“The best bagel spot in all of California. East coasters must try, they really do it right here. Been coming for years and will continue to do so. Owners/Staff are some of the nicest people as well, they have our business for life.”

“If you like matcha latte, you ought to try this place. Their matcha latte reminds me of the super strong matcha ice cream I had at a well known tea house at Kyoto. I can tell they use premium quality of matcha powder to make their drinks. I usually order matcha latte with extra shot, 50% sweetness.”

“I cannot say enough about this restaurant! GOGA is the place to go for fresh, healthy, delicious food! Definitely Saratoga’s hidden gem! It is behind the UPS building with plenty of parking. The staff is wonderful, very accommodating & Chef Brads presentation & deliciousness of his fabulous meals is always 5 stars! We will be going back this Sunday for brunch with family from out of town that can’t wait to try it! Go GOGA!!”

“My favorite restaurant in the world, and by a big margin. If you’re on the fence, thinking about booking here, just do it. I promise you will not regret it. Chef Aoki is one of the most talented chefs in the bay, if not the world — utilizing years of skill acquired across the world from Kyoto Kaiseki with bits of French influence. Over the many years I’ve repeatedly come back, I’ve never had a bad experience. The quality of ingredients from their suppliers are top tier, and absolutely some of the best I’ve ever tasted — whether it be their house made dashi, their wagyu, uni, ikura, matsutake mushroom, their produce, their fruits, the list goes on and on and on. Yuko and shin truly are masters of their craft, and I’m grateful to experience it every time I visit.”

“Awesome pricing. Pleasant service. I came here for lunch with my coworkers and the guy was extremely friendly and had the patience to deal with our indecisiveness, plus we were in and out of there in no time. Would definitely recommend anyone in the Saratoga area to go. The cheese pizza is the best I've had anywhere. The crust is great and homemade. The combination pizza is my second favorite”

“Ate here last month and still thinking about how fresh the sashimi was. I got the lunch bento with 3 options and chose; sashimi, saba (mackerel) and tempura. It came with a small salad, rice and miso soup. The total was close to 25 dollars and well worth it. The saba was grilled perfectly and the tempura was light, crunchy and not greasy at all. I came with a class group of maybe 10+ people. The students loved the menu also and the staff were so kind and accommodating. 10000% wish I could eat here every week. 1000% will be coming back.”

“I ordered some breakfast to go, and what we received was great, but we didn’t receive all of the side items. I definitely recommend checking your order. The service was friendly, quick, and really overall very pleasant, and the food quality was excellent. I hope to come back when I have time to eat in person.”
“Mt. Eden Winery is truly a hidden gem. The moment you arrive, you're greeted with breathtaking views that set the tone for an exceptional wine-tasting experience. The wines are top-notch—each sip reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail that go into every bottle. Their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are standouts, but every wine we tried had incredible depth and character. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're a wine lover or just looking for a serene escape, Mt. Eden is a must-visit!”

“Met a colleague at a local wine bar.... First one said they were closing early.... Ok... Walked to the next. The other wine bar said they were closed, had at least six individuals drinking full glasses of wine. Refused service unless I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine Togo. I left.... Found the bank.... Met my colleague.... Dropped some cash at a great bar that appreciates customers. Later had a great meal... Dropped more cash at Burger Bar next door. My fault for leaving Woodside that day!

“One of the best smash burgers we have had. Enjoyed dinner with Redwood Cafe while at Wilkerson Farms. The gentleman that was cooking knows how to make an excellent burger and frys. His service was top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone that come across his food truck to stop and give it a try. You will not regret it. 10/10”

“Enjoy the slow moments and dining experience with authentic Japanese flavors here. Chef Suzuki is a master chef. They have been around 10+ years and have loyal customers. Make reservations as it is a small setting, you are not likely able to just walk-in.
Here is what I tried and I recommend them as representative and rare dishes in the Bay Area:
mentaiko isobe maki
assorted tempura
karasumi zosui
amaebi, otoro, uni nigiri
tomoshichi nigori junmai
Saba no aka-miso ni
hirame sashimi
purin w/ a candle for a bday
On the menu, it says you have to be invited to try a omakase experience from the chef. Somehow, someday I will get there.”

“A cozy authentic Taiwanese restaurant in an area decimated by a declining Taiwanese population. This is an absolute gem, the cook should be commended!!
Southland taste recently closed ending 2 different families owning a south bay institution of Taiwanese food. If you are craving that taiwanese omlette rice or minced pork over rice I can vouch!
Wa shi Daiwan Lang. You can trust me if you are a Taiwanese foodie.
Omg update 5/15/25
I just tried their popcorn chicken and its AMAZING. SUPER THING CRISP CRUST AND THEN ALL CHICKEN BABY!!! WHAT THE AMAZING!
Cmere trust. Eat. Profit
Its between Old Republic Title and Chicago Title near Peets coffee, across the street from Jakes!
Re: negative reviews are poorly written and lack any thoughtfulness.
I've been to Taiwan 7 times in the last few years as well as am familiar when Cupertino was taiwanese before all the taiwanese, Koreans and Japanese fragmented left the area in large numbers or moved abroad.
You have to understand that the palate of people that enjoy other DIFFERENT Chinese cuisines will never agree with another Chinese cuisine, same with folks that hate on legitimate American Chinese food which is its own cuisine, there's British Chinese cuisine, Malaysian, Indonesian, Singaporean, Venezuelan Chinese, Chilean, Mexican Chinese etc.
Anything below a 4 is a garbage review with no effort they're either attack reviews from competitors or people that just can't appreciate the mom and pop style of taiwan.
Book a ticket (Taiwan) and eat in Tainan, Khaosiung, Taipei, changhua, jeelung and other places and you'll see what I mean.”

“La Mere Michelle hosted our wedding reception on Saturday Feb. 29th and it was an amazing night! Chef Marc, Madame Michelle, and their whole team really made this special for us. We asked our guests to get to the restaurant at 5:30, and they already had a special room all setup for us. I had been working with Marc in the days leading up to the wedding, he was a ton of help. Helped us get the room exactly how we wanted it and was even sending videos of the setup the day before. His great communication and confidence in the success of the night really helped put our nerves at ease. After our guests visited for a bit and had their wine served to us by a team of their staff, we started off with a delicious wedge salad. It had the perfect balance of Roquefort dressing, bacon, and bleu cheese crumbles. There was even someone going around with fresh cracked pepper offered to each guest! All the salads came out in a timely manner, with the bride and myself the groom being served first. The plates were quickly cleared when guests were done and it was on to the next course. Each guest was given a choice of a chicken, steak, or salmon dish. What I especially appreciated was that the guests had their orders taken on the spot - none of that needing to pick your option weeks/months ahead of time! Personally I was planning on the salmon, but that night I decided to go with the chicken. These entrees were served traditionally and also came out on time, with no guests having to wait any longer than the amount of time it took to walk back from the kitchen. The wine and water was kept pouring throughout this whole time. After dinner we were all served champagne for a nice toast and some speeches. The whole dinner, from the moment we arrived, we were waited on by at a minimum three staff. Not like they would wait other tables and come check on us when needed - they were there to help the whole dinner! They were also serving at the bar just outside the room when our guests wanted something different than beer. It was a really nice personal touch to have assistance the whole night. All the staff was nice and friendly, they were talking to us and the guests and added to the conversations but without being too much. Madame Michelle was also making her rounds, talking to the guests and giving us good marriage advice while also making sure everything was as perfect as we expected during this wedding reception. All in all this was a great place to have our dinner at. Chef Marc handled all the Little Details and provided us some much needed stress relief. The food was delicious, the service top notch, and everything was above and beyond what we expected. Looking forward to eating here again on our next trip to Saratoga!”
