“A famous coffee shop in California where Shohei Otani also drinksSince there are many stores, I think it's easy to find places other than here.It may have been a coincidence that I found this store, but there was also a Japanese employee there who introduced me to some recommendations.Receive it after ordering. There is also an outside drinking area, so you can enjoy a drink while walking.“

“I’ve dined here both as a walk-in and with a reservation, and each time I was greeted with the warmest smile. This restaurant is so intentional—from its cozy neighborhood charm to the elevated, seasonal menu and the ambiance set by an amazing record player and vinyl collection. The staff went above and beyond, even sharing local stories that made us feel truly connected to the space. The food was absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touch of nonalcoholic wine options. Highly recommend!“

“7 years between visits and still as amazing. The coffee is an experience. An absolute must have.
We also opted for a pear cake , a sprinkle donut and chocolate chip sea salt cookies.
Wish they had a Menotti’s where we live.“

“love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.“

“Fun place, great food/coffee , great energy without all the excessive pretentious weirdness. The most authentic and sincere business in that area.“

“The coffee is soooo good- I got an iced vanilla latte with a cream too and my friend got a matcha. The drinks are so good, the coffee had a true coffee taste while still being a sweet latte; most lattes now are sugary and less coffee. The coffee is not comprised at all. Most importantly the owner Nikita(I hope I am spelling his name correctly) was unbelievably kind and generous. I highly recommend this small business coffee shop!“

“the empanadas are exquisite. you have to try them to understand. this some homemade Argentina style 😋 deliciousness. Rico is a show to say the least. I will definitely stop by just to grab some more empanadas. my highlight of the boardwalk. like Rico says they're 🔥 fire.“

“1. No customer bathrooms. Hard to give 5 stars when there’s no bathroom. Door not ADA friendly
2. No parking on the same side of the street but there’s free street parking within a 5 minute walk
3. 5 star coffee. They were out of the strawberry syrup but loved the vanilla latte.
4. $7 coffee
5. The decor/seating/wall is plywood and tile which feels eh, but comfy and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating“

“This is one of my favorite Starbucks on the Pacific Ocean. Grabbing a drink and stepping out on the patio for a minute offers the best SoCal moment. Away from the hustle of the boardwalk (the patio is protected) but high enough you can see the water, it's perfect. If you're wanting to see the sunset and don't want to walk to the shore, this is the best place in Venice Beach. Staff is friendly, the coffee drinks are good and the views are perfect. My favorite Starbucks in the Los Angeles are.“
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Flowerboy Project on our interview date. I had heard of the illustrious Flowerboy Project from not only friends in the Venice Beach area, but also from digital word-of-mouth as well as praise from the Los Angeles Coffee Guide. Since starting this endeavor, floral type coffees (i.e. rose, lavender, etc.) had become my jam, and I was genuinely intrigued with how the shop functions as both a florist and a coffeeshop, so why not follow through on my curiosity? Well, I definitely was not disappointed in my adventure and am already excited to make my way back! The nice thing about Flowerboy Project is that it’s located in a relatively quieter part of Venice. It’s close enough to the beach and the popular Abbot Kinney area without the heavy crowds, yet still gets enough foot traffic for locals to discover it and stay afloat as a business. It’s a smaller shop that can fill up quickly at the peek ‘I need coffee, stat!’ hours, but if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat inside you will never want to leave! The lush, garden/botanical-like atmosphere is highlighted with Insta-worthy gold and pastel accents to add a slight trendy feel with a playlist dedicated to classic surf rock reminiscent of its location. Now, all you need is one of their signature coffees and a yummy pastry and you’ll want to make Flowerboy your new favorite shop!“
“Cute enough and with some stars on the menu that overcome other middling options. The interior is gorgeous with huge windows and little named cactuses all over. Great spot for a hang or a date. The coffee is perfectly serviceable but not outstanding. The ginger chai was unique enough that I come back for it often. It is GINGER, like I am a south asian man and that is GINGER. Definitely worth coming out for if you like ginger.“

“Passing this cute cafe for uncountable times, I finally made my way there. Yeah, it's always tricky visiting places at the busiest spot of Venice Beach - joy of finding parking spot in LA! Besides they mostly looked pretty busy on weekends, probably great stop to make while enjoying the stroll by the beach.
Their interior was nothing but SLAY. Period. Contemporary retro vibe, with great ambience to just sit killing time or even get some work done.
For the cup size, the coffee was quite pricey yet the great taste made it worth. I loved their Salted Caramel Latte, which was more on the sweeter side. I have been eyeing their pastries but unfortunately they were all gone when I arrived.“

“Where has this place been all my life?
For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.
This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover photo.
My current obsessions:
Kpop Fries – Highly addictive. Proceed with caution.
Korean BBQ Banh Mi – Pure flavor explosion.
Chimichurri Steak – That sauce… someone needs to bottle it.
My only struggle here? Picking just one entrée per visit. Since I’ve hopped on the LA intermittent fasting train, I only get one big meal a day—meaning each visit is basically a full-on palate crisis.
If bold flavors and creative comfort food are your thing, put Lokal at the top of your list. And if you spot a guy with blonde hair, built shoulders, and the expression of someone facing the toughest decision of his week—that’s probably me.“
