“Been here now 4 times and it keeps impressing me. The food quality and flavours are SO good, and the wine choices are great, haven’t gotten a bad one yet. The ambiance is a key element too, making it feels like home/community (the name ‘Companion’ is the right one!) with the LP player, the massive bookshelf, the wooden elements and the tables setup. It’s a favourite for us, where we always bring out friend and family visiting us. Love it’s in our neighbourhood!“

“A famous coffee shop in California where Shohei Otani also drinksSince there are many stores, I think it's easy to find places other than here.It may have been a coincidence that I found this store, but there was also a Japanese employee there who introduced me to some recommendations.Receive it after ordering. There is also an outside drinking area, so you can enjoy a drink while walking.“

“Fun place, great food/coffee , great energy without all the excessive pretentious weirdness. The most authentic and sincere business in that area.“

“Took a 6:30 AM yoga class and was looking for coffee and this was already open so I stopped by and got a Darth Mocha, which isn’t sweet at all, they use a dark chocolate, espresso, charcoal, sea salt, and milk of your choice and you can get it hot or cold.
A sweet girl that was in my yoga class actually let me in on a little secret…. if you’re in line and you’re at the front… the frame to the right is actually a secret menu so you can just pop it right off and the menu will be on the back !
I am a sucker for cinnamon donuts, and when I saw the cinnamon twist, I knew I needed to have it. It tastes like a churro and it would probably be so delicious dipped in your hot coffee, but I opted for a cold ! It is very vibey inside, but there is seating inside or outside depending on the weather and what your vibe is. The workers are super sweet and really know their menu well so you can ask for recommendations!! I’ll be back after more yoga classes 😉“

“love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.“

“This is without a doubt LA’s best coffee. Nikita is the best. So attentive to his coffee making process and creative. The fig leaf is the absolute best thing to get here if you like cold brew and if you want something hot, the lavender is tasty and original. I also love the mocha. On the weekend you can also order a delicious focaccia from Steve inside Big Red Sun. The combo is… need I say more?“

“the empanadas are exquisite. you have to try them to understand. this some homemade Argentina style 😋 deliciousness. Rico is a show to say the least. I will definitely stop by just to grab some more empanadas. my highlight of the boardwalk. like Rico says they're 🔥 fire.“

“This is one of my favorite Starbucks on the Pacific Ocean. Grabbing a drink and stepping out on the patio for a minute offers the best SoCal moment. Away from the hustle of the boardwalk (the patio is protected) but high enough you can see the water, it's perfect. If you're wanting to see the sunset and don't want to walk to the shore, this is the best place in Venice Beach. Staff is friendly, the coffee drinks are good and the views are perfect. My favorite Starbucks in the Los Angeles are.“

“Passing this cute cafe for uncountable times, I finally made my way there. Yeah, it's always tricky visiting places at the busiest spot of Venice Beach - joy of finding parking spot in LA! Besides they mostly looked pretty busy on weekends, probably great stop to make while enjoying the stroll by the beach.
Their interior was nothing but SLAY. Period. Contemporary retro vibe, with great ambience to just sit killing time or even get some work done.
For the cup size, the coffee was quite pricey yet the great taste made it worth. I loved their Salted Caramel Latte, which was more on the sweeter side. I have been eyeing their pastries but unfortunately they were all gone when I arrived.“

“Where has this place been all my life?
For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.
This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover photo.
My current obsessions:
Kpop Fries – Highly addictive. Proceed with caution.
Korean BBQ Banh Mi – Pure flavor explosion.
Chimichurri Steak – That sauce… someone needs to bottle it.
My only struggle here? Picking just one entrée per visit. Since I’ve hopped on the LA intermittent fasting train, I only get one big meal a day—meaning each visit is basically a full-on palate crisis.
If bold flavors and creative comfort food are your thing, put Lokal at the top of your list. And if you spot a guy with blonde hair, built shoulders, and the expression of someone facing the toughest decision of his week—that’s probably me.“

“1. No customer bathrooms. Hard to give 5 stars when there’s no bathroom. Door not ADA friendly
2. No parking on the same side of the street but there’s free street parking within a 5 minute walk
3. 5 star coffee. They were out of the strawberry syrup but loved the vanilla latte.
4. $7 coffee
5. The decor/seating/wall is plywood and tile which feels eh, but comfy and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating“
“Cute enough and with some stars on the menu that overcome other middling options. The interior is gorgeous with huge windows and little named cactuses all over. Great spot for a hang or a date. The coffee is perfectly serviceable but not outstanding. The ginger chai was unique enough that I come back for it often. It is GINGER, like I am a south asian man and that is GINGER. Definitely worth coming out for if you like ginger.“

“Stopped in for a break from the beach and heat and, as lovers of all things Italian, this was an easy choice. We had pizza and ice creams, all of which were delicious. I loved the fact that you could try a little sample of the gelato before choosing your flavour. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent!\n\nService was really good, and we were made to feel welcome; seating is a bit limited but we managed to get a table under one of the umbrellas outside, which suited us just fine. \n\nDefinitely recommend: an authentic Italian cafe with an awesome view.“

“Such a fun spot in Venice! The vibe is super bright and welcoming and the staff made me feel right at home. I tried the strawberry matcha (amazing!) and the matcha lemonade which was very refreshing. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m in the area.“

“Two of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had in my life! The Cafe Rico was out of this world and the drip coffee was unreal. Special shoutout to Nicely for his hospitality, passion, and expertise. Cannot recommend enough, I will be back☕️“
