“We stopped in to Monster Hot Chicken on a Friday evening and it was empty aside from one guy. The place is small and has room for about 8-10 guests to eat. The menu is pretty straightforward without a lot of options to clutter things. You can basically order a 2 piece chicken tender combo, 2 piece tender sandwich or a 1 piece tender combo 1 piece tender sandwich... there's some salad options and noodles as well. We got the 2 piece tender combo and the 2 piece tender sandwich with the spice level of Hot. My husband said he would have gone up to a higher spice level and I enjoyed the hot but would probably go down a level next time as my stomach hurt a bit the next day. We initially wanted to order the family meal but you're only allowed to choose one flavor for the entire family... some of us like it super spicy and some don't so we ended up having to order two original chicken tenders on the side so our son could eat as well. Really wish you could have multiple flavors in that, which is really why I'm deducting a star. It also took a bit of time for the chicken to be prepared, but the flavor and juiciness makes up for that. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist inside so it was a good combo. I did really enjoy this place, but just not the stomachache the next day so if/when I return, I'll probably go down to the mild. The workers (who I assume were also the owners) were very nice and gracious as well!“

The sauce is delicious but it's very water and paper underlayment got messed with chicken pieces, not a great experience.Would come back for the food but will stick to take-out only.“

“My experience at Dave's hot chicken was good. The staff are extremely friendly and social and the atmosphere is warm and exiting with amazing outdoor seating. Me and my peer got a soft drink, fries, tenders, and a chicken slider all of them extra spicy. Extra spicy is like a 7/10 for me (my spice tolerance is kinda mid but better than the average). The fries and chicken were crunchy but the food is quite greasy. Chicken is heavily seasoned. We went finished the food at around 1 pm and our stomachs started hurting. Its 10:35 PM right now and my stomach still hurted. Both had an irritated stomachand I had to take medicine for the pain to go away. Overall, would reccomend to people that can take the spice and are enjoyers of heavily seasoned and greasy foods. However, people who cannot tolerate spice, grease, and HEAAAVILY seasons foods should not come here. Praying for anyone who's stomach gets upset by this chicken ????“
“I did not really eat Korean food during my 2 weeks in Japan, so I was craving Korean food. I've known of the bb.q Chicken chain for a while now, and I saw they had a branch in Alhambra. I cannot eat a ton of fried chicken on my own, but I saw that this restaurant had other dishes as well. I decided to come here and give bb.q Chicken a try.They had a free soda with Yelp check in. My wife got a diet coke, and I ordered water. The restaurant gives complimentary pickled radishes. The staff are very nice and friendly.My wife ordered the tteokbokki, whereas I got the kimchi fried rice. I was torn between the fried rice and the bulgogi poutine, but I also knew I wanted rice, so I got the kimchi fried rice. My wife and I shared our dishes. The tteokbokki was good, sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were a nice texture. The kimchi fried rice was also solid, but a bit spicy for me.Given how close it is to me, I will definitely come back in the future to try their fried chicken.“

“The shrimp walnut on bun is a little dry. Unlike the chicken, looks like the shrimp patty is probably premade or from frozen. It's a little dry and not very juicy or bouncy. The sauce is sweet, so if you like sweet-ish sandwiches this is for you, if not then probably won't like it. The chicken sandwich was spot on. Should stick with chicken. Looks like the place is popular with family with kids. Not a ton of tables inside but they were all occupied.“

The only issue with this location is the seating area, and the front door needs to be fixed as it locks open and lets in the freeway smells. I recommend the spicy chicken with the mac and cheese. “My first visit to this location. They ran out of menus, cups, and didn't have any desserts. I decided to try the chicken chili cheese fries. On the menu he had the option to add cut pieces of chicken on top for an additional fee. I opt out of the chicken on top just wanted chili and cheese. When my food arrived they put the chicken on top instead of sending it back I just tried it. The fries where okay I removed the chicken off the top because it just didn't taste right to me. I would have to try them again with extra cheese because they where sort of skimpy with the cheese. Their sunset drink is good though. No refills on specialty drinks so be prepared to pay.“

It melts in your mouth immediately and has great flavor.“

“Dined in at 2pm on a Friday and there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. I was greeted by the worker at the register. She asked if I was dining in or take out and I told her "dine in." I was seated and given the menu, plates, utensils, and even pickled radish right away. I took some time to study the menu and both workers checked in to see if I wanted any recommendations. One of the guys was very knowledgeable about the wing sauces and the menu but I didn't get his name. Eventually I gave them my order and I waited about 5 minutes and my food came out one at a time. Cheesling Fries (9/10) - The cheese powder on the fries were amazing! It wasn't too overpowering or too cheesy. The fries were hot and crispy. They even drizzle it in the secret sauce. It was very well balanced together. Rose Ddeok-Bokki (8/10) - The first few bites tasted like it needed more seasoning and flavor. The more I ate it, the better it got. It was not spicy for me and it was a great combination of creamy with a small but of tang. The rice cakes were soft and chewy. It was also very delicious overall.Secret Sauce Wings (8.5/10) - The chicken wings were very fresh. The batter was still crispy and the sauce was sweet, tangy, and sticky. It reminded me of my favorite childhood Chinese dish, Peking Pork Chop or sweet and sour pork chop. It did get soggy once the wings sat too long. Soy Garlic Wings (7.5/10) - The soy flavor overpowered the garlic in these wings but overall a really solid choice. The wings were also hot and crispy with a sweet and salty sauce. Overall, the food is 8/10. The service was 10/10. They checked in with me at least every 10-15 minutes. They gave me napkins without asking for it. I had a very pleasant experience!“

Everyone always ends up asking me where did I buy the chicken from. The family running the business here is always welcoming and always accommodating. I live far now but each time i come to La Puente I always make sure to leave with some Juan's Rotisserie Pollo.“

I appreciated that the cashier I talked to kindly and clearly repeated my order. I ordered the half-and-half meal: boneless kang jung and fried chicken with sweet & spicy sauce on the side. I also bought a side of coleslaw. The boneless kang jung had a deliciously sweet, savory, and spicy flavor with a few bits of chewy tteokbokki. I enjoyed how each piece took multiple bites to finish. My family also really liked the original Furai chicken. The seasoning and spices blended well to make the chicken a high-quality meal. Furai serves about 16 types of flavors, so next time, I'd order ones that taste more different for a half-and-half meal.Each box also came with a few potato wedges, but I found them not crispy enough for my liking. The kang jung box had jalapeños and pickled radish. The coleslaw side's small portion size, however, made buying it next time not worth it. My family agreed that it also tasted too salty. Complementing the order with baked french fries and rice made the meal feel complete. We didn't have any leftovers this time, but I felt really full. I don't have many comments about the ambience, but when I picked up my food, it looked cozy and clean without any customers. It even had an indoor air purifier, which I rarely see in restaurants. That's a big plus, and I respect when any business cares about its indoor air quality. Also, I appreciated that the cashier recited my order again before I received my food for takeout. The meal for two was good for us to enjoy the next day for lunch as well.
