was Payton, she was kind, attentive, and made sure my food and drink order were correct, hot, and that the refill for the drink was always ready! The manager on duty Jonathan, also stopped at my table to ask how the evening was going and also helped make sure our food made it out in a timely manner.
