“A small surf themed diner on Highway 1 in Huntington Beach/Sunset Beach, very close to the water. I live in West Los Angeles, so this area is a lot calmer and less crowded than what I am used to so it’s nice to be able to find easy parking and no lines. It’s right next-door to Harbor House Café, which is also a surf themed diner and between the two I would say that Harbor House is my favorite although Woody’s is another good option, especially if Harbor House is full. There are many Woody’s locations, I believe at least six and none are in the Los Angeles area. They are all in Orange County, this being the most northern one. Our waiter was nice, but the service was very slow. He took a while to take our orders and our food items came out pretty slowly. He also forgot my coffee and gave it to everyone else around me before me, even though I ordered before them, and by the time I inquired about it, they had to brew another batch so I had to wait even longer. They have a tiny parking lot on the side of the restaurant otherwise it’s pretty easy to find free street parking.

For my breakfast I ordered my favorite breakfast dish, which is the Eggs Benedict. I decided to try the Woody’s Benedict, which is basically a regular Benedict with cheese and gravy. I honestly thought it was pretty good and it was extremely filling. The biscuits weren’t very flaky or as good as I hoped, but I still enjoyed them. They tasted a bit like microwave biscuits versus something very fluffy and crispy.

Overall, a nice little surf theme diner in North Orange County. I would recommend if you are in the area.“

“I was referred by a friend to visit this location since I eat yogurt everyday fir breakfast. I ordered drinking yogurt:Earl Grey & persimmon($1 additional). You can't taste Earl Grey strongly, but it was flavorful. As for persimmon, you can taste lumps of persimmon as you sip the liquid yogurt. I actually like the taste of yogurt by itself and I would prefer to order plain next time.“

“I read good reviews so we thought would go and give a try. Well the family and I had fantastic meal. My husband had a goat fish and said was very flavorful and tasty. For the kids (8, 11)we got a mild Lamb Korma and Butter chicken. With these I confirmed that they would be mild enough for the kids. The butter chicken and lamb korma even though was ordered as mild (no spice at all to it) it had an absolutely amazing flavor to it- perfect for kids. Now I have had a lot of butter chicken and hands down this was the best I have ever had. The chicken fried rice we ordered was very tasty as well. Highlight for my husband was the beer from India. He said it was very nice and complimented the food nicely.“

We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)“

“Best Indian food I've had in OC. The service was absolutely great! Our server was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. The young man answered all our questions. It was our first time there and we can't wait to go back to try the entire menu. The food was DELICIOUS. So much flavor!! The venue was clean and really well decorated. “I stopped by for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The place has a cozy, old-school diner feel with friendly staff who remembered my coffee order on my second visit. I tried their chilaquiles and they were fresh, perfectly spiced, and generously portioned. The coffee isn’t fancy but it’s strong and refilled often. It’s a great little spot if you’re looking for a no-frills, warm start to your morning.“

“Dropped in for my birthday, we’ve been coming to this shack for over 10 years. Come to find out the previous owners sold to a new amazing couple. Which kept the original flavors, menu and recipes. Still high standards with great flavor, and great portions. We stopped by a little after 10-11 am and got chatting with the couple who now owns the business and how they got it. A really amazing story and so so friendly, they gave our children a couple small dishes of sherbet while we chatted with them and waited for our burgers. Very friendly gentleman takes your order and very helpfully offers to bring it out to your car.
I get the house special banh mi : cold cuts, liver pate, crunchy daikon and radish plus jalapeno peppers. Very excellent bread holds it all together.
I always leave with a complementary tea and fruit or other sweet dessert.
