“Really amazing and very good food. I was a table of one and was able to sit down within 15 minutes compared to usual hour long wait.
I got the HK style french toast, very sweet and more of a dessert but it was amazing nonetheless. Second item i got was the cold sesame noodle (no chicken) and i’ve never had this amazing dish before and it was life changingly good.
Funny story but they threw away my food while i was in the bathroom for two minutes but they apologized and gave me a free meal to go and pastry. I didn’t care that much but happy they fixed an error!
Will come back again def“

“Kinkan feels like a love letter to flavor. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and left feeling nourished in every way. Each dish was beautifully crafted, delicate yet bold. Perfect for a quiet celebration, a romantic date, or a night to remember. A true neighborhood treasure.“

“I loved my dining experience there! The decor is warm and special; the service, impeccable, and the food is beautifully presented and delicious. I recommend the lobster spring rolls, the calamari and shrimp salad, and the duck fried rice. If you really like lemongrass, then try the seared scallops!“

“Andreas Super helpful and knowledgeable about all the foods on the menu the chef always hook it up fresh. Oh my God, cucumber salad stuff. It’s unbelievable delicious number of sauces. You can choose from really affordable and large portions. You have to try this place multiple different choices. Trust me you will not be disappointed.“

“Where has this place been all my life?
For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.
This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover photo.
My current obsessions:
Kpop Fries – Highly addictive. Proceed with caution.
Korean BBQ Banh Mi – Pure flavor explosion.
Chimichurri Steak – That sauce… someone needs to bottle it.
My only struggle here? Picking just one entrée per visit. Since I’ve hopped on the LA intermittent fasting train, I only get one big meal a day—meaning each visit is basically a full-on palate crisis.
If bold flavors and creative comfort food are your thing, put Lokal at the top of your list. And if you spot a guy with blonde hair, built shoulders, and the expression of someone facing the toughest decision of his week—that’s probably me.“

“My wife and I popped into this quaint establishment for an early dinner and were so pleasantly surprised. We both had the stir fry over rice. Everything was fresh and the taste was outstanding. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and they checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food. We will definitely be returning!“

“2024.10
The customer service was very good! The server was kind, polite, and had a wonderful smile.
However, the taste of the food is extremely ordinary? and there is nothing wrong with it...
It tastes like home cooking in a good way.
The rice flour noodles and chili oil on the table were very delicious.“

“TRULY SOME OF THE BEST SUSHI IN LA!!!! I was amazed when everything came out beautiful, fresh, tasty, creative, and utterly perfect. This place is a gem and I look forward to going back. Definitely the prices are appropriate for the quality of fish and level of food/service they provide here. Everything was fantastic. They should be very proud of their restaurant! I know I would be. Well done, Hanabi Sushi! I will definitely be coming back and often!“

“I've been coming to Pan Tang for close to 30 years. The food is consistently fabulous, with the Thai iced tea, chicken satay (with amazing peanut sauce) and the shrimp pineapple fried rice being my favorites. The family that has owned this place is so kind and wonderful. Best Thai good in town. Even used it for my wedding rehearsal.“

“This review is for TAKE OUT. I came in person, placed an order and was told it would be 15 minutes and while I was sitting there I asked about the condiments and was offered to have them added to my order!
The loved the vegetarian fresh Summer Rolls with the peanut sauce. This comes in 2 pieces. I could of had 2 more! I took my photo after I ate half of one roll.
I also ordered the Larb Kai which I loved! The spicy, tangy chili dressing with the ground chicken is heaven! I should of ordered 2 of these! I finished it in just a few minutes!
My husband loved his Spicy Noodle with Chicken! He let me have one bite and the flavors were spicy unami good! He also ordered then Panang Curry with a large rice.
The staff is very polite and efficient. The restaurant interior minimal. There are places to sit down and eat, but it might feel a bit too cozy to sit down here if the restaurant was full with people.
I am craving more of this delicious food as I finish writing my review.“

“I finally made it to Chibiscus and had an excellent meal. It is a small shop with a few tables and has some cute decor. And it has parking!!! There is street parking as well if the lot is full. It is not a huge book of a menu. But the choices are well done, and everyone should be able to find something they want here. I started with the veggie potstickers and a spicy tuna hand roll. And then had the chicken curry dish as my entrée. Do not order too much at first, save some room for dessert. Oh my gosh! The desserts look amazing, and folks drive from all over for the brick toasts here. My food arrived after just a bit. The potstickers were good. Good flavor and not overcooked, along with a nice dipping sauce. The spicy tuna handroll was huge! What a deal! Maybe 6-7 bites to eat it all. The curry came out and was a good amount of food, just like everything else that had already been served. A large scoop of rice, some pickled ginger and a big bowl of Curried chicken came out. It was really hot, and I needed to let it cool a bit before digging in. It had a nice flavor, like a brown sauce with curry added maybe(?). Potatoes, carrots, and plenty of chicken, it was a good amount of food. I probably should have taken some food home but ended up just eating everything there. Next time, dessert!“

“I’ve been coming here for years because I literally live a block away. The place has increased in price since I first came here and the menu has changed and what I used to get is no longer on the menu. LION KING ROLL is my goto. It’s delicious. However….. Today as I approached the counter to get my food, a homeless girl walks in barges right next to me as my order is being processed and given to me, and asks “y’all got any miso soup?!?” Stinky and obviously covered in filth, no bath for probably years and a dirty soiled blanket wrapped around her, I was instantaneously disgusted. Miso soup was given to her and I don’t know what else because I got outta there before she could even ask me for money or whatever! You feed a pigeon and what happens??? A dozen or more come. This is a simile; a point I’m trying to make. Homeless are the root of the problems here in Koreatown. You feeding them is the hand the feeds the problem.“

“The sushi was on point. I had a caterpillar roll. The ingredients were fresh and I was full from the size of the roll! Also, it was quite a deal too as I had dinner on a Wednesday. Currently, Monday through Friday the restaurant is offering 20% off.“

“Driving through the area and spotted this little spot serving up some delicious food. The Bop is tiny, small tables, good music and friendly service. The menu offers a lot of options and I couldn’t decide what to order. I finally chose the bulgogi bowl and it didn’t disappoint. Great container to keep the food fresh and once I at down the flavors and textures were very satisfying.“

“Great Thai food from a local mom and pops restaurant. The dining room is very small and there is usually very little parking available during the day. I love the Panag Curry with fried tofu very spicy. The mango sticky rice is amazing when in season.“

“Delicious food, Always good quality. I have been going here weekly for over a year. The only thing that is frustrating, is that their closing time is not accurate with what they have it listed on google, I’ve had doordash orders go through that never came in, and i showed up to the location to be denied.. 30 minutes before listed closing time.“

“I chased the Bang Bang Noodles pop‑up in Highland Park—they serve hand‑pulled noodles that are fresh and chewy. My bowl of spicy dan dan noodles had great chili heat and sesame flavor. Locals rave, saying it’s among the best fresh noodles in LA. The vibe was simple and friendly, like a neighborhood secret. Worth following their pop‑up Instagram“

“Good food, I got the #1 and the portions were very filling. They offer samples of the teriyaki chicken which got me to order the dish. Although the actual dish wasn't as sauced, the meat was still tender and tasty. Only downside was that some bites of rice were uncooked.“

“I really like it.. The server is really kind and takes good care of me. I wore white clothes, but they gave me an apron right away, asked me about the side dishes first, and gave me refills. Most of all, the food was so delicious. Onmyeon is the best. Oh, and I like Jisamseon, so I always eat eggplant dishes. Today, I saw that there was grilled eggplant, so I ordered it and it was so, so delicious. Today's discovery was grilled eggplant!!! (I also ate cold noodles, but eat hot noodles rather than cold noodles!! Eat hot noodles)“

“Tony's Filipino BBQ is a must-try! We were blown away by the delicious food and friendly service. The panga ng tuna was perfectly grilled and flavorful, while the pork belly BBQ was juicy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chicken inasal was also a winner, with its classic smoky flavor and tender meat.
We loved the fluffy bibingkinita for dessert. Everything is made to order, so you can taste the freshness in each dish. The service was also fantastic – friendly and attentive. If you're looking for authentic Filipino bbq, Tony's is the place to be!“

“We had a very nice dinner here. It was highly recommended by a friend. It is a cute little place that fills up quickly. We ended up sitting outside with some heaters, which was quite nice. We tried the Brussel sprout appetizer, and it was excellent. We ordered the Asian roll, the lobster tempura roll as well as the soft shell crab roll. All were very good. The negima, which is chicken on a stick, was very tasty. We finished with mochi, which was perfect.“

“So glad to finally tried this place, I don't have to drive to Ktown when I have the cravings for Korean food. I was skeptical but I had to try this place at least once. I went there with my daughter for lunch, ordered kimchee fried rice, kimche jjigae and port katzu. The portions were good and the taste was pretty authentic. Definitely going back. I'm sure their sushi will be pretty good as well as our lunch was.“
