“I did a mistake when ordering, ordered something that I can't eat. Realized my mistake too late, I even started eating the side pieces. After realizing I wanted the check, and was told I can pay with the tablet on the table. My meal was uneaten so I explained to the waiter I can't eat it, it was on me, not than meal was bad or anything. She told me to wait aminute, and replaced my meal with something else. Staff is attentive and very friendly.“

On-site Wedo’s Food truck has GREAT tacos; I had the chicken and also the fish (the BEST) and some chicken nachos = all very good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“I love this place! Also love that Synchronicity Holistic Dispensary is right next door! My favorite thing ever was the buffalo chicken dip, they only make it randomly but holy moly. Also they half flatbread and salad makes the perfect meal. Even if you don't like beer they have really great options of sours, ciders, and wine that are constantly changing. Love it!!!!!!!“

“From the prompt service to the delicious food, this was a terrific experience. Our server, Mark, went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. He even let me sample some different wines to make sure I got something I was happy with. The oysters were delicious, as was everything else we had. “Came here while on vacation with my husband for dinner and twice for breakfast. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Fidel was super friendly, kind, and brightened our vacation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to steer us in the right direction when visiting places. His service was outstanding and his team was awesome, too. Next time we vacation in Monterey we hope to see him again! The food, as I mentioned earlier, was fantastic. I got the cauliflower steak and was surprised how good it was. My husband got the award-winning clam chowder bread bowl and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Normally restaurants will load up their chowder with potatoes, but in his bowl, there were plenty of clams. We finished off the night with the chocolate cake and a scoop of ice cream to pair with the wine we brought. Amazing combination.

They had a made-to-order omelet and waffle bar as well as a ton of other items in the buffet, including: sausage, bacon, eggs, roasted potatoes, corn beef hash, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, muffins, donuts, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal and toppings, hard boiled eggs, and more.“

They marked one’s personalized mug on the bottom and left it hanging at the bar for repeated quaffing. “This bar is the type of clubby leather clad place that is perfect for a “final final”. The bartenders give great service and there is a wide selection of scotches and bourbons and cognac. There are also several televisions and they serve a limited menu of pub food. Sit by the fireplace and relax after fighting the winds at Spanish Bay.“

“This was a great way to wrap up our wine tasting in Carmel Valley. You order at the counter, then take your number and find a place to sit. They will bring the food out to you, but you are on your own for keeping your water filled and getting napkins, utensils, etc.

The food was simple (grilled cheese with sun dried tomato pesto and the side of meatballs), but the quality and taste were on point. Two of us split these, and we each had a glass of wine (great selection of area wineries).

“When it's busy, like on karaoke nights, service is very slow and good luck getting someone to come to the table to take your order. Not much for decor or ambience but quite a crowd on busy nights. Over all, i recommend for a nice evening out with friends.“

“Great central Carmel location amongst galleries, bakeries, coffee shops, bookstores etc. In good weather ask for the patio they take reservations by inside vs outside. Great atmosphere out there… old building, stucco, vines, etc. It was cool but they have plenty of heaters. Great food… had bruschetta appetizer which is loaded with diced tomatoes and smoked flavor (grilled bread). Also the di stefano salad, it has crispy goat cheese, roasted beets and fig-balsamic dressing. Excellent, highly recommended! Had the cioppino which was excellent. Good wine list. Eat here lunch OR dinner.“

“Stopped in for dinner while visiting my parents who live in the Carmel area. Even though it’s not on the main drag, this is a great place to eat for good good, a chill mid century vibe, and friendly staff (thanks Tiffany!). We had the calamari (A+), hangar steak (cooked to perfection), house hummus and veggies, crab cake, and the Caesar salad with grilled prawns (YUM). Kid friendly as well. “Super good wings, burgers and sandwiches! The service was awesome, super quick and really attentive. The vibe of the place was relaxed and the decorations/history was interesting. Slightly pricey for a burger but it was super good and i’d get it again. I’d recommend the blackened chicken sandwich the most!“

But it's really all about the decorations!! The ceiling and walls are covered in old boots, animal skins, animal heads, signs, saddles, horns, pictures, chairs, hats, etc. etc. etc.

We were told by two locals during our wine tastings that this is the bar all locals come to at night.

“I’m from out of state. A group of us travel several times a year and have tried many restaurants. We always try to go to restaurants we wouldn’t have at home. This was by far the best. The homemade French press hot tea, Bloody Mary, rice and beans, cabbage rolls, caeser salad and turkey lentil soup. I can’t say enough about the owner and food. Give them a try!“
