“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“

“I met my friend for breakfast yesterday morning at 8:30 am. Since it was so early, we were able to grab a four-top table on their patio, just outside of the open-air, stylishly beachy restaurant.

We both ordered coffees, a latte and an Americano. She had the overnight oats bowl, which looked delicious and filing, and I had the avocado toast on sourdough. So fresh and good!

The staff were very nice and friendly, and this is a great, laidback place to have breakfast.

There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant; paid parking only.

I will come back and bring my boyfriend! Great location across the street from Venice Beach, too.“

“The food was very good. I dined solo and had chicken liver mousse, the yellowtail crudo, the peach and tomato burrata salad, and the crab cake. The mousse was rich and interestingly paired with pickled blackberries and honeycomb. The crudo was delicious with the refreshing citrus. The salad too felt very fresh and like I was holding on to late summer. The crab cake was good, the sauce had a nice balance of spice and sweetness, it was very salty which is not unexpected with crab. The service was kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience and would return again if I'm back in Santa Monica.“

“When a restaurant takes their bread and simple salads seriously you know the rest of the meal will be excellent. That is this restaurant. Everything was excellent: freshness, flavors, choice of items on menu. The menu is small, but that just means each item has their full attention.“

A chef stepped out with a dish and was taking photos outside, and on his way back we asked if it was new. He offered us the plate and told us it's coming onto the fall menu in a couple weeks. They have a cafe and restaurant, both offering quality food and beverages and a full bar. The restaurant has comfortable seating options and the cafe offers outdoor seating. The service is friendly and attentive. You’ll definitely have a great time and a good meal!“

“The brunch here was fantastic! The passionfruit cocktail was refreshing, but not too sweet. The chopped salad was also excellent and something I would genuinely order again. The staff working were all so kind and showed me wonderful hospitality since I was dining alone. The house made fennel sausage was perfectly juicy and full of flavor. It was a marvelous meal and as a local, definitely a place I would go back to !!“

“We went with three of our grandchildren, 15, 14, and 12. They had been and we all went. We were seated immediately answered impressed and then charmed by the host, and then our server, the incredible Oscar! He is a gem, and I hope they realize what they’ve got there! He delivered the food in a timely manner, we ate like wolves, paid, departed, and knew we’d be back soon. Maybe even next weekend with the five younger gks who missed out this time.“

Off rip, I knew it was gonna be bomb because my boyfriend actually has great taste and recommended it. I mean why would I date him otherwise? But I still had to be the one to taste it to believe it. Those biscuits put them on the MAP! I had lost faith in biscuits & gravy in this city. I have been let down time and time again because it was so weak. I had booked an outdoor table and upon arrival, the staff gave us the option to move indoors if we wanted to due to the heat wave. The interior is aesthetically pleasing with a black and yellow color scheme throughout the establishment, coordinated seating areas for dining in, and simple yet impactful decor with the background story of Mr. Fries Man framed along the walls. The atmosphere was welcoming and extremely professional and the fries themselves were everything! I had the shrimp and steak fries and they were fresh and hot, the steak cut into perfect bite size bits, the shrimp cooked perfectly, and the sauce a delicate balance between sweet and savory to tie it altogether *chefs kiss*. Overall perfect restaurant choice for anyone but especially college students and young professionals who want a satisfyingly delicious, quality meal without breaking the bank.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“
