“The food was very good and the fish for the sushi very fresh. I was surprised by the quality as we just stumbled upon this place in a shopping center. It’s a little hard to find depending on how you drive in the GPS made us go round in circles. Find the big store next to it and you’ll get there easily. It doesn’t have the atmosphere of a fancy Japanese restaurant, but the prices were very reasonable and the food as good as I’ve had anywhere in an expensive Japanese restaurant. thank you.“

“As bad as it sounds I didn’t want to write this review…. Part of me wanted to be selfish and keep this place under wraps! But real foodie girls aren’t gatekeeping in 2023 so here goes nothin…. This place is a hidden gem! Nestled in a shopping center between Motel 6, Dollar Tree and Jack in the Box who would have thought this unassuming Sushi joint would be serving the BEST sushi you or I will ever eat. The Pink Lady Roll is my absolute favorite. It has crab salad wrapped in salmon and topped with scallop and lemon. Melt in your mouth! Couldn’t get enough of this stuff. I always get the Geisha Roll as well. No rice roll with tuna, avocado, yellow tail,crab salad, wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber. DI-VINE! Their Takoyaki is always a hit, ALWAYS. The Ultimate Hamachi roll is an easy win for anyone that loves yellowtail. We always get their Miso Salmon special if it’s not sold out and it does not disappoint. The Hamachi wings were my son’s favorite this past visit. They are usually sold out but this time we managed to snag the last plate of them! I can’t say enough good things about the food and the service here! The place is super small so they are always packed. Sushiko rivals some of the fancier more well known spots I’ve visited in Northern California *cough* Kru *cough*. I drive 60 miles to eat here and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. The only thing that would make this place better is a larger location so we never run the risk of not getting a table :P.“

“This is really a good restaurant and it’s located on Farmer’s in Santa Rosa, CA. I had originally gone to another restaurant but they were so “full” and I just wanted to get a meal to go and be out of there. I ordered the Shrimp & Chicken Udon Noodles box which consisted of the Udon Noodles, kale, bean sprouts, steamed rice, side salad with cucumbers and tomatoes with a Japanese dressing. A soup with tofu & green onions in a bone beef broth. Also, I order the Jumbo Tempura Shrimp and it came with a teriyaki sauce. A very good meal with large portions. Friendly staff & a clean environment which is very important to me.“

“Wow, was in town and stopped in for take out. Great choice. Tasty food and large portions. Good kimchi, house salad dressing was flavorful and light, and the spicy BBQ chicken was tender. Could have been a bit more spicy though. So if you want some heat ask for it.“

“We eat here all the time…great service and really nice traditional Japanese food. This was a take out of the ramen (Chicken with shoyu). A bit salty this time, but fresh noodles. The veggies was lettuce…that was strange. Should be bok Choy or snap peas or broccolini, etc. But not lettuce, like leftover salad. It was also supposed to be 6:18 pickup. They then changed to 6:38. A bit misleading on their ordering platform (with the restaurant, not door dash or Uber Eats etc that takes away from the restaurant’s profits).“

“I have eaten here and ordered pick up several times and have always been satisfied, however, tonight my roll was extremely delicious! So fresh! The service here is always pleasant, they are so nice! I highly recommend them for dine in or take out! Always good!“

“Menu is a little overwhelming. It takes a while to read. A lot of rolls with made-up names. I’d prefer to just have a basic 10 rolls and then be able to customize. It’s great that they list the sauces they put in the rolls. But again, just the choice of adding them would be more convenient. The quality of the rice and other ingredients is wonderful. The rolls are delicious.“

My go to is usually the gyudon bowl for 12 dollars you get a load of meat and rice this place does not skimp out! same with the Bulgogi bowl if you are looking for a sweeter taste. I finally got to try their wagyu meat plate and their black garlic ramen and both blew past my expectations! The wagyu hot plate came sizzling and was packed with meat and rice! And the garlic ramen was so savory and the noodles were cooked to perfection! Now that I know how good it is I will definitely be getting them next time! If you go the Karaage is a MUST GET! Cooked to perfecting this juicy chicken is made in house fresh and one of the best karaage if not the best karaage in Santa Rosa! Support your local businesses and show them some love!“

“I had spicy chicken with soup, salad and rice. It was well spiced without overdoing it. My spouse had spicy squid with soup and sides. We both enjoyed our meals and we brought spicy chicken leftovers home for another meal. Well worth the prices and very tasty.“
