“Fresh fish and seafood, the restaurant is run by the owner. I've ordered many things on the menu, and nothing has ever disappointed me. From miso soup to chicken teriyaki plate, to skewers and appetizers - everything is delicious! They also have draft Sapporo and White Yuzu. With all that, the prices are very reasonable. My favorite mid-budget sushi place on Ventura blvd.“

“I love Kinza. It’s a cute but no pretension type of sushi spot! Their rolls come with 10 pieces (not 8) AND you can order half size rolls even for their specialty rolls which is INCREDIBLE. Very fresh, flavorful, lots of good combos, and service is excellent.
If you can’t find parking on the street, park in the alley behind the restaurant!“

“Now it is Osumo Sushi- the food is still just as good as it when it was run by mostly Japanese people. Jose and the others were super nice. First time eating since the change of ownership in 2020. Did time go by that quickly?? lol
Have been eating here for 7 years now -it is our favorite go to place when we have friends or family visiting from out of town, or a celebration.
The staff has always given us something for free- sake, mochi, or an extra roll.
I dislike fish, but decided to give it a go here. I am hooked! Pun intended!
The food has always been fresh, and the prices are better than you would find at most places. It is never very crowded, except for Friday and Saturday nights.
Everyone we bring to Sumo Sushi- even from other countries say the food is better than average.
It's the best kept secret in the valley!“

“I’m not sure why they don’t have a higher rating here as the sushi chef is amazing. He’s from Japan and the pride he has for preparing amazing sushi is admirable for sure. I’ve only been once but it was so fantastic and I’m looking forward to going back soon!“

“I’ve been here a few times now and it’s my new favorite sushi spot. The food is fresh to death with a mix of classic favorites and fun new dishes (the cilantro roll is to die for). Ben has been my waiter twice and I love the banter with him as much as the food. 10/10, chef’s kiss.“

“I really enjoyed dining at Taisho Sushi! The yellowtail serrano was perfectly balanced with just the right spice, and the salmon dry miso was incredibly flavorful and fresh. The presentation and service were both excellent — definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in town. Highly recommend!“

“Top quality fish prepared and presented beautifully, along with other sushi standards and several unique options. The atmosphere is minimalist, but the sushi, sashimi, and other dishes are anything but ordinary. From buttery salmon to terrific tuna, everything here is fresh, delicious, and worth a visit.“

“Right next to Crave Cafe my first time ever being and this location. As I am proud of the growth of this company. I am a big fan of sushi and would like to come back with family & friends. So they can have a real great experience themselves. I was impressed by the lay out and scenery of this location.

“This place for years has been my all time favorite. The service is unbelievably fast, welcoming and of top notch and respectful. The food is always fresh and the chefs you
Can tell are very passionate on what they do and the hold the Japanese craft to a high regard. I spoke to the manager he carries himself with his culture and pride very high. He is so incredibly kind and respectful. The restaurant really is a sight to behold and truly a gem in the United States. I drive an hour there without hesitation. As far as I’m concerned there is no place like it. Until next time 🙏“
