“This is my favorite steakhouse in the area. Calling it a steakhouse does it a bit of a disservice. First off everytime I go the service is impeccable. The staff has always been friendly and relaxed. They are also very knowledgeable about the entire menu. The staff understands what makes the place unique. All steaks are prepared over an open flame that is field by red oak. The flavor of the oak really comes through each bite of meat and is a truly unique experience. They have two platters that I can not recommend enough.
Associate platter: 3 cuts of steak
Executive platter: 5 cuts of steak
The platter comes out on a rotating tray so everyone at your table can spin the board to pick up what they want. The steaks are sliced before they come to your table, but the chef lets them rest appropriately and it does not detract from flavor or juiciness in the slightest.
The associate is perfect for two people. We have finished the executive with only two people but it's a LOT of food for two people! Their wine and cocktail list is good. I would like to see some expansion of their beer selection, as they usually only have two beers available. But they are always local beers and are very good picks! I really can't say enough good stuff about this place. It's my favorite place to take people visiting from the city.“
“I can’t rave enough about Carruth Cellars and the incredible experience they gave us. My husband and I held our rehearsal dinner there on July 12th, and from start to finish, it was exceptional. As a bride who was stressed out and frazzled, I mixed up the dates in our contract and accidentally booked for the wrong day. When we showed up in a panic, the team at Carruth Cellars didn’t miss a beat.
They went out of their way to accommodate us, transforming the space and clearing it out in just one hour. I was floored by their efficiency and grace under pressure. Nick immediately jumped in to help rearrange the tables and clear the area, and Hayley, the event manager, arrived swiftly to make sure everything was in place. Throughout the chaos, their kindness and professionalism were a true comfort to me and my family.
Carruth Cellars is already a beautiful venue, but it’s the warm, supportive staff that makes it truly special. Whether you're planning an event or just stopping by for a great glass of wine, Carruth Cellars is a place you’ll want to visit.
And if you’re wondering what to try, our personal favorites—and those of our guests—were the Rosé and Sangiovese. They were simply delightful!“

“Barefoot Coffee is a total gem right on Cedros - cool vibe, great people-watching, and even better drinks. The lavender latte and matcha were both on point and delicious. For breakfast, we had the avocado mash with egg and the breakfast tacos - both solid choices that hit the spot. Chill, tasty, and fun spot for a morning coffee and breakfast with family.“

“The best specialty coffee roaster in San Diego! You can tell they have great relationships with their farmers and care about their products. Coffee always tastes great in the shop and when I bring bags of beans home. I’m always taking friends here to try some good coffee. 😊“

“Shout out to Mac Williamson for his help in updating my logo and hooking me up with a company that provided a table runner quickly and inexpensively. Now I'm ready to exhibit at the SD Festival of Books!“
“After playing pickleball for a few hours we were ready for a drink. It was a little late and these guys were open a little later so we went here. They have a great menu, I had the 3 Citrus Gose, which won gold at the Great American Beer Festival, and it definitely deserved it! He went for the Blackberry Hibiscus Sour and that was also phenomenal. They have food out back so we had a pepperoni pizza and it was just a great way to end the evening. Larry was lots of fun to talk to, from beer to baseball to music he has stories. Definitely a great place to hang out if you're in the area!“

“Hands down the best breakfast spot in Solana Beach! Excellent service and a great variety of tasty & healthy menu options. Some of our favorites are the Crispy Burritos, Huevos Rancheros, Banana/Blackberry Pancakes and Green Heart Quesadilla. 10/10 would recommend, much better than Claire's IMO.“

“Sushi Florist Patrick crafts an exquisite culinary experience, featuring unique delights like Kama toro sashimi, Kogashima A5 Kobe Sando on Japanese milk bread, his signature desert Crispy Burnt Unagi with Nutella Eel sauce, and much more. Engaging with his artisan work is truly unforgettable. Personally, Patrick is extremely warm and charismatic.“

“Many breakfast options to choose from. Vegan options as well. If you can't find parking on the street of this restaurant, then park on the street behind. Free street parking. Fletcher Cove Park is near this restaurant. Excellent service. They don't rush you.“

“This place is great! We tried a few other coffee places in the area and this was by far the best coffee (not too sweet and great flavor). Everyone was super nice and gracious. We had the açaí bowl, toasted quickie, and flower child. All were top notch. Salted caramel latte was yummy as was the Turkish latte and regular latte.“

“What's not to love about this place? I always have a pleasant time here. The bartenders and fellow patrons are awesome.
Very chill during the day and gets crowded at night--especially during the open mic nights, which are epic.“

“I simply do not understand the other reviewers saying the food and/or service was subpar. My husband and I were there on an anniversary trip from Atlanta and this was a SUPER fun lunch stop as we were out walking Solana Beach. There’s even the tiniest view of the ocean from the front porch bar seats. The customer service was INCREDIBLE. We were served our food quickly even though there were several other customers at the same time. Food portions were very generous. The owner took time to talk to us personally and was incredibly friendly. Seriously one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a “shack” and that’s the vibe they are going for and it totally works. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Not sure what else you could ask for from a fast food establishment. Don’t pass by! Definitely give it a try! It’s something unique. Not just another burger, taco or chicken sandwich. And be sure to talk to Sindi if she’s there. She’s just lovely to chat with. Recommend 10/10!!“

“Hey Solana Beach Travelers and Explorers..Looking for a Indoor/Outdoor Brunch Location that serves up some delicious Food? Friendly Service? And an inviting atmosphere? Then look no further than T's Cafe!
The French toast looked like it was out of Dream. I had the Chilaquiles. I love the Color of the chips and the Taste of the meat. I wish it was a little larger for the price. Yet, it was still good. The Biscuits and gravy were not our cup of tea. But everything else was wonderful.
What made our visit over the top was the very personal and excellent customer service given to us by our Waiter Uziel. He was very friendly and attended to us often. Even when I discovered a foreign object in my plate, he apologized for the error and took care of it promptly. Additionally he spoke very fluent English and Spanish! Also a big thanks to Jessica and the rest of the team for the Killer service!
Dont miss out, T's has the Vibes and the goods you are all looking for! Cheers and GOD BLESS!“

The Mac n Cheese with brisket was a recommendation from the fabulous Tracy and it was incredibly delicious. Everything was so good that we returned the next night!! Highly recommend SB Kitchen.“

“Walking up to this juicery for the first time I was very curious.
Upon entering I noticed that the staff was very friendly and welcoming as well as the environment. There were many choices and options on the menu. When I got my order it was a very good size portion and had plenty of flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the PB&J bowl! As well as the Acai bowl!“
“Local Roots Solana Beach: clean, modern, and friendlier than a dog at a barbecue! Work or play, have it your way with rotating kombucha and chef's sushi menu. Wifi, TVs and indoor outdoor space make it ideal for people watching or mingling. Just a heads up, it's a bit pricer with fewer options than nearby spots like Station Sushi, but hey, quality ain't cheap! ?? ??
Also agree with other reviewers, James is a cool guy. ?“

“Comfy out of the way coffee house, snack bar, picnic or train snacks venue. All they need is wine and you’ll be all set for jumping the train to LA or heading over to the beach (literally across the street!).
Their coffee is the best! Strong flavorful and complex without bitterness. And you can buy beans right there! Pastries taste house made, same-day fresh with real cream cheese frosting. Delicious pastries with perfect“chew” and not dried out at all. Lots and lots of variety in the cases from sandwiches, to wraps, to burritos, to pastries cakes and cookies! Their drink selection is awesome too. Any espresso drink you might want (except no Flat White), including cold brew, and alternative drinks (like French lemonade), and traditional sodas too.
There is a lot of outdoor shaded seating available all around, including a large patio directly across with lovely raised succulent gardens, comfortable tables and chairs and even heaters for chilly morning.
This little gem is located just north of the restaurant and directly across N Cedros from the north end of the train/Coaster parking lot. So lots of easy parking available.
Honestly, I’m hesitant to post this review because we want to keep it a secret for ourselves.😎😎
One less star for OK service. Efficient and fast, but not very friendly. I like to feel like the staff are glad I’m there spending my money. Of course we will try again another day, and I’ll upgrade my service star if improved. Maybe they were just not having a good day.“

“Loved this spot! I did not expect them to have vegan options but they were able to do any pizza with vegan cheese and the staff helped me find a delicious option (the laguna) with lots of veggies! The pizza was delicious and I loved the crust! Staff was very friendly and helpful and in general it was a great vibe inside and out“

“I ordered sashimi at the sushi bar for lunch also had 2 piece Ikura (salmon roe) and a soft shell crab appetizer. Fish was very fresh it was obvious since they were still breaking it down in front of me. 2 guys on the sushi bar 3 in the back and one waitress. I was probably 2nd customer and only person at the bar. I got a weird look from waitress when I asked for the bar and she had to ask one of the guys if it was ok. I soon realized that it was not a real sushi bar after I looked at the menu and realized that they did not have sashimi on the menu.
When I go to a new place I usually order sashimi before I look at a menu because I know what I want.
The place filled up quick and the one waitress was running hard but the guys at the bar took care of me. Fresh fish good beer and sake I was very happy.
Music was very loud and irritating some kind of pop but the guys had no problem turning it down (they did not like it either).
I found it strange that they were pre-cutting the fish into slices but I guess if you are doing production that makes sense, I just have never seen it.
I read a lot of the reviews and part of the problem is people going to a sushi bar for something other than sushi. On the other hand if a restaurant is going to offer it it should be good.
Spent $120 after tip but it was at the coast on pch so location and all. Not to much more than my normal spot maybe $20 or so.
I was happy with my dining experience.“

“Great service, great atmosphere. Food disappointed a bit. I had Eggs Benedict which came on English muffins that were both burned on one side and hollandaise sauce that was surprisingly bland. Still, I go back and back, it's a fun place and there's lots of other choices on the menu to try.“
