“Solid spot! After working all night and wanting a breakfast burrito while working out of town and staying in Turlock. I found this spot. Ordered a Machaca burrito and an Al Pastor tacosl. Burrito was big and very tasty. The $5 Al Pastor tacos was delicious and the meat was browned up perfectly on the flat top. I wouldn't hesitate to come back just for the tacos next time. The salsa's I tried were ok and a little different than most other taco spots. The chunky hot salsa was the best of the three I tried.”

I spent about $9.50 which is very reasonable. You can’t beat quality, great service and a wonderful owner! Highly recommend!”

“Our family ate here a couple weeks ago. Everyone ordered something different and we shared. This will be our go to restaurant for family gatherings. The service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfectly. Sometimes we go to restaurants and there is something on the menu that we won’t order again. Not here!! We are from Modesto and this is now our favorite restaurant in the Central Valley. We’re making a reservation right now for 10 of us next week”

“This location is one of the best. I do frequent this spot the most because of the atmosphere and service. The only criticism I would like to point out is the customer parking situation. Most of your employees take up quite a bit of the close parking stalls. Those SHOULD be available to the customers. A designated parking area for employees only should be assigned. Please take note of that.”

“One of our favorite spots. We have brought several friends and family and boast about the incredible food and service. Only disappointment is the bathrooms. Such a beautiful location with very poor kept bathrooms. Tonight we have a reservation for 2 and got offered high top or the table next to the bathroom when every table but 3 were open. We try to make our date nights special tonight was disappointing with these options. (We reluctantly chose the table next to the bathroom) Our server Priscilla was so sweet she made up for it. But even when we were leaving there were still empty tables. It’s the little things like that, that will make us rethink our choice next time.”

As soon as we entered we were greeted by friendly staff, and we were given a huge basket of fresh tortilla chips with two dishes of homemade salsa while we figured out our orders. We ordered a classic margarita and two tacos. The tacos had a lot of flavor and they were huge. The margarita tasted fresh, and was balanced perfectly. Plus Mariachis has a great atmosphere that every Mexican restaurant should model after. We will definitely come back, and recommend Mariachis to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in Turlock.”

“The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops.

Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.”

“Came here for a nice Sunday lunch. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend the chicken wings! In my opinion, the spring rolls tasted a little bit better than the egg rolls. My wife and I got combination plates which includes a cup of soup, which was yummy. The only thing that was a minor annoyance is there was no Chili (red pepper) Sauce. I like to put some in my soup. But when I asked the server for some, he said that they were out of it. The atmosphere was nice, although I would recommend having some soft music playing in the background to add a little more personality to the dining experience.”

“If you are tired of eating Mexican food and no disrespect to Mexican food or tacos! "I love Mexican food!" Well, come on out and try a Little Taste of El Salvador. Here, they serve the Pupusas, which I can say is like going to Mexico and getting tacos at every corner. The pupusas are feel with smash Chicharon, cheese. Loroco, etc... different flavors for your taste buds! I had 3 types when I visited them. I had one loroco con queso, one Chicharon and queso, and a revuelta that is a mixture of Chicgaron, cheese, beans, and perhaps something else I'm a sucker for Pupusas, and this place did make my taste buds say yummy for my tummy ? ??. I will definitely come back again. The price for the pupusas are $4 each, and as you can see in one of my pictures, they are the size of a plastic fork. The reason why I measure it like that it's because in some other places they are smaller and thinner and not enough feeling in them, oh they are a little bit more pricey. "I really hope that this place will sell them that size or a little bit bigger and a little bit thicker and a little bit more stuff!"

On another note, they can be vegetarian order then without the meat.

I do feel the burrito could be a little bigger as I tasted a lot of tortilla. The California burrito was the better of the two burritos I tried but I really can't do that nacho cheese. I would give them another try but order something different. I heard the tacos de tripas are good. Overall this is a average taco truck. I'm coming from Merced and there is a lot of really great trucks there so it's why I rated this only 4 stars.”

“Absolutely loved my visit to Samurai Sushi. I doordash them sometimes, and it's delish, but recently I went in for my 30th birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the inside. It is very cozy and well decorated, with a view of the kitchen from the bar. I had a party of six, and there was not enough seats at first, but they were very kind in asking if we'd like to order to go. Thankfully a table opened up in less than five minutes so we got to eat in. The service was courteous and quick, and the food didn't take long to come out either. We had the 209 roll, the Hulk roll, chicken teriyaki bowl, two orders of California rolls and a bowl of ramen, I don't remember which kind, as well as calimari, egg rolls and shrimp tempura for appetizers. Everything came out in a timely manner and was delicious, I really loved my 209 roll, it's deepfried and amazing. We also had fountain drinks, they have coke products. If I had one food to eat for the rest of my life it could be that sushi lol”

If I could give more than five stars, I would! Hummus Republic in Turlock is hands-down one of the best places to eat in town. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes sure you feel taken care of throughout your visit.

The food itself is absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order — every bite feels like it was prepared with care. The hummus is creamy and perfectly seasoned, the falafel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the variety of toppings and sauces lets you customize your bowl or wrap exactly how you like it. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything was vibrant, colorful, and so delicious that I didn’t want the meal to end.

What I especially love is how healthy and satisfying the food is without ever sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty protein-packed bowl, a refreshing salad, or something bold and zesty with their sauces, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

On top of that, the restaurant is clean and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to dine in or grab food to go. The service was quick, efficient, and delivered with kindness, which really made the whole experience stand out.
