“I really like Pancoast. Wife is a newyorker and Pancoast’s pizza style is right up her alley. They have 4 tap beers and they’re some of the best in Norcal - nice to see somebody cares about great beer. I order to go, get a beer at the bar, and take home. They’re seemingly busy all the time so Pancoast has a following.

Parking sucks, they have to share with their neighboring businesses so plan to get a spot on the street.“

“My experiences have always been good at this location for the 5 years I've lived in the area. The best part about this chain is the bread (particularly sourdough and dutch crunch) and garlic sauce. My favorite sandwich is the Italian, though I've tried most of the menu, and everything has been good. Delivery via DoorDash has always been a positive experience, fast and orders have been accurate.“

So I pre ordered their “To Go Box” Raquel was absolutely helpful and professional when corresponding to my inquiries. Had it delivered directly to the hotel and it was waiting at the front desk (refrigerated in the back) when we arrived. The hotel staff said this was the best and most beautiful charcuterie box she has ever seen! Oh how we enjoyed it once we were up in our room! “I found this particular restaurant as I was on a hike in the area and wanted to get some dinner. It was pretty slow in there when I came in. The restaurant itself is clean and nice and was a comfy place to grab a sandwich. The workers were friendly and accommodating.“

What I appreciated most is how gracefully she makes recommendations. I had never tried the “Happy Hippie” before, and I was unsure about ordering it. Maria confidently suggested it and, jokingly but sweetly, told me that if I wasn’t happy with it, she would even offer me a free sandwich. That sense of humor and kindness made the experience even more enjoyable. Of course, I loved it — and her recommendation was amazing.

“I was heading to the Pink Stallion out the end of Clayton road to drop off a big box of strap-on thingamabobs to the Lady's Auxiliary for their annual Gathering of She Bears, when I passed by the West Coast Sourdough Delicatessen. What luck! I whipped it on in faster than big Mabel Hatley in a sorority full of Georgia Peaches!
I had the Turkey sub, and it was Spectacular! 5 stars and worthy of a two hour drive. ☆☆☆☆☆“
