“Gayle's Bakery has great food and service. I have been there more times then I can count and everytime it has been great. It can be difficult to find a place to sit and that's only because the place is that good.
Tonight my wife and I went for some food and desserts to take to go. We were helped by Brandon and he has great customer service, positive attitude and able to handle high volume of customers. I recommend going to Gayle's if you are in the area and wants some good food for anytime of the day.“

Sure, Zachary's is fantastic, but waiting for a seat and having a full sit down meal isn't always an option if you want to get to the monthly vintage fair before the crowds. Grab your bagel melt to-go and eat as you walk. Or, my personal favorite- the lox deluxe, but be sure to sub their house made pickled onions and grab a Natalie's Orchard juice to go with it.“

“Emozioni Pasticceria made our wedding pastries and they were so delicious and perfect! We decided not to do a cake but do small pastries instead, and they were such a hit! We did a tasting where Chef Enzo prepared multiple pastries based on our preference. We ended up choosing the tarimisu, tart, cannoli, and cream puff. I wanted the pastries to have an Iranian flare, and although this is a traditional Italian bakery, Chef Enzo incorporated some Iranian flavors perfectly. Chef Enzo and Dan were so great and easy to work with. We will be going back often and ordering all our sweets from them from now on!“

“Stopped in this mall tired in the evening on a long drive, desparately in need of a coffee. I happened to meet the owner Sherri as they were wrapping up for the day. She could have said no, we're closing, we're all out of coffee, but she made me the LAST cup of coffee in the entire mall at any restaurant inside, and dressed up with cream and sugar exactly how I asked. She gave me a free sample of her cookies while waiting, said it will be 2.95 for the coffee. I handed her my credit card and said PLEASE charge me extra for your fantastic service and hospitality, I don't have cash for the tip jar right now, at least charge 7 or 8 bucks if Starbucks wants that much!

...She refused to take any extra of my money above the $3. And that cookie was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had in my life. Thank you so much Sherri! “As a vegan, finding a truly delicious birthday cake is tough to find. But Black China Bakery outdid themselves! My husband ordered the vegan raspberry chocolate cake for my 64th and it's the best I've had in a long time. Kaitlin outdid herself with the decorating as well. As a long time vegan cook and baker, I'm not sure how she manages such a delicious frosting, but it was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Black China Bakery. They were kind, accommodating to my husband's requests and all around a business that deserves our support.“

“This shop has been a gift to Felton for decades. Come here early if you can! The fresh donuts are delicious, and the owner is incredibly welcoming and kind to customers. We tried a fresh maple bar right after it came out of the oven, and it was the best I'd ever had. The other items we tried (glazed donut, old fashioned donut, and blueberry fritter) were also excellent.“

“My store. Been going to the Scotts Valley Safeway for 13 years now. Rarely been disappointed. When I have been disappointed, they have never hesitated to rectify the situation. When they have had to rectify a situation, they have never hesitated to make it make it better. Great store with a great staff. This particular store and the people who maintain it not only serve the Scotts Valley community, but also have people coming all the way from the East and West Santa Cruz communities. Interesting thing about that is, both of those communities already have a Safeway store readily available. Those people actually choose to drive to Scotts Valley to shop. One of the managers, Kelly, is an absolute gift from Heaven. Scotts Valley Safeway rocks!!!

I never ever finish my breakfast but this was so good I did and finished before the hubby-lol! And the bill was $37.00. “Stopped into Companion Bakeshop Aptos and had a much-needed experience. The staff were friendly, and the barista who made my flat white did an amazing job — absolutely nailed the espresso pull. The coffee had rich notes of chocolate (my favorite), and the milk froth was smooth, silky, and perfectly balanced.

The pastries looked incredible — and it’s clear why this place is known for them. I wasn’t in the mood for one this time, but I’ll definitely be back to try them out. The space is quaint and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and I loved being able to watch the pastries being made in the back corner of the shop.

If I’m ever in Aptos again, this will be my go-to spot for a morning flat white.“

“I might recommend this place for its pies & pastries, but not their coffee offerings. I guess they don’t get many requests for mochas because what I got was mostly milk with a splash of coffee & zero chocolate. Getting it iced costs another 50¢, which I’ve never seen before. They really don’t promote their coffee beverages, so…. Hopefully your experience will be better.“

“Came to Ferrell's twice for breakfast sandwiches during a recent stay at the Four Points Sheraton just a 3 minute walk away. - It's a tiny little place that felt like a throwback to a bygone era. Simple, cute, clean, and charming. Had good service from the same nice gentleman both times I was there. If you're looking for some simple morning fare while staying nearby, I would definitely recommend you check out this Ferrell's location.“
