“Hello, This chow hall has nice workers and decent food. Very pleasant experience except for hours and lines. But this is not why I am writing this post. I was forced to come to this chow hall because Phelps chow hall is absolute s**** I pay hundreds of bucks a month to get terrible food and horrendous service from the Sodexo workers and marine "chefs." They force you to stand in a long line for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and give you a portion that wouldn't feed a mouse, forcing you to spend an extra half hour at the chow hall in line again for more food. Most people don't wait and eat the Cheeseburgers and Pizzas, because they are in a faster line. Why don't you just give us more of the healthy food? Not to mention when you finally get to the front for food, half the time they are already out of most of the food! (Which is already an extremely small selection of s*** foods). This chow hall has shut down multiple times over my career in the corps. Every time it opens, the marines of 29 always have hope it has improved. But it only seems to get worse each time! How is that even possible?!? One time it shutdown for 4 months and reopened with new Paper Napkin Holders. That was all they added! Phelps sucks. How can the other chow halls on base, which are less than a mile away from Phelps and are run by the same contracting company, have 100x better in food quality and service than Phelps??? Everyone working there deserves to be fired. I'm not the only one. Start a movement. Leave comment cards.“

“Love, love, looooove a good local restaurant. We were greeted by a staff as soon as we walked in. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Generous portion so come hungry. You order a cup of coffee, you get a giant mug of coffee and I love it. Typically Mexican-American breakfast, but if you want to try something unique then get their CACTUS OMELETTE with HOME MADE SALSA. It was healthy and delicious. You can't go wrong with either their hash brown or their home made fries. I preferred the home made fries. It was stirred fried potatoes. It was very tasty and paired well the the HOME MADE SALSA. Get the rye bread. I don't know if they bake their rye bread, but GET THE RYE BREAD. Everything was so good especially their HOME MADE SALSA. Did I say home made salsa? Ok. You get the point.Would definitely come back“
