Tried the Bulgogi Burrito at Marinate Korean BBQ and it was seriously 🔥! The beef was super tender and packed with flavor — savory, a little sweet, and really satisfying. Loved that they use fresh veggies 🥬 and gluten-free grains 🌾, so it feels lighter but still really filling.

The marinade is on point 👌 and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. Plus, it’s such a fun twist on Korean BBQ — perfect for grabbing on the go 🚶‍♂️🌯.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for something tasty and different. Can’t wait to come back and try more! 😋“

“We got the duck combo plus the table-side fried rice and it was quite hefty. Can probably feed a good 4-5 people. The duck is grilled with potatoes, rice cakes, mushrooms, garlic & chives and the combo of everything works well and takes away from the usually gamieness associated with duck. The bean paste dipping sauce was probably my fave. The kimchi fried rice was pretty serious as it even had japchae in it. Combo also includes kimchi pancake, steam egg, corn cheese, bean paste soup. Definitely not your typical Kbbq spot, in a good way, and I dig that they specialize in things like duck and intestines, which I'll be trying on my next visit. Bonus points too for being close by in the South Bay where I live.“

Totally unexpected for just a quick bite we wanted late at night! My pictures don't do it justice because we got takeout but hopefully you can tell how light and crispy it is. Not greasy, the inside is almost creamy not dry at all, perfectly seasoned breading, such that even if you didn't eat it with sauce it would still be delicious!! But we really want to try the kimbap next time because they looked so scrumptious in the photos and they were just like the ones they sell in Korea and have an ideal filling to rice ratio 🤤 as they are supposed to! “Amazing little Korean mom and pop shop in Gardena. The whole restaurant has maybe 4 tables, and when we got there for an early-ish lunch on Saturday, there were no other patrons. The auntie and uncle were very kind and brought us tea and banchan quickly, but the star of the show was the food. Delicious soup that came out quickly along with rice (choice of white or brown) and banchan. Portion sizes are huge!! Definitely get your money's worth here. The parking lot is pretty small and shared with a couple other restaurants. Heads up, the restaurant storefront signage is in Korean only. Will definitely be back to try some other soups!“

“Stopped by here from LAX craving Korean food and was very impressed. This place has authentic, delicious Korean food, and their side dishes are amazing! We ordered their bossam combos with kimchi jjigae and soybean soup, which was a great value. Highly recommend!!“

Also, the bossam was the highlight, so juicy, tender, and when eating with the side of pickled radish, its a perfect combo. Lastly we ordered the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Just as the chicken, amazing. Spicer than the chicken by a tad but amazing taste

We ordered rice with it which probably why we didn’t finish half of the portions of each dish. The employees felt we didn’t like it but we took it home to eat again the following day!

“Korean BBQ all you can eat. Pretty good, haven't been here in awhile...... used to be very cheap, now it's $25/person. Kids 5-7, $10. 8-11, $16. But most places have gone up since covid. No galbi here, just bulgogi, brisket, spicy pork, pork belly, chicken, and beef belly (thin sliced short rib). Not a whole variety but these are the main meats.“

If you like spicy the sauce is perfect numbing flavor. I already want to go back and can’t wait to try the other menu items.
Also if you like purple yam the Goguma latte is very creamy/rich and refreshing.

“I’ve had kimbap before, but I bought the prepackaged ones from grocery stores. I thought they were okay. Then I watched Kpop Demon Hunters and saw Rumi sniffing and swallowing a whole roll, and was like, “Am I missing something?” So my search for freshly made kimbap landed me here.

I was hesitant to go to the Ktown location, and made the 90 minute drive to the Torrance location. At first glance the kimbap looked like any other kimbap. Just with a slightly nicer presentation. But the smell radiating from my to-go bag was permeating my car. The scent of roasted sesame oil. I had to try one before making my long drive back home. It was, in short, very delicious. I can see why Rumi was shoving it down her throat.

I bought the beef and tuna kimbap. The beef had a nice savoriness. While the tuna had a creaminess to it. Both were delicious, but I liked the beef more.

I also just finished my order of tteokbokki, as I’m writing this review. It was spicy, umami, chewy, and paired well with the adobo rice I made. Yes, we are expert big backs over here.

Overall, I really liked their kimbap. Next time I’ll go to their Vermont location since it’s closer 🤤“

“I was going back to the yard to part my semi and I thought I’d get something quick to snack on at the corner store but it wasn’t open. The next thing open beside it was LUCKILY Tokyo Grill! I was hungry and I was going to wait til I got home but I decided to get the chicken bowl because I saw it was 9 bucks. I didn’t expect much as I took it to my truck and man was I blown away. The flavor of the chicken was so delicious and the amount of ingredients they put into the bowl is unbelievable. It had green beans pineapple carrot slices cabbage and some other vegetables. I was amazed for how much food they gave me for the plate only being 9 bucks and they put a lot of chicken in there which was a big plus. I didn’t have to dig around for any chicken.That’s why I’m writing this review, hopefully it helps anyone thinking coming to eat here. Oh and I also had really dirty hands and the lady at the cash register which I believe was part owner, gave me some wipes and was really nice. I’m pretty sure their other dishes are great too. I didn’t take a picture of my food because I was really hungry but it’s worth each penny I wasted.“

“Let's be real, sometimes restaurant names escape me. But when my wife says "Korean soup place with all the Korean senior citizens," I instantly remember she means Tofu Village in Gardena.

Here's the thing: if you walk into a Korean restaurant and it's filled with Korean senior citizens, you know the food is legit. And Tofu Village? It's always bustling with them, which is a testament to the authentic, soul-warming dishes they serve.

Their specialty is Soon Tofu, and it's honestly the best value on the menu. A bubbling hot stone bowl filled with flavorful broth, silky tofu, and your choice of protein (I'm a beef guy, through and through)? It's pure comfort food.

But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the banchan. Those unlimited vegetable side dishes? They're a feast in themselves! Fresh, flavorful, and constantly refilled. And even when you order to go, they don't skimp. They pack up little aluminum foil containers with the best of the bunch, which is a thoughtful touch.

Tofu Village isn't fancy, and it doesn't need to be. It's authentic, delicious, and makes you feel good from the inside out. It's a 5-star experience, and I'll keep coming back for that warm, comforting bowl of Soon Tofu. And those banchan, of course!“

“A nice restaurant for Korean comfort food. The bibimbap was good. It feels less Americanized than most restaurants, which was a good thing. We were a bit sad that the samgye tang didn’t have ginseng in it. I think it might be in the broth when they cook it but we usually get the real ginseng our dish too when ordering this. It was more like somyeon (thin wheat noodles) in kalguksu broth, not what I expected. It started with my misunderstanding, and I appreciate them trying to accommodate my request, but I was completely disappointed as it was a different dish. In my opinion, it would be better if they informed customers that what they requested isn't on the menu.This has been my favorite kalguksu place for a long time. “First time there was today. The portions were good size, and the food was delicious. The waitresses, that waited on us were very polite and asked us every few minutes If we needed anything. My son also liked the cuts of the meats and the sauces were very good along with all the sides. We will definitely be going back again. Also, for desert ice cream. Yum.“
