“So. Much. Food.
Hole in the wall spot with amazing quality and great price. Waitress explained each dish. I’d say the variety was less than other omakase, but the quantity and flavor was spot on. Sake is really cheap too. Definitely coming back.“

“It's my go-to place whenever I visit Torrance. It's a casual comfort place with affordable price. I love their creamy pasta. It's sooo goood!! Not to mention their fresh rolls come with big portion. Friendly & prompt service, clean space, plenty of parking, cozy small business. It's a gem in the neighborhood.“

“My first review! My visit here last night was nothing short of a revelation in the art of sushi dining. Celebrating its 17th year, this gem of a restaurant has not just stood the test of time; it has set the bar for what authentic Japanese cuisine can embody. Though it is not your modern izakaya nor fine-dining luxury, it firmly facets itself as the "OG" restaurant in the diverse Japanese dining scene. Immediately upon entering, I observed details of its classic entity by old decos of art, calligraphy, signs, photos, and handwritten notes. It was an ambiance that exuded warmth. I immediately felt the history and dedication woven into the fabric of this place. The owners have crafted not merely a restaurant but a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer nuances of Japanese culture and cuisine. I opted for the sushi combo course. Each piece of sushi was a testament to the chef's mastery over his craft, with every ingredient shining through in a delicate balance of flavors and textures with a properly curated course. All the nigiri boasted freshness in a blend of tastes that was above satisfactory by the plate. But what truly sets Sushi Anza apart is the heart and soul poured into every aspect of the dining experience. From the attentive, yet unobtrusive service to the meticulous presentation of the dishes, you can feel the love and dedication that the owners have for their craft. It's this personal touch combined with an "aged" ambience that transforms a meal into an experience. In a world where the genuine essence of Japanese cuisine can sometimes be lost amidst fusion and innovation, Sushi Anza stands as a beacon of tradition and quality. Overall, my first visit here was a nostalgic journey through the very essence of Japanese tradition, guided by the hands of those who know and respect it the most. I cannot recommend Sushi Anza enough and look forward to many more visits. I hope to regain the same authentic warmth, excellence, and quality that hallmarks the culinary gems of Torrance.“

“The staff is very friendly here and the sushi was so fresh and delicious. I ordered 3 salmon rolls that were 4 pieces each and the fish was so rich. I also really loved the extra Hello Panda cookies they threw in which just happened to be my favorite. I will definitely be back for more! They might just be my new favorite sushi spot.“

“Last minute dinner date and needed to find a Japanese sushi restaurant closeby in Torrance that opened past 8pm and found this place through Google Maps. Called them at lunchtime for a reservation which i got and they said that last food orders was 845pm so that was perfect.
Couldnt get the sushi bar but table seating was perfect and intimate. Our server was friendly and we ordered right away. Prices were a little on the high side but its a date so live a little?
Ordered a couple small appetizers and the Sushi Dinner deluxe for myself and the Sushi Omakase for my date that featured speciality fish of the day (chefs choice). Everything was fresh and high quality, delicious and authentic. Stayed still closing time and didnt feel rushed at all.....Thank you for such a nice memorable dinner for the both of us. ??Would recommend if in the area. 5 stars?“

“The Omakase, while a little pricey ($62/per person) was awesome. A nice mixture of of sushi that I would not have ordered myself. The service was quite good and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is a little bland, but also on par for local sushi restaurants. I will be back!“

“I’m and all my family, lots of my friends are regular customers from the first day this place was open in early 2000.. This is the only place I trust and eat raw fish. Gina, managing this restaurant all these years. She knows every one names, food preferences and always treats us very very friendly!
If you want sushi, this is a right place to go to.“

“Hidden jem for lunch specials, I recommend getting one of their take out lunch combos, chicken or salmon teriyaki and tempura combo is my go-to. Comes with the main choice, sticky rice, various tempura vegetables and two tempura shrimp, tempura dipping sauce, miso soup, and a side salad, all for like $13, and it's very fresh and delicious! Closed Mondays though.“

“I took a friend to eat sushi for the first time that did 35 years in prison. The shishito peppers are addicting and to die for. We ordered 3 different rolls and everything was amazing. The sake was hot and delicious...service was great and attentive. I love this place! I've been like 5 times before and would say it's one of my favorite sushi spots in LA with great prices! JUST GO HERE! you won't be disappointed.
Kid-friendliness: There was a child in there and she had toys and was not disturbing at all....gave it a great family friendly vibe.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can ROLL up on in their as easy as they ROLL the sushi lol“

We ordered too much food and were supposed to be charged for it but the servers were SO kind they only charged us $5 more for a bunch of leftovers we took it all home to our son that couldn’t come with us due to work and he got to eat a bunch of sushi for just $5!!! “Ise-Shima is the Japanese restaurant of the Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance, Los Angeles. The main dining room of the hotel restaurant is elegant and spacious. Servers are polite, accommodating, and professional. Although price is not cheap, the Tuna Lunch Special (USD 46) is fresh and delicious.“

“Old-school japanese hole in the wall interior, very simple and straight forward. Servers are nice and let you take your time. Might need a little effort to get their attention sometimes but it's a small inconvenience for the quality of food.“

“My friends and I had a wonderful time here. Our reservation was at 7:30 on a Sunday night, and we were sat right away. The food, drinks, and service was top notch! Must order the beef tongue! So on point!
The only downside is that they close at 9:30. Kinda early for an izakaya, in my opinion.
Sorry, there are no photos. We were too busy eating and chatting it up!“

“Came here last night for dinner just before 8pm and it was semi-busy. Not too long of a wait, about 15-20 mins. A pretty small restaurant, so expect to a little wait most of the time. But it’s worth it!
This was our first time at a Rotating/Revolving Sushi place and the whole experience was amazing! We about tried everything and it was all good. Of course with any rotating sushi, some things will be rotating for a while and will get cold. So I recommend ordering straight off the screen to get freshly cooked/prepared food.
My favorites were the American Wagyu, Seered Eel, Seered Beef, and Seered Salmon. As you can tell I’m pretty biased towards the “hot” sushi’s. 😅
Only negative thing I have to say is it is pretty pricey, for my standard that is as a wild Nomad. Just between my daughter and I we had a total of 12 plates (1 was a gacha, 2 were deserts, and 9 were the actual sushi/food). So after everything, tax and tip, we paid a total of $65. But again, worth it for the experience!
The staff was amazing and friendly as well! The waiter even gave my daughter a free gachapon toy! Overall 5 ⭐️“

“Sushi Boy’s sushi is always fresh and tasty, and the staff is so efficient and friendly. It is always obvious that the sushi is fresh because the rice is of a “just made” texture. Other sushi party tray retailers prepare the food en masse early in the day so that the rice dries and hardens during the day. Not appetizing at all. Sushi Boy is the best!!“

“Super busy Saturday at lunch, so it's a very popular place. I ordered on the app and got $5 off my first order. Had to tell them at the counter that I had an online order because no one else had one and I was afraid they didn't have my order. It took a few minutes past my estimated time to get my food.
The food is fresh and very tasty. The chicken was a bit too tough for my toddler to eat, but she liked the noodles and shrimp and California rolls.
The food is quite salty, so probably best for an occasional treat.“

“We love Sushi Time! It’s one of the best local sushi spots in Torrance. My wife and I will call in for pick up and it’s always so quick. We get the eel avocado roll all the time, easily the best sushi they have. We’ve tried the shrimp tempura too but the eel sauce is good. The wasabi is spicy but could definitely be spicier! All in all, highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious sushi at a good price. Owners are really kind as well and sometimes give special service!!“
