I ordered the Hibiscus cold brew, the carmelised onion and goat cheese quiche, and the banana bread. “No trip to Santa Barbara for my spouse and me -- and Louie, our rescue dog -- is complete without at least one visit -- and, ideally more than one -- visit to Handlebar. Sublime coffee. Cowboy cookie?! - don't ask, just order...two, because you will want one tomorrow...trust me.

“I absolutely love the creative lattes and drinks here! Especially the sesame cappuccino they have. Not too strong on the sesame, so even if you are a first timer to try this latte flavor, it is super friendly.
I definitely recommend this place, especially if you are walking down state st and need a drink!“

“The girls that work at the Haley location in the AM are so nice! I so look forward to passing through on my way to work a few times a month. My friend from LA told me she comes through for the matcha latte when she's in town and it's now one of my faves. Not sweet! Which is what I like and they have a good variety of nutmilks, as well.“

“Went here after camping at El Capitan canyon for the weekend. Me and the missus were hankering for a good cup of joe after 2 days of instant.
The store was very clean and had a good vibe. Smaller indoor are but there was adequate indoor and outdoor seating. Only one barista / employee working there and he was apologetic about the wait but was extremely helpful.
I got 2 cups of pour over of their lightest roast. It was a bit too dark for my taste but smooth and not bitter at all. My oldest got the creme brulee latte and loved it.
The bacon avocado toast was the BEST! The toast, avocado, bacon, hard boiled egg and sauce was so delicious. I didn't want to share it with my partner it was so good. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was one of the best my youngest ever had apparently. He said it was better than a McDonald's cheeseburger and that WAS his favorite food of all time. Lol. He even asked when we'd be going back.
In summary. The coffee used was on the darker roast side and would probably have been better as an espresso/milk drink in my opinion. If you like darker roasts then this is the place for you. The food there was excellent and I especially recommend the avocado toast.“

“Food and atmosphere was great. But what really stood out was Lalo, who I imagine was the front of house manager. He was attentive and friendly, greetting and checking on everyone without being overbearing, which can be a difficult balance to hit. Overall an amazing presence in the place. I'm a pro chef who's been in the industry for 20 years and Lalo is one of the best, most professional FOH managers I've come across anywhere, let alone a breakfast place.“

“Since I get it probably 5x a week I feel like I owe them the following commendation: the perfect breakfast sandwich. Simply. If you’re in a hurry be advised it is sometimes not the speediest service-wise, but super lovely people all around, and when adequately staffed the place runs smoothly and congenially. “Super friendly staff here make wonderful espressos and Sunkist lattes. Despite the down vote and biblical verse quoting of another reviewer, the Mission supports this business and this business supports the Mission. The owner couldn't be more kind. It's so nice to go up and enjoy the Rose garden and get a coffee on a beautiful morning.“

They just wet their fingers for a second and put their hand on the sippy cup where I would be drinking from and ended up getting sick right after. Please wash hands fully with soap or at least wear gloves. ?“

“Great small gourmet Market. They have vegetables, condiments, pasta, etc...but not cleaning products or paper goods. They have wines.
I love this market for their delicious lemon tea cake! Their cookies, brownies, and other treats are all fabulous.“

The single stall bathrooms are clean and locked with a code. Years ago when this was a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf the Santa Barbara Go Club met here weekly. They may still do so.“

“Went twice on the same weekend. Had a Gibraltar (cortado), cappuccino, honey lavender latte, and a drip coffee/black and all were good. The breakfast sandwich, lox bagel, and acai bowl were also all tasty and well made with good quality ingredients. In particular the salmon/lox was great and not even a hint of fishiness that often happens when breakfast places leave some of the dark meat in it.
Has plenty of seating inside and out, and ample parking. Indoors they have acoustical panels on the ceiling that cut down on the noise from lack of other soft surfaces in the room, a nice touch. Prices reasonable for coastal California/Santa Barbara.“
