“This little gem has the best pastries and the best staff. None were too busy to goodnaturely answer my guest's many questions about the soft feta cheese in his omelet and the homemade bread. And that aforementioned baguette? Delicious and fresh. Very satisfying breakfast. Just look at the photos!“
“This is a amazing place to get your coffee fix ..... outstanding vibes and the staff is very down to earth and very helpful..... Rose is amazing and Victor , Jehan , Julio ,Jenny are as well.... Always a pleasant experience... please be sure to try and come to this location, it's worth your time !!!!!!“
“Barista Juan was so helpful and professional. He greeted me as soon as I walked in the shop, stopped his duties and attended me. Juan took the time to answer my question. Juan made my drink fast and hot. Just what I wanted. We need more Barista like Juan. Thank you Juan.“
“One popular spot known for its delicious borekas in Los Angeles is "Borekas Sephardic Pastries" in Sherman Oaks. They offer a variety of flavors and are well-regarded by locals and visitors alike. It's worth giving them a try if you're in the area!“
“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“
“Top tier dirty chai (they make their own chai) coupled with the unique smoked salmon bagel sandwich (with cream cheese, avocado, tajin, and berbere sauce) makes for an out of this world lunch!Add the decor and friendly staff and you’ll have yourself a memorable experience!“
“Went in for some cocktails before dinner on a Wednesday night and it was chill. Living for my espresso martini and my hubby got a dirty martini ? stepping inside felt like we walked into the past with the original tables chairs and architecture.“
“Tattoo artists are incredibly sweet, and very talented. The environment feels very safe and friendly, water is readily available if you need it, and the artists don't mind if you ask for rest breaks. I made positive conversation with everyone who was there at the same time as me. The artist I was there to see, Stanley, did an amazing job with my very tricky scar cover-up tattoo. Also, the aesthetic of this place is absolutely perfect, their interior design choices are really impressive. The green and pink floral theme is adorable.“
“"Sippin from your cup 'til it runneth over..." I heard JT performed at the Wiltern last night for free so I had his music on repeat in my head all day today during work. So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
“The pre-jam bagel at Layla's is the best thing since sliced bread. Get it on a plain bagel so that the bagel doesn't distract from the taste of the incredible seasonal blood orange and cara cara. Pro tip, grab a wet wipe from the side counter by the napkins dispenser so that you can cleanly devour your honey drizzled, succulent sun-soaked bagel of delight and mumble in joy as nectar-like citrus juices drizzle down the bagel into your waiting mouth. In order of favorites: The pre-jam on plain The marli add bacon or salmon, add tomato on sesame The laika on everything The scarlett on sesame And then, sammy's which is a solid egg n bacon sandwich but not on my list of favorites maybe because we got it on an everything bagel- recommended on a plain. Last thing, but most importantly, the rose petal matcha latte is the best drink in west Los Angeles hands down and I'm still dreaming about it now. *chef's kiss*“
“Get a delicious linch while dealing with parking tickets- DOT is right next door ?Love their turkish eggs and hubs likes their sandwiches. I adore black sesame lattes and theirs has a double shot of espresso ?Free parking in structure off of catalina when validated by them. Otherwise street parking on weekend is pretty easy too“
“This was an adorable place for pastries and lunch. There is free parking in the structure nearby, and paid street parking around. My partner and I split the Chilaquiles, which was phenomenal with fresh and crisp chips. The pastry we ordered was an apple danish of some sort, and that was delightful as well. You order in the front before self seating, and enjoying a laid-back time with yourself or your friends. The staff were super friendly. The prices were quite high, but understandable for the location and quality of food.“
“i’ve had their pastries a few times and each time they’re AMAZING. Always super moist and fresh. i’ve talked to both the guys and girl that work there, and they’re just as sweet as their desserts. The pastries are a great aesthetic instagram post too!“
“My first time at Little Barn.. a vegan spot. It was just after the rain so everything was soaked. I could tell that if things were dry then the back seating area would be cute. The person taking our order was nice but the service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked considering it was my first time. The food was good but not amazing. I ordered the tamales which I had to discard the masa as it was too thick and hard. The monte Cristo sandwich was pretty good. I really liked the strawberry chocolate scone though. That was really good. I would definitely try it again.“
“Absolutely lovely place! Great atmosphere, great guests, great staff!Lovely food freshly made - great barista. By the way - excellent house blend!I’ve had some food and drink for really reasonable cost.Colourful yet toned and modern interior. A lot of space that everyone can find a spot for themselves.Great job Liberation!!!“
“Looking for a sweet treat to cool your mouth after eating a scalding ramen or udon? A cozy atmosphere to study with a friend? This is the place for you! Ordered the matcha waffle cone, and it was the perfect balance between sweet and earthy. The vibes were great and the service was greater! They ran out of ice cream as they were serving me and gave me a slightly smaller portion along with a full refund! Highly recommend(Excuse the image, I just couldn’t wait to dig in)“
“Damn Good Coffee was close to where we were staying in LA and yes, they certainly live up to the name! Great neighborhood vibe, super friendly staff, great beats... they even treated my doggo to puppicinos ~ which he clearly loved as we couldn't even pass by their street without him trying to pull me to go back, woof! No vegan food options but that's no big deal, it's all about the grinds at DGC!“
“Not sure why the incredibly high reviews. I would do 3.5 if I could but the atmosphere was really nice so bumped it up. It’s a cozy cafe in a cute area, seating is great. Food was fine— not super expensive, but for what it was, a little more costly than I’d prefer. Definitely not memorable, but tasted fine; cappuccino was meh. However, I’d come back just for the vibes since it’s a good place to catch up with friends etc. and I’d be interested to try a different menu item!“
“redownloaded yelp just so i could leave a review. i don't come to eagle rock often but i had some time to kill and decided to grab some breakfast here. i was immediately welcomed by the friendly woman behind the cash register who could tell it was my first time her and gave me the whole run down. the food and coffee was delicious and quick - i had an horchata latte and the breakfast croissant sandwich. while i was sitting and working, other staff members would check in and ask me how i was, brought me water without even having to ask. great spot to sit and work, but also such positive energy and sense of community here!“
“My go-to spot for simple french sandwiches. NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Ive had all of their meat sandwiches and their omelette sandwich. Always so good and fresh. love the crunch of the baguette with their rich butter or their gooey soft omelette. the omelette sandwich is my favorite, because i'm just an egg enjoyer and would prefer breakfast meals over lunch or dinner. I will KEEP on going back here! Also their ice pink praline latte, is a MUST TRY. not overly sweet with a nice floral scent to pair with its creaminess. this place is really a hidden gem in the neighborhood.“
“I absolutely loved Junior’s cookies. They are the best cookies ever and every time I am in LA it’s a must that we stopped there. We were super sad that Junior and his mom were not in town this time that we stopped, but we will definitely catch up with you guys next time. Thank you for such amazing cookies“
“My first time here and I LOVE the ambiance, the environment is nice and the inside of this place is gorgeous. Just enough space and plenty of tables/seats to sit and even get some work done! GREAT music and vibes. However, I was not too fond of the managers here, they were a little rude and non-personable which rubbed me the wrong way. Especially the female manager here whose name I did not get, seems as though she was NOT fond of people of color. Lalo and Gabriel were lovely, had great energy, and were super attentive! Food and drinks aspect-wise, I LOVED the salmon cucumber toast and lavender oat latte. Very tasty, and would 1000% try again. I do hope if and when I return the management can be more friendly and receptive to ALL.“
“If you're around the area I would suggest visiting this cafe! They have fantastic service and their drinks are always top notch and literally made with love. I usually get their matcha latte or their seasonal drinks if it catches my eyes. Btw their cream topper is always so AMAZING, could literally drink it everyday haha They even sell flowers/plants! It's pretty unique since you can't really find cafes that sells them and they are all so pretty. Plus this cafe has their own merch too. Once I saw their pink tumbler I couldn't help but had to bought it ASAP, such a cute tumbler(The color was to die for)! The baristas are so welcoming and would love to chat with you, they will literally start off your day perfectly :) Also, the parking is pretty small so if you can't find parking I suggest to park in the neighborhood, it'll be a nice short walk :D“
“In search of a good french pastry place in the LA area so drove here to try it. Overall 3.5/5 Mixed Berry Tart 4.5/5 Strawberry Pistachio Croissant 4/5 Butter Croissant 4/5 Kouign Amann - 2/5 If you live in the area, definitely a good pastry store that's close to home.“
“Pretty good boba. I got the milk tea. It's wayyyyy too sweet so ask for less sweetness. That's the mistake I made. I got the milk tea boba with oatmilk. Service was good and it's cute inside. People were in there studying. Nothing special. I probably wouldn't come back. Meter parking in the area.“
“If this hasn't been written yet, this shop has incredible coffees that is worth your frequent visits. If it's any testament, Frank La is the 2024 United States Barista Champion. Coffee and hospitality is incredible, it would actually be a mistake not to come “
“Easy to miss, though from the reviews, it seems like few actually pass it by.On lunch break from rehearsal nearby, I had the feta, tomato, and basil toasted sandwich, which was perfect. Outdoor seating was quite welcome, as it's kinda warm and stuffy inside the store.“
“Recommended. I came by. There’s a kiosk to order and a cashier. I ordered the garlic bagel they are known for and the breakfast Becky. There’s an outdoor seating area as well as indoors. They have a merchandise wall in case you want to buy anything. Also a fridge section that has drinks. The kitchen is easily viewable to see what’s going on. The bagel was great. Also the breakfast Becky with its bacon and sauce. I really liked it.“
“My favorite coffee place so far! Their mint chocolate iced mocha is AHMAZING!! Creamy, rich while still being able to taste the coffee. The chocolate shavings on top were also delicious and nice addition. Limited parking as all we found was street parking but that's okay. Fast service. Their nutella croissant was divine and absolutely delicious! When in LA, will definitely be back!“
“Parking sucks very bad. Super professional hospitable staff. Clean bathroom. NO WIFI !!!! ample seating. Beautiful ethereal inspiring decor. Yummy coffee & pastries. Bad ass background music all the time. Will definitely return & recommend!“
“This is a cozy, local neighborhood hangout and a great place to meet up to grab a bite and a latte. My favorite is the egg in the hole avocado toast. So satisfying and delicious. The service is always friendly. Some days takes longer than others to get your food so if in a rush, try ordering ahead. Also, parking is notoriously bad in this court so I recommend parking in the VA lot and walking over.“
“This place is great. The coffee is good. The beans they sell are fresh and great. The pastries are good. There's seating. There's parking. The people who work here are super nice and remember regular customers' orders. No notes. It's perfect. Go.“
“Cute outdoor cafe with delicious scones and tea. My party had a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed their choices. My favorites are the matcha white chocolate , ube coconut and chocolate chip. The options for vegetarian sandwiches and vegan/gluten free scones were yummy and appreciated.“
“Best coffee shop in Hollywood, my favorites are the Filipino coffee (Ube latte) and I love their strawberry almond croissant, I recently tried their white miso glazed croissant, it was banging, love this place, hard to find a place with both great coffee and great pastries, I feel like it’s usually one or the other, but this place takes the cake. 10/10!“
“My coffee was just okay- but it was also a better price than most. This place is ADORABLE though. The little red and white striped umbrellas make it hard to miss- even tho I did. Lolll - (it’s sort of hidden on a side street) I would defs go back.Parking: If this place gets popular- Parking could become a challenge. It’s a residential neighborhood.“
“Such a cute coffee/stationery shop. I had the matcha latte with oatmilk and lightly sweetened and it was good but next time i'm getting regularly sweetened. I usually have to ask for lightly sweetened wherever I go and this time when I did, it could've used a bit more sweetener which is a good thing. This way I know they do not use too much sweetener in their drinks. The lady that ran the stationery station was so nice and helpful and she answered any questions about the pens she recommends and the paper quality of the notebooks. You can try the pens and how they write as they have a sample for each and paper to try them and I bought two pens as I love to collect pens.As far as parking, there's plenty of street parking, but I walked here from the nearby LA Historic State Park. It was nice taking a stroll through chinatown with my matcha latte and then I went back to the park to go for a walk. I would come back to this shop and try the other espresso drinks.“
“Excellent food! So happy we found this place. Staff is great and they offer indoor/outdoor seating. Great selection of coffee, drinks, baked goods. Yummy and fresh Mexican fusion menu, delicious breakfast offerings as well. Street parking, small below ground lot and small parking lot.Vegetarian options: You can make most things veggie with easeWheelchair accessibility: If you have wheels you can easily enter and exit“
“Bodega has best of both worlds! You can grab a coffee and get some work done or you can grab a glass of wine and catch up with friends. I love coming here for both! Also their pizza is the best pizza in LA in my opinion ! At 5pm everyone puts their laptops away and it turns into an actual wine bar! LOVE IT ! Service is great! Ambiance is so cool! Lots of natural light which gives it a coffee shop feel! There's tall tables, a long bar and also couches to sit. They also have an outside patio for those warm sunny days !“
“Every time I'm in Studio City I always have to stop by this spot. Service: Amazing, fast, friendly and very helpful. Seating: it's actually decent considering the exterior is small. Positive atmosphere inside, and some outside seating. Overall a very enjoyable vibe. Coffee/Pastry: You. Must. Try. Everything. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. The obvious question: Is it better than Starbucks? Oh yeah! If you're in the area this is a must stop for coffee lovers.“
“Coffee for $5 total! And it’s not small! They also accommodate my service dogs and have never complained. I randomly ended up here after going to ground coffee down the street. They wouldn’t accept cash and it made me so angry that I walked down to this shop, being a loyal customer ever since. I don’t even drink coffee (maybe once a year, when I need the energy for a crazy day) but it tastes that good I keep coming here weekly. Staff members are amazing and deal with a lot while keeping up with the rush. They can get busy at times! It’s definitely a popular place. There’s two small tables outside to sit at and you order at the window outside. It’s cute and has a friendly atmosphere. They have rewards so after 10 coffees you get a freebie. Love this place“
“Banger Gelato/ice cream spot. I loved the unique flavors, the cashier serving us was gracious enough to let us try a bunch of flavors, and although there is limited seating inside, the outdoor seats are a vibe. I opted for the Ube Mochi flavor and the pistachio. The ube was very flavorful, and I did enjoy the mochi bits. For mochi being in a cold dessert, it was surprisingly still really soft! classic flavor, but I've never seen it be done gelato style so this was good! The pistachio is classic and it was just so delicious. Pistachio can be hit or miss for me but this place is definitely a hit. I'll for sure be back!“
“I recently tried Stereoscope's pour-over coffee, and I must say it was top-notch. Their specialty coffee selection is truly exceptional. One of my favorites is the Guatemala, which offers a delightful blend of flavors including strawberry, grape juice, heavy body, and fudge notes. The brewing process and attention to detail really shine through in every sip. I highly recommend giving Stereoscope's pour-over a try if you're looking for a premium coffee experience.“
“Good, strong, sweet milk teas. They have taiyaki and coin bread with different fillings (just like the taiyaki). Both the Sound and jasmine milk teas were strong, and the boba were plentiful. Service was pleasant and quick.Parking: Small strip mall parking lot.“
“I was in the area for a tire and in desperate need of coffee. I asked the barista which to get and they recommended the horchata latte, I got it with half the sweetener, iced and it was perfect. I even splurged and got a the tomato & mozzarella empanada (also recommend by the barista) chefs kiss! Came with a chipotle sauce of some kind and so fresh. I also opted for the spinach, egg and cheese empanada which was also delicious. Will definitely be back when in the area.“
“The food was tasty! Came out not even 10 Min after we ordered.( There were 3 orders before us)Fair priced for the food but drinks do seem overpriced. You can eat at the tables outside and listen to LA trafficParking: The paid parking behind the building is 3$ every 15min (limit 18$ in price) egg tuck doesn't validate but Starbucks does when you purchase (for only 30min)“
“Great coffee house!!!You definitely need to check it out.I got the lavender latte and a fresh baked cookie and wow what an experience! I loved this place so much I came back the next day too!The lavender latte is super calming and yummy.Kris your barista is super great at spinning all the best rock and roll music and 90s grunge. Please don't ever change the music here!????I will definitely be back anytime I am in town.“
“Visited last weekend with a friend - what a pleasant experience. I got the sesame caramel latte and i like how it had a hint of the sesame flavor but wasn't overly sweet. It was subtle without tasting like just water. Service was super friendly and funny. I felt like i was visiting an old friend who started working at a coffee shop or something. Helped us pick out a few items cause we were indecisive. Layout is soooo cute. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere part of culver city but it's a walk away from other food places and has nice seating indoors and outdoors. Very cute graphic design and interior. And no this isn't a review written by a worker“
“Looking for a caffeine oasis in the heart of Hollywood? Look no further than Javista! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm smiles of the friendly staff. The cozy ambiance makes it the perfect spot to catch up with friends or dive into your latest book. Their espresso drinks are expertly crafted, and the pastries and sandwiches are to die for! Javista has quickly become my go-to spot for a delightful coffee experience in Hollywood. Highly recommend giving it a try!“
“Lovely little cafe near Rodeo Dr. Delicious crêpes, salads and sandwiches with a big selection of coffees and teas. The cupcakes looked scrumptious, but I did not have any this time. Instead, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Croissant sandwich and it was worth it. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.Vegetarian options: Several salad, sandwich and crepe options for vegetarians.“
“I just went to Red Maple Cafe for the first time today and really enjoyed the experience. My wife mother and daughter all loved our food and the ambiance. The fried chicken and waffles were very flavourful and unique because of the blackberry sauce they served with the waffles. The fried chicken was juicy crispy and flavorful. The blackberry sauce also mixed nicely with some hot sauce! The brisket burrito my wife got was very good, flavorful and tender brisket. Their house breakfast potatoes were also very good. Spiced but not spicy so that even my daughter approved and enjoyed. Their custom coffees were very fun too as you can have them take a picture of your choosing and put it on the cream of their coffee! Our server Brian was also excellent and attentive. Very helpful and patient. We could not have asked for a better first experience and server.Thank you Red Maple we will be back !“
