“We've been here multiple times and its one of my girlfriend's favorite spots to get matcha from as they're very consistent. Today there was only one young woman working the front and there were literally 20+ people inside and she stayed composed and made everyone's drinks and didn't falter. I hope she isn't left alone like that again, but definitely props to her. Definitely worth the wait.”

“I cannot say enough about this restaurant! GOGA is the place to go for fresh, healthy, delicious food! Definitely Saratoga’s hidden gem! It is behind the UPS building with plenty of parking. The staff is wonderful, very accommodating & Chef Brads presentation & deliciousness of his fabulous meals is always 5 stars! We will be going back this Sunday for brunch with family from out of town that can’t wait to try it! Go GOGA!!”

“Excellent. Tasty food, I particularly enjoy the Veggie Burrito with black beans, it is my favorite veggie burrito in the area. I highly recommend it. The chips and green salsa, which they serve at every table, is also a favorite for me, it is very different than any other salsa I've ever tasted. This is a small, family owned business, and the owners and personnel are very friendly. The price of the food is very fair, my fav burrito (Best vegetarian burrito in town) is $10.10 including tax. Enjoy!”

“Our family of 5 went to celebrate my twins birthday. Our server Timmy was very kind and friendly. At the end of dinner he brought over separate desserts for each of my twins mentioning that they probably wouldn't want to share their dessert since they were already sharing their birthday as twins. That was very thoughtful of him! Overall had a great time celebrating . The service and food was good!”

“Such a cozy place with decor. My favorite thing I had the night I visited was the Genovese flat bread! I am a big fan of wine, so means a lot when the food doesn’t leave my mind at all tasting room. I’ll be back!”

“Best authentic Thai food outside of Thailand! I’ve been eating at Bai Tong for over 20 years and have never been disappointed with a single meal from them. It’s insane how great their food is! Actually I have been disappointed by them when they ran out of their fried banana ice cream dessert lol
I know pad Thai is the traditional Thai noodle dish but my personal favorite is Mee phad (Thai style chow main) no one else makes any thing like it. I rotate through their curry dishes every visit because they’re all soooo good. I wish they had a curry flight lol omg probably the fastest thing I’ve ever said. 🤭
Tom kha is the perfect comfort soup on a cold day.
If you’re in the Bay Area you have to try this food!”

“Another fantastic date-night! Even though one of the dishes came too raw, they quickly replaced it. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive, which is great 👍”

“Awesome pricing. Pleasant service. I came here for lunch with my coworkers and the guy was extremely friendly and had the patience to deal with our indecisiveness, plus we were in and out of there in no time. Would definitely recommend anyone in the Saratoga area to go. The cheese pizza is the best I've had anywhere. The crust is great and homemade. The combination pizza is my second favorite”
“An absolute gem!
This family-owned Mexican place is a must try if you are in the area!
- Every dish bursts with authentic flavor (IMO) and FRESH! from the fresh salsa to the perfectly seasoned entrées.
- The staff treats you like family. Also attentive and funny!
- The place is clean, cozy with great vibes.
We had a great dinner and early b-day celebration. We will come back for sure. Again, definitely a must-try spot for anyone who loves great food, great people, and genuine hospitality!”

“I’ve been wanting to try the viral Dubai chocolate chewy cookie and was pleasantly surprised to find out I didn’t have to drive all the way to the city for it! They limit 2 per customer on weekends which I appreciate. It was soft and chewy on the outside but crunchy, nutty, and sweet on the inside. The other pastries looked amazing too but I didn’t get to try them. Wish there was more seating/cozier cafe ambiance. I will be back to try the madeleines!”

“Apparently there is an egg dish I never knew I needed in my life: Turkish Eggs, poached and served over herb flavored yogurt with spicy oil. The poached eggs were the perfect texture, the yogurt was delicious, although the spicy oil drizzle could have been more spicy. It’s a nice light breakfast dish that I would love to experiment with. The menu here is quite varied, the latte we ordered was pretty good too. We sat outside in the sun on a crisp winter morning, it’s a joy. Will be back to try other things.”
“A most beautiful outdoor concert venue. Loved the Roman coliseum style and the sound is great. Very romantic atmosphere with wine tasting and food served on site. Food, wine and parking $25 can be expensive but it is worth it.”

“Woo Hoo!! They're open again after an extremely long shutdown after the Quito Village was torn down to build new homes on the lot. Placed a mobile order and picked it up a few minutes later. Very nice and clean open space inside. Nice!! 👍🏼”
“Small batch, family-owned winery with old vine Zinfandel that is spectacular. All their wines are excellent!”
“We had such a lovely day at House Family Vineyards enjoying their wine flight. The views are absolutely stunning. The $30 flight included 5 wines (2 whites and 3 reds). I’m not usually a Pinot Noir or Zinfandel fan, but I really enjoyed theirs + the Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent. We paired our tasting with the Charcuterie and Cheese kit, which was delicious. Highly recommend visiting for the wine, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff!”

“One of the best smash burgers we have had. Enjoyed dinner with Redwood Cafe while at Wilkerson Farms. The gentleman that was cooking knows how to make an excellent burger and frys. His service was top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone that come across his food truck to stop and give it a try. You will not regret it. 10/10”

“Stopped in for a quick lunch and man, that cowboy burger is good. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Fries weren’t my favorite style but they were hot and good as well. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny”
“Met a colleague at a local wine bar.... First one said they were closing early.... Ok... Walked to the next. The other wine bar said they were closed, had at least six individuals drinking full glasses of wine. Refused service unless I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine Togo. I left.... Found the bank.... Met my colleague.... Dropped some cash at a great bar that appreciates customers. Later had a great meal... Dropped more cash at Burger Bar next door. My fault for leaving Woodside that day!

“🥐 Exceptional Pastries and Authentic Persian Flavors
Kandoo Patisserie & Cafe is a standout destination for anyone seeking a true taste of traditional sweets. The first thing you notice upon walking in is the incredible aroma of rosewater, saffron, and cardamom, which sets the stage for what is a very high-quality experience. They offer a wide array of good pastries that are as beautiful to look at as they are to eat. It is rare to find a bakery that balances traditional methods with such consistent freshness, but Kandoo manages to do it perfectly.
🍯 A Deep Dive into Authentic Persian Desserts
What really makes this cafe special is its commitment to authentic Persian desserts.
The Classics: Their selection of Roulet (Persian Swiss rolls) is light and airy, while the Napoleon is crisp and layered with just the right amount of cream.
Specialty Ingredients: You can taste the quality in the ingredients they use—from the premium pistachios to the delicate floral notes that define Middle Eastern confectionery.
Balanced Sweetness: Unlike many commercial bakeries where sugar overpowers everything else, the treats here are subtle and refined, allowing the natural flavors of the nuts and spices to shine through.
Variety: Whether you are looking for dry cookies to pair with tea or decadent, cream-filled pastries for a special occasion, their display case is packed with options that cater to every preference.
☕ Atmosphere and Local Charm
The cafe itself has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it a great neighborhood hub.
Cozy Seating: It is a nice spot to grab a tea or a Persian coffee and enjoy your pastry in a relaxed environment.
Helpful Service: The staff is knowledgeable and happy to explain the different types of desserts if you aren't familiar with the specific names or ingredients, which makes the experience very approachable for newcomers.
Great for Gifting: They also offer beautifully packaged boxes, making it an easy place to pick up a high-end gift for a dinner party or a holiday.
🥯 Final Thoughts and Recap
To recap, Kandoo Patisserie & Cafe is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good pastries and wants to explore authentic Persian desserts. The quality is consistently high, and the flavors are incredibly traditional and well-executed. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the bakers take immense pride in their heritage and their craft. Whether you are a regular or trying Persian sweets for the first time, this cafe provides a 5-star experience that will keep you coming back for more.”
