“One of the best Fish and Chips meal ever eaten. Delicious Mint Oreo shakes, too. Busy but understandable for a beautiful afternoon and lunch time, at a place which offers such good food! Right off the beach parking lot with park and seating area, and steps away from the beach itself, Parkside Cafe is a place I fully recommend. Extensive menu helped all in my group feel happy ordering from here. Apparently popular with the local population, too. Fast and professional service. Great beach atmosphere.“

“My daughter had to pee. lol We were on our way to Muir Woods when I saw this donut shop. I ordered some donuts as we waited for the fam to go to the restroom. The young man behind the counter was kind and helpful. The donuts were sooooo good. They were fresh. The quality was exceptional. They are a more artisan version of Lamar’s. They have more variety of donuts than many shops. They even had gluten free and vegan choices. We had regular cake and risen donuts. . I lament that Bob’s isn’t found in our state. We will be returning to this area and we will be back to Bob’s. So happy that my daughter had to pee. 😂“

“The last time I had babka was in Miami few years ago at a renowned bakery called Zak the baker. Ever since then I get really excited about babka when I go to a baker but nothing has lived up to the hype till I tried this one at Braid.
I was really skeptical about trying the new baker with no storefront but it lived up to the hype. The freshly babka tasted amazing with gooey chocolate and hazelnuts in the cake. Definitely recommend if you're willing to pre order and wait for a couple of days which isn't convenient.“

I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. “I went in the early afternoon and there were still 3-5 types of vegan muffins. It looked like they were all cornmeal based. I got the apricot one, which tasted mostly like a regular corn muffin. Even though the apricot wasn't prominent, I still enjoyed it and would like to try the others.“
