“I was literally blown away by the flavors!!
We had beef pancakes (little sweet, smooth flavors, so good!!)
Beef and cabbage broth - so much goodness and earthy flavors, truly!
Last but not least, Mongolian chicken was spicy, so tender, and juicy!
Everything tastes really delicious. Definitely plan on coming again next week!

“It’s my first visit here. I loved the rice casserole and the fried pork ribs. The rice casserole was very authentic and delicious, just like the best ones I had in China.
The place was clean and the service was great. The manager answered my questions and when she saw there’s oil on my hands, she got me a paper napkin before I asked. I was very grateful!“

“The first time I tried the lemongrass tofu sandwich at Huong’s Sandwiches, it honestly reset my standards for what a sandwich can be. I haven’t even been there that many times, but that one bite was enough to stick with me. The tofu is perfectly infused with lemongrass—bright, fragrant, and comforting all at once—balanced in a way that feels thoughtful, not overpowering. It’s the kind of flavor that doesn’t shout, but gently reminds you how good simple food can be when it’s made with care. As a vegetarian option, it doesn’t feel like an afterthought at all; it feels intentional, complete, and genuinely heavenly.
What makes Huong’s even better is how easy and welcoming it is. There’s basically zero wait, which somehow makes the experience feel calmer, like the universe is briefly on your side. For around ten dollars, you get something that tastes far more special than its price tag suggests. It’s the kind of place you can just drop by—no planning, no stress—and walk out with a sandwich that feels like a small win for your day. In a world where good food often comes with long lines or high prices, Huong’s feels refreshingly kind.
Eating that lemongrass tofu sandwich makes me feel ready for whatever comes next. It’s grounding and energizing at the same time, like a quiet moment of joy before the day unfolds. “This is a treasure and let me tell you why. It used to be that many Chinese restaurants that opened before the 1970s not only had the restaurant but also a full bar depending on the size of the property. The Kuo Wah, a legendary Hong Kong style had a full bar and a nightclub on Grant Street in San Francisco. I think the bar is still there. Anyway, some history to look up.
So it was a very wonderful nostalgic surprise to see this restaurant's interior which harkens back quite a few decades and it's full bar on the side. The bar is not big enough sitting and drinking, that's for your restaurant table. The menu is pretty expansive and We noted that lunch time had a lot of combination plates in a $12 to $13 range. The tea is nice and hot, and we chose just a basic meal. Broccoli chicken, bok choy with garlic, and white rice..
Broccoli chicken was good. I probably could have eaten a lot more in my younger days. The bok choy, however, was a wonderful surprise because it wasn't stringy and chewy, which is what you end up with a lot of the time. My bites crunched through, not chewy, and it was also delicious. Lot of classic dishes in the menu and I think over the the next couple of years I will make my way through them once in awhile. We don't go out much but definitely we will return.
Another thing of note, I did not see any chopsticks. I think it's an all forks restaurant. That's fine because they serve incredibly varied community at that location.
I think next time I may try their Hong Kong noodles or their chow fun.“

“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. Overall my chakra levels increased and I can now go on to master spinjutsu! We love you Tecca! 10/10“

“Food is very good. However, I rather they told me the truth instead of steering me into something else. It appeared that they don't have 2 lbs or more lobsters. So, they BS about 2 one lb lobsters would provide better meat quantity and that the meat in a 2 lb lobsters would be tougher. You will get more shell and more elbow joints that are difficult to handle. Instead, just order something else. Anyhow, the lobsters over noodles were nicely cooked and were extremely tasty. So were the surf clams over cellophane noodles. The rest of the dishes were also good except for the salt and pepper pork chops. They were tasty but the chops used were too thick. Desserts were not warm/hot enough.
Service was generally good. Near the end, the waiters were, as if by concerted efforts, ignoring our wavings to get our teapots filled.
The tables were not too jam-packed as other Chinese restaurants.“

“House of Dumplings is an absolute treasure! Their dumplings are incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly handmade with care. Every bite is a delight, whether steamed or pan-fried. Beyond the dumplings, their other Chinese dishes are also excellent. This place is a must-visit for authentic and delicious food. Highly, highly recommend!“
