“Fun time at kinkan! We had the where are we going tasting menu which was cool to experience and learn anout each dish and how the chef came up with it. The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. I think it was great experience but food didn’t feel worth it in the end so I would not go back a second time.Parking: Small parking lot, handful of spaces“
“We really liked the food! Both got noodles, one street noodle with chicken and one pad see ew with chicken. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. Nice casual option.“
“One of the best Thai food spots in Pasadena/Altadena- and that’s quite an achievement given the competition. Miya sets themselves apart with a well crafted menu, cozy and uniquely decorated space, and neatest of all, every Tuesday they have an all vegetarian menu with some unforgettable choices. Honestly worth checking out before the place inevitably becomes famous and the line for a table always out the door! Also huge shout out to the staff who took the time to walk us through the menu, explain how the restaurant dining choices worked, and generally went above and beyond to make the experience match the quality of the food!“
“Best Thai food I've ever had. Their burgers are great, too. Best service ever! I highly recommend the Angry Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and Beyond Burger.Update: This place just keeps getting better. They did such an amazing job helping cater a Harry Potter Party. Thanks so much!!!“
“Holy Basil is instant comfort that teleports you home. The dishes are flawlessly executed and the flavors are consistently on point. The vibe of this hidden gem reminds you of your family’s kitchen and I feel like a kid again full of excitement from the escaping aromas. I lean heavy into firing the menu family style and always look forward to memorable meals shared. Their take out withstands LA traffic to the far away land of Santa Monica. Service is hands down the friendliest in town.“
“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“
“Came here during a weekday around lunch time. Service was quick and kind. I had the khao soi and it hit the spot. Broth was flavorful and it had the right amount of noodles and meat. Lots of steady foot traffic from people that seemed to me on their lunch breaks so you know it's a good spot. Check it out for some good Thai food!“
“It was my first time coming here and let me tell you it's amazing. The portions are good and the service and atmosphere is super friendly. Such nice people helping you out. I would definitely be coming back here again. Their thai tea is a must to get!“
“Wonderful! Highly recommend this restaurant. The orange chicken, jasmine rice and spinach was amazing and the chicken was tasty and tender. We also ordered the milk fried chicken, rice noodles, and power greens which was equally amazing. The staff were very nice and attentive.“
“The food is delicious!! They have both burmese food and hot pot / dry pot hot. I tried the burmese food and dry hot pot and it was excellent! The restaurant is a passion project of the owner and it really shows, he just wants people to be able to have delicious burmese food, and he is proud of his heritage. all around awesome!“
“Very inviting atmosphere, incredibly cozy. I'd love to take someone on a date here if I lived in the area. Great food, I've only been there once but I can vouch for their Tom Kha and their Spicy Basil. Very affordable for the area. Their bathroom is very small and placed at the back corner of their kitchen, you need to ask to go use it. Would love to come again.“
“Bulan is by FAR My All Time Favorite Place to EAT when I’m in LA??️? The food is Outstanding and Always on Par! I Highly recommend the Inferno Chicken, Yellow Curry w/chicken, and if you L?VE Peanut Sauce Definitely TRY “Under the Specials Dishes” Sizzling Pra Ram Also love the Hot Wings as an Appetizer! We Love You Bulan! We Will Always Be BACK & Always Recommend You! ??Vegetarian options: The Absolute Best Vegan THAI Food!!!“
“Fabulous restaurant and loved sitting at the kitchen counter watching all the action. The food was spectacular and watching the efficiency on how the Chef directed everyone was amazing. Having worked in the industry for 15 years and personally having managed restaurants, I was still blown away.“
“We came on a Sunday, it is somewhat busy. The location has a few small Thai stands. We ordered the mango sticky rice coconut cakes and green onion coconut cakes. They are $10 ( each has around 8 pieces ).The coconut cakes are sweet , creamy and flavorful, they made it right in front of you so they come out warm. The mango is sweet and not sour so we are satisfied. Remember to bring cash cause they accept cash & zelle. After they take your order, they give you a ticket and they make your food. You just need to bring that ticket to get your food. The wait is around 25 minutes for the food, and there are 3 long tables next to the stand so you can eat there. We walk around the Thai grocery store across the coconut cake stand when waiting for food.It is a nice place to experience some Thai coconut cakes! Would recommend this place.“
“This is by far the best Thai restaurant in the Greater Los Angeles area. The presentation of the food is always perfect, they use the freshest ingredients, and the staff is great. We can order the same dish every time & it always tastes amazing. We will literally order too much food just so we can have left overs... can't get enough of Yum Zaap!“
“Star Leaf is a new Asian (Thai) fusion restaurant in Pasadena, California. The restaurant is nicely design with comfortable seating. I visited them on a Thursday evening. The hostess was friendly. Tonia, the waitress had a warm smile and very attentive. I started with a Lychee Martini which was ok. The cocktail Kamata Club Blue had a very nice presentation. The Wild Salmon in Thai Vinaigrette was a refreshing appetizer. I also had the Thai Royal Curry with Soft Shell Crabs and Madame Noi’s Pork Collar. For dessert, I finished with Tropical Panna Cotta Coconut Bowl. I enjoyed the dinner. I have one more good restaurant on my dining list.“
“A very small Thai restaurant but great food. There isn't a very big parking lot in the back but you can find parking nearby on the streets. There also isn't many tables inside so that is why the wait times get so long. Luckily, we came at a good time and didn't have to wait. The employees are friendly and have good service too.We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, chicken satay, khao soi. The satay was okay but I really liked the pad thai and pad see ew. However, the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. One dish is barely enough for one person. But I guess the size is good for trying different dishes with friends.“
“So damn good. Great after a walk around the Silverlake reservoir. We were able to walk in and get a table in their backyard seating without any reservation on a Thursday evening.Food was delicious although could be a bit spicier, loved the atmosphere out back.“
“Hainan chicken was incredible. Rice was good but it will be excellent, if they use little better quality rice. Still it was excellent. Servers was very friendly & helpful, price just incredible. This place is way better than Savoy! Highly recommend this place!!!!“
“Hello! Well being that I have gone to Thailand, I think my review will be valid. First things first is the welcome value 5 stars. The most sincere and pleasant staff. Service time above average. Plating was very visually appealing. Had the lunch special eggplant. Was cooked to my perfection. Overall what was most important was the smiles. That is what made the experience a full star rating.“
“We stopped by for a quick dinner on our first day in east LA. We had the orange chicken, kung Pao combination, jasmine and brown rice with iced green tea. The portions were large, food was delicious, hot, and the service friendly. It was a great start to the week.“
“Excellent food! A wonderful family run restaurant. My whole family goes crazy for their crab Rangoon and shrimp and veggie tempura. The golden shrimp dumpling curry is also amazing. They just expanded the menu, very excited to try more dishes. Have never been disappointed, and very friendly staff and owners!Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes can be made with tofu“
“Hands down some of the best Thai Food I've had throughout NorCal and SoCal. While I regret being so damn full every time I leave, I can confidently say I've enjoyed everything I've had. 5/5 - Pad See Ew Flavorful, great portions, and came out piping hot. They serve the spicy vinegar with it but you don't even need it, even when you get to the last 25%. 4.8/5 - Kwan's Pad Thai Girlfriend got this, was great. With or without lime, the flavor comes through and is delicious. Noodles were cooked well and when you take a bite with some Papaya Salad? Immaculate. 4.5/5 - Papaya Salad Yummy and spicy. No complaints here. 4/5 - Fried Shrimp Roles Damn good and just the right amount of crunchy. Portion size was quite generous too. 5/5 - Panang Curry SO GOOD. Not too sweet, not too savory and comes with just the right amount of rice. I got it with chicken but I'm curious how the other meat options would taste. My mouth is drooling a bit thinking about it. 4.5/4 - Chicken Satay Yum. Good with or without the peanut (?) like sauce. Chicken had a nice bite and was very soft on the inside. Comes on skewers so be careful not to stab your mouth as you inhale these. Longan Drink Hard to rate a drink but it was yummy. Not too sweet and had a good taste to it. A little pricey for how much you get but I'd say it was pretty worth. Service was pretty good with the staff being very attentive and coming around asking if you needed anything or had any questions. There was a family that obviously never had eaten Thai food before and it was sweet to see the server being very friendly with an explanation on the items. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal.“
“I've been here several times for a quick meal. It's definitely more of a "mom & pops" shop. Their pricing is much more affordable, considering the rising costs of everything. I had the #5. ½ chicken teriyaki & short ribs. Also requested double mac, not a fan of the salad. The taste of the chicken and ribs were great. I love the taste like it's been cooked over a hot grill. This place gets very busy at times, my best suggestion would be to phone in your order. They do not accept card payments, CASH ONLY.“
“Drumsticks dinner was very tasty , good portion. Pepper steak my friend had was disgusting due to the sweet chilli sauce and hers was with grilled potatoes which weren’t properly grilled and she literally had like 5 slices:/ she left the restaurant hungry. Waiter didnt even commented on her leaving this steak untouched… plus I was charged $4 for thai tea(which is far too sweet , didnt like it) and it was happy hour $3“
“This will be my new favorite Thai spot in Glendale. Coming here to work during lunch, my co-worker and I were pleasantly surprised how we never tried this place before. Everything was delicious and the server was amazing and super attentive to all of our needs. Not to mention that we got back in time for work even after eating all of the tasty and fresh food they offered. Will definitely come back for more!“
“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was spotless and inviting, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The Chili & Lemon Shrimp Saap and Chili & Lemon Chicken Wing Saap were standout dishes, full of flavor and depth. I also noted that it is better to order the wings & shrimp when you dine-in. I wholeheartedly recommend adding this restaurant to your must-visit list!“
“Small operation with BIG taste! We usually drive 20-30 minutes to Thai Town, but wanted to stay local. Thai Touch had the best reviews in the area, and after trying it, I can see why. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, with 5-6 tables and probably a capacity of sitting maybe 13-15 people at a time. Our party of 2 came on a Saturday at 6pm and there was no wait. There's a parking lot. They were busy with delivery orders though. The food was really, really good. We'd recommend the mango fish, pineapple curry, and pad thai. We'll be back to try the mango sticky rice. Pro-tip if you've read this far, the Yelp check in deal when dining in person is 25% off your order. That's probably the best check in deal I've ever seen on Yelp. You're welcome ;)“
“When we walked we got off to a rough start when it took a little while to be seated. There are signs that ask patrons to be patient, which sets up your expectations. The ladies working there are so cute and very welcoming. They hustled and were kind and polite. We ordered Pad Si Ewe and Satay and both were flavorful and delicious. We also ordered mango with sticky rice, which came with a huge portion. I have no words on how good the food was! Great place would go again.“
“Love this new find! Lots of delicious gluten free options, which are clearly marked on the menu. They use locally sourced and whenever possible organic veggies. No msg. I love supporting conscious restaurants like Spice Season. I can’t wait to be back to try the caramelized egg, chicken fried rice and vegan coconut sorbet with sticky rice again!“
“"Hidden gem" definitely describes Eden Thai. It's an unassuming little restaurant, but absolutely worth supporting. The food is great for the price (the pineapple fried rice is my personal favorite), and they have free delivery available. The owners are very sweet as well. Now that the pandemic is over, this place deserves a good update in interior decor to really get people to come in and stay for indoor dining!“
“Nice little Cafe that serves Thai and Indonesian with a small market that sells Indonesian Staples. The restaurant has a very cozy feeling but the music and customers can be a bit loud. The menu consists of Thai and Indonesian dishes. The food is authentic and very tasty, be careful with the spicy level. The spicy dishes are spicy. The portion is okay and priced very well for what you get The service can use some work but it looks like a family run business and it is probably why the food is authentic and unique. Overall it was a good experience and I would come back regularly.“
“Wow! The crab noodles are out of this world. Very tasty, with a nice balance of sweet and slightly sour. The Tom kha came with real crab, too. The service was lovely, by the owner, and the ambiance is nice and quiet. Relaxing spot where you can enjoy a nice homestyle meal. In the area, I would argue the food quality is better than President Thai's. This is real, Thai authentic! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.“
“Excellent food, great staff and vibe. A busy place for good reason. We were in a motel close by for a few days during some home improvements. Liked it so much we did take-out twice. The string beans were the best I've ever had. Even my husband's often dull cashew chicken was noteworthy. All cooked fresh and fast. 100% recommended. We'll collect ourselves or have delivery now we're back in our space not that far up the road. Maybe tonight!“
“Fish without fish that tasted better than fish?? Get outta here. I'm a prolific meat eater and had a great time here. Moreover, our meal felt comforting in a way that most vegan restaurants I've eaten at aren't able to capture. 10/10, will come again with my animal loving friends.“
“Ordered twice from here and each time the food was excellent. Everything was packaged perfectly and the appetizers stayed crisp even when we order take out. We've ordered the wings, egg rolls, pad woon sen, red and yellow curry and steak salad. Couldn't complain about anything at all! Happy to have found this one as the Thai spot in South pas just hasn't been hitten lately. Recommend!“
“This place is nothing but exceptional. Our server Justin Godoy was an incredible person and we are so glad that he was the one helping us during our visit. The food was delicious and Justin’s attitude was exceptional, making sure we were always eating comfortably. Definitely recommend eating here. Thank you Justin!“
“Out of all the Thai restaurants I've tried in the Los Feliz area, this one stands out with its absolutely incredible dishes, hands down. I'm particularly obsessed with their green curry--I keep ordering it on repeat! Every item on their menu boasts amazing quality, and their delivery and pickup service is both prompt and efficient. Not to mention, they're incredibly generous with their portions. Lately, whenever I crave Thai food, I find myself ordering exclusively from this place. I highly recommend it! :)“
“The water here is immaculate. It comes in adorable mason jar glasses. It is served cold and with ice. The server kindly refilled our glasses multiple times. On a long work day where I felt tired and sluggish, this water really helped keep me going.“
“What can you say? It was such a fun time, service was quick and knowledgeable. Food came out fast and was SOO GOOD, im still thinking about it. Definitely get the crispy rice dish (i forgot the name). Had the special for Lunar New Year. I wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner but thats life. If i was closer id go back today!“
“This Thai spot is phenomenal. The owner cooks food that is authentic, plated beautifully, and unapologetically flavorful. Each bite is a time travel bomb that takes me back to the time I was gorging myself at street food vendor stalls in Bangkok. The location is within an office space area used for AA and community meetings. It comes across humble and the dining area is separate from the actual community building space. The tables are clean and extremely well kept. The owner clearly pays attention to detail when it comes to maintaining her dining area and silverware/cutlery. The owner herself is very accommodating and welcoming. She takes the time to answer questions about the menu and offers adjustments to spice levels if needed. She also cooks and serves all the food herself with the help of one other individual in the back kitchen, so patience is key but completely worth the time investment. The food was so outrageously delicious I didn't have time to take more pics the first time I went. It was so good in fact, I came back immediately the next day to try the crab fried rice pictured below. The serving sizes are generous and the spice and flavor is second to none. I'm so impressed with how high quality all the dishes are and everything tastes so impeccably fresh. Crab fried rice - the crab meat is legitimately fresh and generously portioned. The rice is well seasoned and the veggies mixed in with the egg are a perfect compliment to the crab. I really enjoyed this dish and it comes with a side of spicy seasoning sauce you can add to kick up the heat a notch. Crying Tiger - not pictured below, but man what a stand out dish. The flavor of the rib eye pieces are so well balanced and the dipping sauce for the meat is so distinct it really adds depth to the rice and salad accompaniments. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad as well, and the amount again did not disappoint. I have nothing but overall praise to give this place and I know I will be frequenting this spot often for the foreseeable future.“
“This place rocks. They accommodated all of mine and my boyfriend's dietary restrictions with such care and the food was honestly ridiculously good. So happy we tried it!! My pad thai was perfect (a wonderful gluten free option) and my boyfriend loved the green curry with beef. I also got a thai iced tea with boba and it was delicious. The service is awesome, parking is easy, and the ambience just feels like an authentic spot. Loved it and will be returning.“
“Delicious! Fresh not greasy Americanized Thai food. Sweet staff. Cute small place. Tom yum soup and pineapple fried rice were so great. They don't play when you request spicy. It's SPICY. Very reasonable prices even low especially given the good quality.“
“An intimate Thai eatery with nice date ambiance and elevated prices to match. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. Parking can be a bit hard to find on the street so your best bet is at the lots/garages nearby when it gets busy. Pretty small restaurant, could see there being a wait on the weekends. We came later on a Thursday night. Tried the Pearl summer roll, Thai fried rice, and green curry. The summer (spring?) rolls were incredibly overpriced, just a bunch of cheap salad ingredients wrapped in rice paper with (way too sweet) peanut sauce and mustard (???) on the side. Definitely skip! Thai fried rice was good but too sweet for my taste, I much prefer Nine & Nine's version (close by & cheaper). The green curry, though, was one of the best I've had in LA so far. I highly recommend. Really creamy and well flavored, with tender bamboo shoots, chicken, and veggies. And a nice spicy kick to finish! Would come back to try more of the curries.“
“Was passing through on a Sunday afternoon when the Wife and I searched for Thai lunch...ran across this quaint place. Food came out hot and fresh. Quality and quantity were good for the price and the presentation was quite surprising... well done (see photos). Service was friendly and quite hospitable. This place is quite small, so it is recommended to either call for takeout or show up in small groups of 4 or less as seating is very limited, but quite a treat for the sitdown service. We had Pad Thai and Pad See ew and Thai Tea. Definitely recommend and we will be back.Parking: The parking lot is small and limited as this location does have other businesses.“
“Great service, very quick to get my food out. I had the Massamam curry, which came with jasmine rice and a sesame salad. I also had the edamame sprinkped with the chili lime seasoning. It was soooooo good. Definitely, a spot I will return to!!Parking: Small parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor so definitely wheelchair accessible .“
“Pretty solid Thai food. Came here for a late lunch (after 230pm). It didn't seem too crowded. However, the service was noticeably slow. Maybe the staff was new or short staffed this particular day. Not certain. ?The food was decently flavored with nice condiments. Ordered the drunken noodles, 7 seafood fried rice, and seafood soup. The soup came out timely. All was seasoned nicely. Liked the spicy condiments. The menu had a decent selection of seafood and veggies. Portion is a nice size. I ordered some food to go as well. The decor was clean, airy, and modern. Would come back again.**Came back again after the initial review. Service was rude and rushed. Maybe it was a bad day for the servers. Do NOT get the curry. It's absolutely distasteful. They need to get this item off the menu.“
“Why have I waited so long to try this place? We ordered tofu and broccoli off their lunch special as well as chicken pad see ew. The lunch special comes with vegetable soup but they brought out an extra one which was so generous and kind. The soup doesn’t look all that appetizing at first but wow does it make up just glorious savory, garlicky flavor. Both entrees were excellent, seasoned just right. The entree size pad see ew was enough for us to share. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!“
“Ordered the chicken pad thai lunch special. It comes with spring roll, rice and salad. Pretty weird, i thought, but okay. The salad was so nice. It's dressed with peanut-y salad and if i gotta eat salad for a whole month straight then this is the salad i'm looking for. Spring roll was fried to perfect crisp, but i'm not a fan of it's filling. It's some gooey batter or vegetable something? The pad thai is very nice. It's nutty and somehow tastes smoky, and kinda sweet. At first i thought this is sweeter than most thai places, but once i eat it with some rice, it all makes sense. They go very, very well together. The surprise to my tastebuds is kinda similar to when i found that mac & cheese goes very well with the sweetness of kalbi ribs. Portion is quite reflected by the price point; not generous, but you get your money's worth. The only weird thing is that they give you the bare minimum amount of condiments: just a tiny cup of chili sauce and a sachet of soy sauce. Even when i asked for a little bit of thai chillies on the side, they 'forgot' about it and after i inquire more finally they gave me a super tiny cup of chopped chilli in fish sauce and insisted that "this is the only thing we have."“
