“Great staff, food, and beer! A group of us (11) finished a memorial hike for our friend, and we gathered at Post No Bills in Carmel for lunch. Cooper was the only one working in front of the house when we arrived. He was GREAT!! Very accommodating to our group. So friendly, too. He also accommodated our request for separate checks (we wouldn't ask if it was too busy). We were impressed that he remembered who ordered what as we moved around, and some of us were couples and some were singles. Each check was 100% accurate. Definitely going back! Great service, yummy food, great beer, nice vibe, and a lot of parking.“

“Sometimes, five stars don't do a location justice. This is one of those times.
Exceptional in every respect. The atmosphere is honestly one of those rare finds.
Service was fantastic, sat at the bar and our server was never more than a few steps away.
The spirits selection is something that you rarely see. Their top shelf, is what the words mean.
Everything we had to eat was outstanding. Served fast and almost too hot to eat, except the oysters of course, which were also over the top. I seriously can't give the fish and chips a high enough recommendation!

“We came in on a saturday afternoon and were able to find a table right away! The Bar side of the restaurant has happy hour every day from 4-6pm and their small plates and pizzas were on the food list! Their cocktails were all 8 dollars and house wines 7 dollars. We ate and each had a drink for under 40 dollars which seems absurd in Carmel! Not only affordable but the food was to die for! We had the Truffle Gnocchi which was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had and the White Truffle Pie was so fresh and full of mushrooms and onions! Dipping the crust in the leftover gnocchi sauce put it over the edge! Isabel was our server and she was kind and quick with everything! It was a wonderful little stop in Carmel, just off Ocean Ave!“

“The bartender was very nice. He let us know the kitchen was about to close, and to get our food orders in. The food was very yummy. The patty was smaller than I expected, but tasty and well cooked. My daughter loved the waffle fries, and husband liked the tots. We had a couple drinks, ate, it was a very chill lunch we enjoyed.“

“We were in town for the weekend looking for a dog friendly sports bar, and hit the jackpot choosing this spot. The owner (or manager?) was at the table by the door and was extremely friendly and welcoming when we walked in. Our server Marissa was also was very personable and attentive, especially for our dog. I think it's understated how welcoming this place really is. I really enjoyed the hospitality and atmosphere here. Looking forward to coming back our next visit.“

“We have been coming to Mezzaluna for years. Definitely our favorite Italian spot in the Monterey area. I would recommend making a reservation as the resturaunt isn’t huge and it fills up quick! Intimate atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food. The cocktails are great and definitely save room for a tiramisu for dessert!“

“Oh Alvarado Street Brewery, I love you. This is my favorite brewery at the moment, I enjoy most of their beer offerings. The patio out back is nice and they have a TV with the game on but it can be difficult to get a spot. The wait isn't completely terrible, for dinner we managed to get seated fairly quickly and for lunch we sat at the bar. I had their beet salad and split a pizza with my brother. The beet salad was great and the pizza was OK. For dinner it was packed and a little loud so it was kind of difficult to talk. We ended up coming back the next day after golf for some beers and their burger which was delicious. Great spot if you enjoy their beers.“

It was an amazing evening from start to finish - a beautiful table in the inside/outdoor space at the front of the hotel, warm and impeccable service led by Donice who made the whole evening incredibly special, and fabulous food. “You gotta visit just for the decorations!! Cowboy theme extravaganza!!! Some kinda creepy, but so fun.

Burger was very good!! Cooked well and came out juicy. The blue cheese was good quality.

A friend had the fried chicken and said it was excellent. Another recommended the Patty Melt.

But it's really all about the decorations!! The ceiling and walls are covered in old boots, animal skins, animal heads, signs, saddles, horns, pictures, chairs, hats, etc. etc. etc.

We were told by two locals during our wine tastings that this is the bar all locals come to at night.

The service was excellent!! Really wish I remember the server's name, but she has as much character as the restaurant does!!! Loved chatting with her. She gave us some excellent wine tasting recommendations too!!“

“Generally quite good. Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Service was quick and accurate.I had the meatball sandwich with sweet potato fries for lunch. Lots of favorable meatballs, cheese and the marinara sauce was interesting without being too hot as many are now. Sweet Potato fries were not overcooked or over salted.

Almost empty for lunch but I expect that they bring in a good dinner crowd with all of the beer selections. I did not try any.

Only two negatives. The iced tea was off. It had a heavy taste as if the water had too many minerals. And the prices are just a bit too high. There are meals as good in the same area for less.

But I will go back. The pleasant, relaxing almost empty atmosphere will sometimes be worth the extra money!“

“When I made a reservation at Covey Grill, I did so out of convenience as we were arriving to The Quail lodge late and I thought dinner at the hotel would be best after a long travel day. My family and I arrived to the restaurant at our reserved time and were seated immediately. The hostess even provided us the option to sit inside or outside on the deck. We opted for an indoor window seat. We began with the ahi grade tuna and satsuma starter. It was delcious. The tuna was so fresh. My husband and I each ordered the halibut market fish for the evening. The fish was prepared nicely and served with mashed butternut squash and asparagus. Our boys enjoyed their Shirley Temples, hot dogs and French fries. I must say the French fries were legit. We were impressed by the service provided and the quality of the dishes served. While we were disappointed to find out the restaurant would not be open for the regular menu the remainder of our stay, we were able to try their three course menu night via room service the final night of our stay. Be sure to check the days and times of operation and book a reservation as you will not be disappointed. Covey Grill is not your typical hotel restaurant.“

“The place is small but friendly. I had the crab encrusted halibut. I didn't care for it. I love a good fish meal, bilut it had a beef stew type sauce with potatoes that didn't seen to match well. The crab part didn't taste like crab. The dish could have been a lot better with a cream sauce. It's a cute set up but I don't think I would be back.“
