“Izakaya has some of the best quality fish in Simi Valley. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Was craving some ramen and was about to drive to little Tokyo when I found this little jewel nearby. Food was tasty and knocked my cravings out. I ordered the signature monkey ramen dish and was not disappointed. You can tell the broth had taken a couple days, because it was so rich. I would definitely eat here again.“

“Wanted to try something new in the area and stumbled upon this place for dinner. Overall it was great as there was a huge menu on the wall and the place was well decorated with lanterns with sakura trees. It’s a place where you would come to for something quick. I dined-in since traveling with a bowl of hot udon isn’t ideal. Service was great!
I ordered the Udon with Tempura Shrimp and asked the person at the cashier what they recommend as an appetizer and he stated that the Potstickers were a usual go-to which is what I got. The price for the udon was fairly priced, but maybe not for the potstickers. However, I do understand the economy so it’s reasonable, I guess…
The udon noodles were nicely textured and had 2 pieces of narutomaki (maybe not enough in my opinion). Wasn’t sure what the other things in the udon was but it melted quick. The tempura shrimp are similar to the ones I get at Costco. I believe I was 75% full after eating that complete meal which is a good percentage.“

“We will not return. SOME staff is just too volatile & moody & rude. We have been going here often. The last straw was last Monday at 4:30 pm when the rude Korean waitress Sylvia (?) refused to seat us in the closest booths ( "No those are for employees "🤔) and then refused us another booth because we were only two people. Mind you we've sat at every booth many times every time because of our back issues. Even though I have a cane, she often makes us wait when the place is clearly dead. The only pleasant staff is Manny, Vanessa & the nice female Hispanic bus person. But Sylvia & the very gruff Chinese woman act like they are doing you a huge favor. I have overlooked their rudeness before, but this was it for us. Perhaps she doesn't like people line me with canes. We will go to Kyoto instead or Hai Sushi we do not need to be treated rudely.“

“TUESDAY FOOD REVIEW...HAI SUSHI (again)...3/5/24! Today we went back to Hai Sushi, located at 1101 E Los Angeles Ave., in Simi Valley, for lunch. We have eaten there many times over the years, as their food is always DELICIOUS!!! I had their Miso Soup, Spring Greens Salad, 911 Roll, Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura, Fresh Water Eel, Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, Garlic Edamame, Yellowtail Sushi, and Salmon Sushi. And it was as it always is, fresh and delicious!!!! Definitely Simi Valley's best sushi restaurant!!!“

“They serve up the best savory chicken bowl ever. It is not an overly syrup sweet sauce but savory and soooo good. the veggies are warm and soft. if you want crunchy and sweet, go elsewhere. The flavor here is unique and delicious and they have never changed in like at least 26 years since I started going. Love it. Great for to go or dine in. 🥰“

“The food here is great because it taste fresh. The service is great. The owners are pleasant but not overly engaging. They are very prompt to pick up dirty dishes and refill drinks. The Tepan chefs are talented and funny! We go here often and the leftovers are fantastic.“

“The food and selections were really yummy. We walked here for dinner quite a ways so I was so hungry I forgot to take photographs of the food, but the portions were excellent. The best part about this place is the staff. There were three people working and they were incredibly friendly, but not phony friendly.“

“Incredible food, great service in a very nice atmosphere. Unassuming, but well crafted with care right in front of you. Very small restaurant with only 7 seats, and reservations are required since he is booked months in advance. Already have my next reservation on the books!“

“Our bowls had the perfect amount of protein, vegetables, rice, and sauce for the size selected. We had a much better experience compared to other chains serving similar food, and we'll return due to the superior portions, flavor, freshness, and quality!“

“Waba grill is one of those places where you are bound to be happy with a rice plate. My favorite go to is the half chicken and half beef plate. Both meats are too good to choose from. They also have a new value menu which makes some of the plates a bit more affordable. You are bound to spend about $10+ but it is worth it.Make sure to get extra waba sauce on the side as you may need it.“

“Love this place! Found it in late March and have been gone almost every weekend! Great quality and value on the all you can eat option. The iPad makes it really easy to order and check the menu. Went for my birthday and took my mom for Mother’s Day. Highly recommend!“

“The food here at Tokyo sushi is so amazingly delicious. Each dish was like a masterpiece the flavors exploded in my mouth it was so delectable I’d come back here anytime. The waiter was a young man and He was very professional and classy. He is very commendable for someone of his young age. The sushi that I got was so incredibly fresh that I nearly thought I was in the ocean. It felt like I just dipped my feet in the waters. Now if you’re reading this review and you’re still thinking of whether you should go or not don’t think twice just go it’s called Tokyo sushi for a reason.“
