“I can’t rave enough about Carruth Cellars and the incredible experience they gave us. My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner there on July 12th, and from start to finish, it was exceptional. As a bride who was stressed out and frazzled, I mixed up the dates in our contract and accidentally booked for the wrong day. When we showed up in a panic, the team at Carruth Cellars didn’t miss a beat.
They went out of their way to accommodate us, transforming the space and clearing it out in just one hour. I was floored by their efficiency and grace under pressure. Nick immediately jumped in to help rearrange the tables and clear the area, and Hayley, the event manager, arrived swiftly to make sure everything was in place. Throughout the chaos, their kindness and professionalism were a true comfort to me and my family.
Carruth Cellars is already a beautiful venue, but it’s the warm, supportive staff that makes it truly special. Whether you're planning an event or just stopping by for a great glass of wine, Carruth Cellars is a place you’ll want to visit.
And if you’re wondering what to try, our personal favorites—and those of our guests—were the Rosé and Sangiovese. They were simply delightful!“

“The bacon is a must, and the wine selection is well priced. The steak is well sourced, bone in dry aged ny strip was recommended, it was fine. Overly salted and undercooked, but nice quality and the service was strong. Would go back. Note that the only bathroom is a public one, and to go bags are on a requested basis, so prepare to lay your leftover Wagyu by the padlocked door.“

“Great coffee, great food, and service adequate, the feedback is to clean up the outside and keep it clean. Pressure wash the spills and such, pickup trash, maintain the flower beds, etc. It's not bad, but ciedros kind of demands you step it up and keep it perfect. And your entry walkway has two tables sitting in it, making it inconvenient to access the place. The dog water bowl outside was empty and dirty. If I'm the owner, that patio area is clean, easy to access, and colorful because Lofty down the street is.“

“The best specialty coffee roaster in San Diego! You can tell they have great relationships with their farmers and care about their products. Coffee always tastes great in the shop and when I bring bags of beans home. I’m always taking friends here to try some good coffee. 😊“

“Claire's Too is a convenient to-go coffee shop and more, located right next door to Claire's on Cedros in Solana Beach, California. Both establishments are charming and situated just a couple of blocks from Fletcher's Cove, making it a great spot to grab a coffee or snack before heading to the beach, which is exactly what I did.
I decided to get a turkey panini, although I was very tempted by the delicious-looking pastries. The menu mentioned that the turkey panini included cranberries and deli mustard, but neither was on my sandwich. When I inquired about it, the lady at the counter seemed a bit annoyed but did go to the main restaurant to get me a side. Unfortunately, she only returned with cranberry sauce and no deli mustard, which was disappointing. Additionally, the turkey did not fully cover the bread, leaving a quarter of it as plain toasted bread. Despite these issues, the sandwich was tasty enough.
Overall, Claire's Too is a good spot for a quick bite or coffee, but be mindful of potential discrepancies with menu descriptions. The staff's response could have been more accommodating, but the quality of the food was satisfactory. I would still recommend giving it a try, especially for their beverages and pastries.
Additional Information:
Great location near Fletcher's Cove for a beach day.
Offers a small picnic area for a quick outdoor snack.
Variety of specialty coffees, snacks, and pastries available.
Check your order for accuracy, as some ingredients might be missing.
The main restaurant next door, Claire's on Cedros, is also worth a visit for a more extensive dining experience.
Parking: Huge free parking lot across the street, but can fill up as it is a stop for the train.“
“Amazing experience. I’m not a big IPA guy which can make finding tasting rooms with choices for me kinda hard in North County. Culture had 3 standout beers for me. The Bock, the Brown Ale and La Cerveza (which when translated means a whale’s… oh never mind).
The patio area is awesome for larger groups and they had a BBQ food partner that is simply the best I think I’ve ever had in the area. Mad love to Skillaz Grill & Smoke.
The owner and his family were hanging out. Super nice people. Love supporting local family owned businesses like this.
We will be back.“

“A friend took me here for lunch. We had our dogs with us at the Del Mar dog Beach so we needed a place where they are welcomed. This place was perfect with shaded outdoor seating, free dog treats, and a water bowl.
We ordered at the front counter and food was brought to our table. We found a table in the back.
The drinks were delicious. My friends really like their matcha tea drink. The superfood bowl was quite big too. The croissant turkey sandwich I got was delicious as well. We were all pretty happy with what we ordered.
There is a small parking lot at the restaurant. I was lucky enough to nab the last spot. My friends weren't so lucky and had to seek parking elsewhere on the very busy Cedros Ave.“
“Sushi Florist Patrick crafts an exquisite culinary experience, featuring unique delights like Kama toro sashimi, Kogashima A5 Kobe Sando on Japanese milk bread, his signature desert Crispy Burnt Unagi with Nutella Eel sauce, and much more. Engaging with his artisan work is truly unforgettable. Personally, Patrick is extremely warm and charismatic.“

“Walking up to this juicery for the first time I was very curious.
Upon entering I noticed that the staff was very friendly and welcoming as well as the environment. There were many choices and options on the menu. When I got my order it was a very good size portion and had plenty of flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the PB&J bowl! As well as the Acai bowl!“

“Fun little spot a block from Fletcher's Cove Beach. The parking lot between the bar and the beach is open to the public on nights and weekends, there were several spots available. The bar room is cute and small with nice bar top booths lining the walls. Of course they have golden tee, sorry for the pun. Haven't been in years, it has changed a lot. Used to be called the Surf and Saddle and it had more of a country theme. It was a little rougher, where it has a cigar bar feel now.
The bartender was friendly, good pour, and it was pretty lively with people coming and going and a dog sitting at the bar ?“
“Local Roots Solana Beach: clean, modern, and friendlier than a dog at a barbecue! Work or play, have it your way with rotating kombucha and chef's sushi menu. Wifi, TVs and indoor outdoor space make it ideal for people watching or mingling. Just a heads up, it's a bit pricer with fewer options than nearby spots like Station Sushi, but hey, quality ain't cheap! ?? ??
Also agree with other reviewers, James is a cool guy. ?“

“These guys are awesome! I was in a time crunch and asked if they could recommend me something that could get me out in time for my train. They not only got it out with plenty of time to spare, it’s delicious, extremely well priced, and loved the whole kitchens hustle. Great atmosphere, families, couples, a mixed crowd- all great vibes. The bartender recommended a wonderful strawberry marshmallow sour and all around it was great for a Friday afternoon stop. 10/10“

“I stumbled upon T's Cafe this morning for breakfast, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The Eggs Benedict were simply fantastic, perfectly poached eggs. But what really stole the show was their Bloody Mary—it was hands down the best I've ever had. It had just the right amount of spice and tanginess to wake up my taste buds. The service here was exceptional too. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for a delightful atmosphere.Overall, T's Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're in the mood for a delicious breakfast served with a side of warmth and hospitality, look no further. My new favorite spot.“

“I went to the Solana Beach location when it first opened and visited yesterday to find they moved two doors down to a bigger and better location. More salad selection and plates (like Upper Plates) were offered. It was fantastic! I had the Ahi Salad which was delicious! The greens were delicious and the toppings were very good. The wasabi sauce drizzled on top was excellent.“

“I ordered sashimi at the sushi bar for lunch also had 2 piece Ikura (salmon roe) and a soft shell crab appetizer. Fish was very fresh it was obvious since they were still breaking it down in front of me. 2 guys on the sushi bar 3 in the back and one waitress. I was probably 2nd customer and only person at the bar. I got a weird look from waitress when I asked for the bar and she had to ask one of the guys if it was ok. I soon realized that it was not a real sushi bar after I looked at the menu and realized that they did not have sashimi on the menu.
When I go to a new place I usually order sashimi before I look at a menu because I know what I want.
The place filled up quick and the one waitress was running hard but the guys at the bar took care of me. Fresh fish good beer and sake I was very happy.
Music was very loud and irritating some kind of pop but the guys had no problem turning it down (they did not like it either).
I found it strange that they were pre-cutting the fish into slices but I guess if you are doing production that makes sense, I just have never seen it.
I read a lot of the reviews and part of the problem is people going to a sushi bar for something other than sushi. On the other hand if a restaurant is going to offer it it should be good.
Spent $120 after tip but it was at the coast on pch so location and all. Not to much more than my normal spot maybe $20 or so.
I was happy with my dining experience.“

“We live to combine a home at Annie's canyon down the street with a visit to Claire's before or after.
I joined the wait-list on Google maps as I was driving there. Checked into the hostess stand after I was able to score the last spot in their small parking lot behind the restaurant. There is plenty of parking across the street.
Service was good and we were there at noon for lunch. It was busy but there were still plenty of empty tables out on their back patio. We had a little wait for our food orders and they came out at different times.
We ordered the salmon and peach salad and the veggie sandwich. The salad was very fresh and delicious. The veggie sandwich wasn't a hit so we don't recommend that dish. High stack of fresh vegetables but tasteless.“
