“Met a colleague at a local wine bar.... First one said they were closing early.... Ok... Walked to the next. The other wine bar said they were closed, had at least six individuals drinking full glasses of wine. Refused service unless I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine Togo. I left.... Found the bank.... Met my colleague.... Dropped some cash at a great bar that appreciates customers. Later had a great meal... Dropped more cash at Burger Bar next door. My fault for leaving Woodside that day!

“Growing up in Saratoga, there weren’t many casual asian dining places nearby and Sushi Heaven has always been a staple restaurant for my family for weekend night out dinners.
Sushi Heaven is not traditional Japanese, and has a variety of rolls that are fun to choose from and also has great bento boxes.

They also reasonably price Toro and if you’re lucky, you get decent cuts.

They take reservations and are busy during dinner times so call ahead or there is a waiting list.

“been coming here for almost four years now. chefs have changed in and out every couple months bc I think they’re trying new dishes but the last time I came, flavors were great and back to its original quality. definitely get the ceviche and can’t go wrong with any of the lomo saltado dishes. servers are friendly and although service is a bit slow at times, I normally always have a solid experience.“

“You know those cool Christmas movies, in a bar that's all decked out with decorations? THIS is the place! We just moved to San Jose in November, no time to decorate for the holidays...honestly it didn't really feel like the holidays to us until we walked into MINIBOSS! We randomly found this place before a show at the Improv, and walking in for the first time ever, seeing everyone in Christmas sweaters and decorations ceiling to floor, holiday inspired amazing cocktails, cool holiday mugs and glasses. It really felt like the holiday spirit was in there and my husband and I desperately needed that!

We've been back a few times since, it's such a great place for hanging out and having drinks. I cant wait to check out the decorations during other holidays. And let's not forget the arcades. When friends come to visit us for the first time, this is the first bar we'll take them to!“

“The best Brazilian steakhouse in the South Bay, hands down. The service is ultra attentive. If you want a meat that you missed, the waiter will be sure to have a fresh skewer come to you as soon as possible. When you leave to go to the salad bar, the waiter folds up your napkin and puts it on a fresh small plate. Oh, and their salad bar is basically a meat bar as well. Get the candied bacon from the salad bar, it's amazing. The entremets are the best around. Start with the warm cheese filled bread poppers. The Cinnamon brazed pineapple is beyond amazing. The warm cheese with fresh honey is where it's at. For the main course, the meat, it's the highest quality compared to all the other Brazilian joints around town. I only minus one star from ambiance due to the high speed traffic of the meat servers moving table to table. The trick is to never get up from your chair as you consume copious amounts of meat. All in all, I highly recommend this place for fulfilling your lust for meats.“

“Good place to play pool for FREE sometimes and darts...plus the tap beers are ice cold and ALL the bartenders are very nice and serve with a smile. Brie on Tuesdays makes different types of food that's made with love ❤️ ? and is very delicious for the patrons. There's also a delicious TACO Truck outside( except Tuesdays ) to get tasty Mexican dishes and you can bring it inside! Really wanted to go back but didn't make it work - will most definitely go back again if in San Jose/Japantown! The price per person includes a few beverages and highly recommended (which became obvious WHY) pizza and the Duchess sandwich from nearby J-Town Pizza! We said our goodnight, but this a meet zone that has legs…it’s an older established neighborhood bar, a meeting zone. You should check it out. From my experience, there are a few ground rules, ready?Be good or be gone…No matter the size of your entourage, you don’t own this place, we are all transitioning throughout, so calm down.The deputy mayor of the town is at the end of the bar. The local doctor is at the bar, the local plumber that will fix all of your issues is at the bar, so tread lightly before you blow this place up with your outside view.Back to my original point of view, you don’t own this place with your ca$h, they own the history and you borrow it for a few hours. The patio has all new furniture and the inside is fully renovated in a very smart style. The beer cooler is gone so the beer selection is more limited than before, but they offer a short list of cocktails and wine. Would like to see some non-alcoholic options, which the menu is lacking.“

“I got the single patty cheeseburger combo and nugs combo with a side of Mac and cheese. I think the nugs combo is a good bang for your buck because they give such a large amount of nuggets and fries. They taste delicious with honey and their special sauce and were fried to perfection. I enjoyed their cheeseburger as well and would get it again!
Just a heads up for anyone who orders the chicken salad, my best friend got it and it was a whole bunch of nuggets with what appeared to be a small amount of spring mix underneath and a side of ranch. She was a bit disappointmented, but she wanted a lighter meal, but it was too heavy for her.“

“What a blast. I went down to Beefy's last night with my wife and a friend of ours for a dart tournament. There were at least 40 people chucking darts. Everyone was very welcoming as the dart community usually is. TBH, I got a little clostrophobic as there was nowhere to move after each throw. It was packed. Too many tables and chairs in the way The tournament was played on 5 boards simultaneously, and they have a practice board inside and outside. The boards were all lit very well with LED surrounds, and we used the provided tablets with DartsConnect app for scoring. Some people brought snacks to share. Priced seemed a little high ($8 Modelo draft) on drinks, but what bar isn't nowadays. There is plenty of parking in front and back. League Darts on Thursdays and tournaments on Saturdays. Overall, I had a very nice experience there and will definitely be returning.“

“This is like going to the Ponderosa or Disneyland! The room was amazing and large very comfortable and for as fancy as this is , They are dog friendly at no extra charge. I even had a balcony that I could walk out on to and sit down at my own patio furniture, wow. They serve all there own 5 star quality meat from there own ranch, or if you have a camper or otherwise you can stay in there lot they have 24 hr security I was truly shocked how amazing this property really is, they don't offer complementary breakfast they have a restaurant on property also gas and plenty of electric car charging available.“

“For 3 yrs always stay at Aloft it’s like my second home , the ambiance is very nice, front desk clerk are polite and friendly , the bar , waiting area , restaurant and the swimming pool are very nice , the rooms are big, and parking area“

“We tried to visit Goodtime Bar once before, but seating is very very limited, so decided to try again another time when we could get a seat (it's a small space, both inside and outside, and even the standing room is limited - but standing room isn't what I'm looking for in a wine bar).
Last night we made it at a time when we were able to grab the only 2 seats available. The ambiance is great - the setup is very modern, and the music is enjoyable. I was rather disappointed by their Wines by the Glass selection - rather, their lack thereof. Their menu has a single listing for "wines by the glass" with each color listed beneath (bubbles, white, orange, red) and a note to ask what they're pouring tonight. I like this in concept - it suggests a rotating menu. however, the options were limited - for a red, they only had a red blend (no other options for a single glass). I will caveat that with this: the red blend was delightful and I would absolutely get it again (if I knew what it is)! but when I go out to a wine bar, I'm interested in either a flight of different wines, or 2 glasses of 2 different wines (of the same color). so while our intention was to stay for 2 glasses each, we just had the single glass and left.
they do seem to have plenty of Wines by the Bottle options - again, a single listing on the menu pointing you to all the bottles on the wall with their prices written on them in sharpie. so if you're with a bigger group, or planning to stay for the whole evening, I can see Goodtime being a good time for you!

our service was great too! they are super friendly. a table inside with kids accidentally broke a wine glass, and I watched two of the workers immediately rush over to clean it up. I was very impressed with the response and the response time.“

“Aloft Sunnyvale on its own is good enough value for money spent. However, what truly stood out was the customer ser ice of its front desk. Shoutout to Michelle for helping me out a ton when I was trying to extend my stay. No excuses were made and she found a way to get it done even under difficult circumstances. Roy was also great with the room upgrade when he saw that I had brought a friend and might have needed a bigger bed. 10/10 Customer Service!“
