“Went here after camping at El Capitan canyon for the weekend. Me and the missus were hankering for a good cup of joe after 2 days of instant.

The store was very clean and had a good vibe. Smaller indoor are but there was adequate indoor and outdoor seating. Only one barista / employee working there and he was apologetic about the wait but was extremely helpful.

I got 2 cups of pour over of their lightest roast. It was a bit too dark for my taste but smooth and not bitter at all. My oldest got the creme brulee latte and loved it.

The bacon avocado toast was the BEST! The toast, avocado, bacon, hard boiled egg and sauce was so delicious. I didn't want to share it with my partner it was so good. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was one of the best my youngest ever had apparently. He said it was better than a McDonald's cheeseburger and that WAS his favorite food of all time. Lol. He even asked when we'd be going back.

In summary. The coffee used was on the darker roast side and would probably have been better as an espresso/milk drink in my opinion. If you like darker roasts then this is the place for you. The food there was excellent and I especially recommend the avocado toast.“

He was attentive and friendly, greetting and checking on everyone without being overbearing, which can be a difficult balance to hit. Overall an amazing presence in the place. I'm a pro chef who's been in the industry for 20 years and Lalo is one of the best, most professional FOH managers I've come across anywhere, let alone a breakfast place.“

“This was our big saving grace for our morning coffee place - and walking distance from our rental! Peets wasn't nearby and we were visiting from out of state (we are OG Northern Californians moved elsewhere)....we needed deep coffee with a Peets-like offerings. But the staff was WAYYYY more friendly and welcoming - thank you for that! And you cannot argue the view and surroundings are one you cannot take for granted - extra plus plus. We loved the customer experience and outdoor amazing views!“

They just wet their fingers for a second and put their hand on the sippy cup where I would be drinking from and ended up getting sick right after. I love this market for their delicious lemon tea cake! Their cookies, brownies, and other treats are all fabulous.“

“Went twice on the same weekend. Had a Gibraltar (cortado), cappuccino, honey lavender latte, and a drip coffee/black and all were good. The breakfast sandwich, lox bagel, and acai bowl were also all tasty and well made with good quality ingredients. In particular the salmon/lox was great and not even a hint of fishiness that often happens when breakfast places leave some of the dark meat in it.

Has plenty of seating inside and out, and ample parking. Indoors they have acoustical panels on the ceiling that cut down on the noise from lack of other soft surfaces in the room, a nice touch. Prices reasonable for coastal California/Santa Barbara.“

“Tyler's Donuts is a no nonsense donut shop in Carpenteria, CA. No frills, no IG interest wall. Just serving up classic donuts, croissants (including hot bakes), and basic coffee drinks. They are located in an unassuming shopping center anchored by an Albertsons grocery store.

The donuts and all the baked goods are good ole fashion bakery made. The donuts had a traditional, classic taste. They also specialize in croissants. They have traditional $3.25, fruit filled $3.25, and hot bakes $6. Puffy, golden flaky layers. The croissants are huge, the size of my hand. Rustic looking. Not perfect looking but that just adds to the house made look.

The odd thing I noticed though was the menu board. They listed prices for everything except the donuts. Where are the donut prices? They ought to change that to get some prices on the menu or labeled on the trays. Something. Having those prices listed would help out the staff deal with the same questions and sticker shocked customers.“
