“Horseless Carriage restaurant is an American diner located at the Galpin Ford dealership serving up large portions of old fashioned and modern comfort food for reasonable prices.

I came to visit Galpin Ford recently after visiting the nearby Sepulveda VA center to look at a pickup trucks for my elderly veteran friend's 5th wheel. Afterwards we were in the mood for a good old fashioned American breakfast and this place really hit the spot!

Pass the big American flag just east of the dealership where a cute sunny patio, counter seating, cozy booths and well spaced tables are all available and wheelchair accessible.

There's an early bird breakfast special which offers light breakfast for under ten dollars for early risers.

We ordered French toast with eggs, bacon and sausage. The French toast was drenched in eggy batter, the bacon was lean and crispy, the eggs were cooked to perfection.

Our server was friendly and service was fast. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant to you fellow world travelers.

Fun inside scoop. I was in a band when I was teenager and the owner of this dealership was often in the crowd singing along. He's an awesome guy. I'm not surprised this restaurant is so beloved by everyone!“

“I had a wonderful stay at Malibu Beach Inn! The hotel facilities were truly exceptional. The location right on the beach is absolutely stunning, and the views from the rooms are breathtaking. “Nice old school coffee shop diner with a big selection of breakfast items and lunch and dinner items. Prices are not bad, better than most for a place like this. Opened in 1971 I think and it hasn't changed much. A Canoga Park Iconic place.“

“Always an enjoyable experience. Quality food at reasonable prices and can't beat the view! They really should do something about more comfortable chairs on the outside sand tables. The chairs sink into the sand so much that you're at an uncomfortable level to the table unless you weigh anything under 100 pounds. “

“I came with my mom my son and step dad and we loved it! We got the marathon combo and we doubled up of course! And we also got the OG combo and doubled up on that too! I added some bbq wings and some spicy wings and onion rings. Everything was on point! The staff was friendly and the wagyu burgers are some of the best the city has to offer! I love Nip and the Marathon brand! This is my new favorite restaurant!“

Super chill vibe, poolside, and thankful for the yummy recommendations by our server. I wish I got her name but she recommended the tacos and they were delightful. The poke bowl was so colorful and beautiful and the avocado toast was tasty and plentiful. Would eat here again when I'm in town.“

There were two parties there but they’re closed off from main dining room so it wasn’t noisy. Not fast food. They don’t rush you. We were there almost 3 hours. Nice spot for special occasion. Do make a reservation as it filled up after 6:30 on a Saturday night. There’ was live piano music as well as a separate, small sports bar that looked welcoming.“

I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. I've been to West Restaurant several times in the past and have always loved their food, drinks, the ambiance and their amazing 280 degree views of the surrounding cities and beyond what the eyes can capture...just remarkable and beautiful 😍. It's the perfect place for a date, birthday and anniversary dinners, dinner with friends or if you want to treat yourself to a good meal and drink(s), that works, too. So, I decided this was the perfect place to have our mother's 87th birthday dinner last week and it did not disappoint 10 years later! The food was even more delightful and scrumptious than what I had experienced years earlier. They even offer a fantastic happy hour that ends at 6 pm on Sundays and we just made the cut, lol. What contributed to this memorable experience other than enjoying a delicious meal and conversation, was how much my mom loved it ❤️. That was our goal, and the mission accomplished! My mom is very well-traveled and has an exquisite and mature pallet and this restaurant exceeded her expectations in every way possible. Needless to say, my mom is already making plans to return with a few of her closest buddies so, they, too can have the awesome experience at West Restaurant she did. And might I add, it was my sister, cousin and son's first time as well and they all agreed that the food was undeniably tasty and flavorful. Lastly, the valet offers 2 or 2.5 hours of free parking with validation only. That's a huge plus! West is now in the top 5 of my favorite restaurants and I will be back!“

“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“
