“Came here for a special dinner. We were in the hut room with the fireplace. I ordered Mary's Half Chicken. Sorry but it definitely needs more flavor more seasoning. The portion was pretty good. Then my boyfriend ordered the pasta. It was really good. So we swapped plates lol. The waiter didn't check on us often. However the couple next to us got a lot of attention. But we still enjoyed our night. As we left my boyfriend pulled me aside and proposed to me ❣️ made the night so special.“

The customer service as well was impeccable, all of the workers as well as the owners caters to your needs and makes sure that your enjoying the place. “We were exploring Main Street and got hungry. Sat in the back patio which was covered but still had air flowing so it wasn’t hot and stuffy. We ordered mozzarella sticks, fish taco, taco plate and the chicken sandwich. Portions were massive! Ordered a cocktail and beer too. We were so full that we had to take a siesta after our meal. Oh, they’re also dog friendly.“

“As a New Yorker, my standards for breakfast & brunch are high. I’m so glad I came here! There’s a freshness about the atmosphere and the food selection is unique and tasty.
I got the curry with bokchoi and we had fried for the table.
They had matcha, which went perfectly with the creamy-with-a-kick meal. 🥰I wish I had 2 stomachs so I didn’t have to leave a bite uneaten, but I could only get through have of this lovely meal.
Absolutely will be revisiting when I’m back in the West Coast.🫶🏾“

“This place was really amazing. The weight staff was all great. They helped me out with a small issue. I had with my diabetes by providing me with some orange juice because my blood sugar had gotten low. I truly appreciate him doing that for me. “Nice old school coffee shop diner with a big selection of breakfast items and lunch and dinner items. Prices are not bad, better than most for a place like this. Opened in 1971 I think and it hasn't changed much. A Canoga Park Iconic place.“

“Tar & Roses is always a good experience. Great menu options and great service. My favorites are the oxtail dumplings, ribs and the whole fried snapper. Their cauliflower is maybe the best vegetable side I've ever eaten. Look forward to my next visit.“

“We stopped and ordered 4 breakfast burritos, 2 tater tots, and 1 lemonade. There was a wait but that is no problem as you can tell it is cooked to order. We got our order hot and fresh, it was easily one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The lemonade was also fantastic and homemade.“

“One of the best meals I’ve had in LA. The food was exceptional and had so many amazing flavors. I went here on a date and the atmosphere was perfect. It is all outside but the heaters kept it toasty and it’s very picturesque. Our favorite things we got were the yams, and there was a delicious mussels special that was SO good. Extra bonus because they have a parking lot. Will definitely be coming back many times!“

She packed up a bag of towels and freshly baked cookies we could enjoy on the beach. She was amazing! I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.“

“I enjoyed my stay at the Viceroy and especially enjoyed their offerings at the Sugar Palm. Great service! We dined at the bar on a beautiful outdoor day in Santa Monica. Super chill vibe, poolside, and thankful for the yummy recommendations by our server. I wish I got her name but she recommended the tacos and they were delightful. The poke bowl was so colorful and beautiful and the avocado toast was tasty and plentiful. Would eat here again when I'm in town.“

“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“

“Food was excellent and the ambiance sitting outside was great. We had the pork chop, puréed herb potatoes, appetizer sashimi and olives. Everything was top notch, food and service. Pork chop was very moist and the sauce they serve with it brought the pork chop over the top. Pure heaven. I wish they would change their policy regarding happy hour and allow happy hour if you sit outside. We have a dog and since he cannot go inside the restaurant then allow us to have happy hour outside with our best friend. Most restaurants make this exception. We would certainly frequent your establishment much more often as we love happy hour.“

“Valley Inn and Martini Bar - New Year's Eve Celebration I had the pleasure of celebrating New Year's Eve at Valley Inn and Martini Bar, and it was a delightful experience overall. The food was outstanding, with each dish crafted to perfection. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made the evening even more enjoyable. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. While I gave the value a good rating instead of excellent due to the limited menu selections and higher prices for the holiday, the quality of the food and service made it worthwhile. The noise level was moderate, which is understandable given the festive occasion. One area that could use improvement is the parking situation. The tent still erected in the street since COVID blocks numerous parking spaces, making it difficult for patrons with mobility issues. I addressed this to the staff and was puzzled to learn they actually want to make this permanent! No one uses this outdoor area, and it's filled with a disarray of items making it look unsightly for such a historical restaurant. Despite this, I highly recommend Valley Inn and Martini Bar for a special night out. The food, service, and ambiance are top-notch, and it's a great place to celebrate any occasion.“

I called around to several places and with very slow response times and abruptness directing me back to the website for Uber delivery. The host and manager Spencer followed up on the order and went out of the way to make sure it was a great experience for the group and the stressed out person (me:) trying to coordinate for the group.
