“Everything is 5 out of 5. Got a few selections and honestly would go everyday, if they don't break my bank. All pastry is full of layers, crispy, flaky. Anything with filling are perfect sweetness and smoothness. They are all big size. Makes a satisfying eat. Coffee is nice and smooth. Staffs are really nice, friendly, and helpful. They have 1 outdoor table. Nice, quiet, and spacious enough to hang comfortably with my dog. Parking in the street or structure. It is pasadena.“

“I highly recommend Yvonne‘s vegan kitchen. Yvonne has some of the best desserts, breads, and pastries that you can’t find anywhere else. I literally drive from Orange County all the way out to Pasadena because her desserts and bread are so amazing. Yvonne goes above and beyond and she is a very kind-hearted Soul and I would not want to put my money into any other business. “What a delightful bakery and coffee shop! I stumbled upon this gem looking around Chinatown for some boba. Their drinks are on the steeper side but they are so good!! Even the cups are cute. I saved my cup after the boba cause the quality of it is so well made that I have to use it again. For 2 milk tea bobas it was $11.They specialize in custom cakes and had a few on display that were mind blowing. The Hello Kitty goth cake was next level.You can find baked treats, custards, mini cakes, and snow ice here ☺️?There’s some seating inside and along the window a few tables and chairs. It’s a delightful spot to look out and gaze at busy Chinatown.Parking is available along the streets in metered spots.Everyone working there was super nice and the service was fast despite the line.“

“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

“This bakery was doing free, Easter cookie decorating kits for the kids. The presentation for the kids was really above and beyond but the real gem was the gentleman behind the counter. He was super nice and interacted with the kids in a really great way. I can’t wait to come back here again.“

“I came here to try the cakes. We got the sampler box and was so impressed with the cakes itself. They were extremely tasty, flavorful and rich with flavor. The service was great. It was a small little place with some seating outside. There is also a coffee shop next door if you want to grab some coffee to eat with your cake. We really liked the ube cake, black sesame, Belgian chocolate and lavender lemon.“

“Ordered the 12" Square famous Strawberry Whipped Crème cake for our monthly office birthday celebrations-- and it was a total hit for 40 sweet tooth employees (serves up to 50 I think). Very fresh and sweet fruits and the whipped crème was light and delicious. Cake also moist and just a touch of sweet. Easy to cut but it's a very tall cake so needed help to keep the slices in tact haha I was in awe watching the owner (?) freestyle write a birthday message on the cake with such ease. Very kind staff (even made sure we wanted the nuts on the outside out of concern for any food allergies). Would order again for sure and look forward to trying more of their confections!“

She left a bad review, but the owner reached out to my wife to make accommodations, which is generous.We ordered 3 types of cupcakes, Devils Food, Carrot, and Birthday Cake. I'm happy to say that these are absolutely delicious. Carrot cake is by far the best, but I'm also a fan of savory and spices, then Devils Food follows. Perfectly moist cake with a balance of frosting sweetness and ingredients. I'm not a cake person, but I'd definitely come back here just for myself since it's so good. “I placed an order for my daughter's baby shower 4 days before the shower date. I was worried about being able to get a cake ordered in such a short time frame. I looked to Yelp as I always do to find a cake shop to rescue me. And I am glad that I came upon cake sisters. The whole experience from ordering to the final cake was amazing. I was able to explain over the phone what I wanted and followed up with an email. They executed my order flawlessly. The cake was stunning, and the flavor was delicious. I ordered vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a Bavarian cream and pineapple filling. I described the cake that I wanted and it looked and tasted as if I had made it for myself. They were so spot on. It was soooo pretty. Especially the little edible shoes that they made. Although I did get a few pics, I didn't get any really good ones, but they took some before I'd picked it up. I hope they post it.“

Definitely the environment felt welcoming and especially the young girl taking control front end with a very positive and well attended to costumers!! When I say I took a bite at the Oreo chocolate slice cake I purchased, wow! Definitely what I was looking for taste and texture from a cake. The cake sponge wasn’t dry nor soggy but texture was at its best touch, the pairing with the frosting wasn’t overwhelming with sweetness but the perfect touch. “Saw this bakery next to fresh & flash market so decided to grab a few dessert bites. They weren't the freshest pieces, probably because I came at 6 but they certainly were tasty. Besides the texture being a bit on the hard side the small cakes were sweet goodness. Overall it's pretty good especially for El Monte. 4 small cakes totaled about $7, not too shabby.“

Just FYI, there are only a couple of tables inside, and the parking lot is small and shared, but there is street parking. Arbi the owner was really nice and our almond croissants and lattes hit the spot. I work in Glendale and will definitely stop in again.“
