Highly recommend the dumplings—they’re handmade, and you can even buy them frozen at a great price. The server reminds me of my aunties, and the food tastes like grandma made it. It’s like a cozy Sunday at mom’s, and she just brought out the menudo.

“Liangpi LA is the most delicious. As a Xi'an native, I have eaten all over Xi'an restaurants in Los Angeles. This is the first time I have tasted something so delicious. In other restaurants, they are either not vinegary enough or the dishes are messy.

Most of the dishes used crab meat for the main or for garnishment: It was overdone. Service was good, nice ambiance although lights were turned off in some part of the restaurant.“

“Chinese Café serves amazing, delicious, healthy Chinese food! This food is so good! We had the food delivered. They were on time, the food was hot and fresh, and each item was boxed in plastic containers. Egg rolls and rice were in traditional take out paper containers. If an item has pan-fried noodles, then the noodles and the sauce is packaged separately so the dish itself will be fresh. Also, each box for a part of an item was labeled so we'd know what goes with which food item. Soup came in soup containers and also in plastic bags so the soup wouldn't spill accidentally. The food is traditional Cantonese Chinese food. We ordered BBQ Pork, Won Ton Soup, Green Pepper Beef, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Beef Pan Fried Noodles, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Vegetable Egg Rolls. The flavors of the meat and vegetables are fresh! The egg rolls are crispy and delicious! The food is low in sodium! Fortune cookies were free with great fortunes! “This is a really nice cafe in Downey. They have free wifi, many snacks and nice boba. The boba menu is great. The smoothie and fruit tea are nice too. I think the standard menu is a bit too sweet for me. The snacks are like frozen snacks and took out to fry. Staff was very nice. Clean restroom. Great vibes for working or chatting.“

“This place is an amazing dining experience. A great alternative to Korean bbq or hot pot, you order different skewers and let them cook in front of you, then enjoy. All the different meats and vegetables were delicious and offered lots of variety so there is something for everyone. The grill automatically twirls the kebobs giving an even cook, and the sauces and spices are very flavorful. Very helpful staff and clean interior.“

It’s not a red carpet kind of place m, they know you are there for the food! They’ve managed to reduce a number of steps which allows you to get your foods faster. Ordering is done on your mobile device via a QR code by your table. Almost as soon as you ‘submit your order,’ food starts arriving! I absolutely love this and wish more restaurants would adopt this. The waiters regularly come by and are always more than happy to grab something out missed it. Clicking ‘request check’ on the mobile device and they will bring the ticket by promptly.

Food:
The absolute highlight of the barn is the chefs creations. The Green Beans are absolutely to die for. I don’t know what the special ingredients they use are, but my mouth is watering thinking about this speciality! They offer yakitori; the teriyaki chicken is a favorite along with the wagyu beef. The bacon wrapped asparagus is on the regular order list, along with the cheese corn which is some of the best I’ve had. I don’t get it every time I’m there but the spicy firecracker chicken wings are amazing!

Ambiance:
A single row of tables line the restaurant adorn with cool decorations throughout the restaurant. One of my favorite things about visiting the barn is the eclectic choice of music they play which changes up every night.
