Christmas eve i noticed a voicemail from the day before I missed from them saying they needed my credit card number to refund my order for 50 tamales since i cancelled the order. Almost lost my mind since i did not cancel my order and had already paid them $200 two weeks prior for 4 dozen tamales and had 50 people coming to my house in an hour and my husband was already on the way to get the order. Had to call a couple times to get a resolution and a lot of back and forth and being told they didn’t have any order for me. Luckily they did have my food and got a cancellation mixed up with mine but i needed a blood pressure monitor after that.“

“This Ferrell's is a staple on the days when a perfect doughnut is needed. The entire staff welcome everyone as if they are family. They know what I'm looking for before I even get up to the counter, and it is nice to be greeted with such friendliness each time. 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast.“

“After sampling a number of pies from Northern California area bakeries, Beckmann's is the best. The fillings are great, especially the peach in the summer and pumpkin in the fall, but the crust...the crust!! All-butter and perfect flaky texture. The cookies are great, too.“

Honor system for payments so it’s best to have the correct change (or give a little more, why not... you’ve saved it!). “I found Rebecca's muffins at Campbell farmers market. They are so delicious and you can't really tell whether they are sugar free, soy free, gluten free and vegan. I have some health problem so I have to be on an anti inflammatory diet and I just look forward to every Sunday where I can go buy her muffins. God bless her!“

“Sherri’s Cookies! If you have been to the Capitola Mall then you may have seen these guys or even tried them yourself. They have these little TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookies and mini snickerdoodles. I love just grabbing a few since they are small.I needed to grab a sweet treat one day and stopped here while waiting for another order nearby. They had just baked some fresh cinnamon roll twists that were not even frosted yet. I got two of them to go and they were so delicious and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.Everyone who works here is super-nice and always helpful. Check them out if you're at the mall and have a sweet tooth.“

“As a vegan, finding a truly delicious birthday cake is tough to find. But Black China Bakery outdid themselves! My husband ordered the vegan raspberry chocolate cake for my 64th and it's the best I've had in a long time. Kaitlin outdid herself with the decorating as well. As a long time vegan cook and baker, I'm not sure how she manages such a delicious frosting, but it was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Black China Bakery. They were kind, accommodating to my husband's requests and all around a business that deserves our support.“

“BEST BAGEL PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ. Bagels are fresher and larger than Bagelry. Portions are bigger and cheaper than the Bagelry. You get more stuff on your bagel without having to pay extra, which unfortunately is the case at the Bagelry. I always get a Lox sandwich with capers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber already included in the price which is $7. At the Bagelry when I order a Lox sandwich, I get a stale bagel twice smaller and I have to pay extra for capers and tomatoes- $13 total, which does not have any lettuce or cucumber in it. House of Bagels is the best bang for your buck and has the tastiest bagels around. (Pic is what I took to-go this morning)“

“Omg - I stumbled upon this bakery not even knowing it was here, and it is delicious! The chocolate flan was a chocolate cake base and a flan on top with a little chocolate frosting. It was really tasty. The strawberry macaron was to DIE for. I want to try the raspberry one next. And the apricot tart was so yummy. Next time I go to this area, I will absolutely be stopping by here for a sweet treat!“

“Felton donuts was good, nothing extremely special about it. Just like any other donut shop you would go to. The place was clean and organized and the staff was very polite. Will I go here again. Yes cause either way this is the only donut shop in Felton, the nearest besides this is 6.8 miles ?“

“Cruise Coffee Company has the most delectable eats, smooth coffee and flavorful tea options, all made locally and specially for the shops. Their prices are surprisingly low and you truly get a wonderful value for the best cup of coffee or tea AND the most amazing baked goods around.“

“Perfectly poached eggs on a bed of arugula was a flavor delight. Everything was exceptionally fresh and delicious for both of our meals including the Guatemalan coffee that was served. I had to ask about the coffee beans, because it was so good.
The entire staff is friendly and very kind, making our visit totally satisfying.

“I’m local! I love that they have VEGAN snacks. This place is definitely a small business with tons of great items. They carry a lot of higher end brands and vegan options whether you want a frozen pizza, pint of ice cream, frozen beyond burgers and dogs, vegan jerky, produce or just munchie foods! You can get a bottle of organic wine or a case of beer here as well. A little pricey, but expected as it’s all about location, location, location! Right next to seascape resort, so if you’re staying there, it’s an easy walk. If you live here, you’re driving 12 or 15 minutes to get to a big grocery store. I love this place! The owners are super nice and welcoming. They have great sandwiches! I do wish for more clearly marked vegan deli options, but I wish that about everywhere. -duh?“

“My espresso was the best I had all week in Aptos. (They use cat & cloud’s coffee I believe I saw.) I didn’t order any food from them BUT I did order their vegan cinnamon cake when I went into Loft Coffee the next day and it was one of the better vegan coffee cakes I have had. I do not recommend eating in the car unless you have plans vacuuming sooner than later.

They sell their day old bread at like half price btw.“
