Had a slight issue with the 3rd party delivery and the acting manager was so quick to resolve my issue. “I've passed the sandwich, place a couple of times before I finally placed an order for pick up because there's usually a crowd waiting inside when I passed by and I wanted to avoid that long wait. So I placed an order for three sandwiches for me and my department for pick up more than an hour in advance. When I get there, they seem busy, and I let them know that I am picking up an order that I placed online and it took them only a moment to find my order and tell me that it was gonna be another 15 minutes til it was ready. So I wait on one of the seats outside 15 minutes and then go back inside, and my order isn't bagged yet. As I'm waiting, someone else comes up because she had called a correction in to her online order. Yes, this review is a bit tedious, but that's what it was like to get my sandwiches which were delicious by the way. Short story long, order in advance and show up 20 minutes late.“

Just near the 2nd famous Silverlake corner, parking is challenging during busy hours as meter parking is your only nearby option other than parking in the residential streets just minutes away. The turkey is thinly sliced and flavorful. The Coppola savory goodness. The choice for Fontina Cheese is excellent. The breakfast items are hearty and delicious. The Chopped Cheese sandwich is reminiscent of some East Coast vibes. Drinks are your usual cafe-style creations with coffee being much of the focus. The balance achieved here is much about the nice baguettes used for each of their sandwiches. With quality meats, cheeses, and their thinly sliced red onions some may say it's a perfect meal. On par is the premium pricing. Expect $16 for the baseline on a delicious sandwich. They are not deli thick but will be satisfying. The seating can be few during busy hours. “I walked past at first, then came back, and man, am I glad I did. Wow! They were busy. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available and both were quite full. A very large line, but that was just those waiting for their order. I'm going to be honest, I thought the wait would be astounding but it took less than 15mins from ordering to being handed my bag. I got a large Rueben sandwich. They also come in regular, getting a large may have been a mistake. It's huge. I also ordered a double decker, they let you choose. Single or double. Curses free will. I also got a bag of peppercinis, was expecting a smaller bag, but again that didn't happen. I also got a caramel milkshake which was absolutely phenomenal. Finished it minutes it was so good. Would definitely recommend this as a takeout or dine in spot. Great food.“

“I've lived in the South Bay all my life and never knew this place existed, sort of a little hidden jem. I had the infamous Matzo Ball soup. The broth and soup itself was delicious! The Matzo ball didn't have much flavor, and I found the texture hard to stomach. I also had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich with fries. The fries were perfectly crunchy and unsalted. The sandwich was amazing, and the bread is what made it. It had some sort of fennel seed. Service was fair but prices were too high, in my opinion.“
“Love the Lokal Dac Biet Banh Mi (Old Skool) and their milk tea with boba. They always hit the spot! Everything is super consistent and tasty. Their milk tea boba is actually just as good as a boba shop. I got less sweet and less ice — it was perfect. There are two types of Dac biet you can get, one has more toppings like pork floss and more meat while the other is a more basic Dac biet. Read the description before you order to make sure you get the one you want. Chicken is also good. They have other food items too like sandwiches and pancakes. I just haven’t checked them out because I always get the banh mi — and honestly I don’t think I will. Nothing wrong on their part but the banh mi is too good and always exactly what I want.Most of the banh mi comes with mayo, pate, or both. They’re not always listed out when you’re ordering from an app. They allow modifications so just make sure you let them know somehow (either denote it or write it out in the online order text box).“

I love eating a Banh Mi and although their interpretation is not traditional. It is really a home run and worth a try. I had trouble paying as my Apple Pay wasn't working. The guy working the register was so kind to me and said they can give one free sandwich per a day to those in need or whatever. It was my lucky night. I don't like to owe or receive hand outs. I returned with cash the next day I worked in that area. I offered to pay for the sandwich and he remembered me, but they couldn't accept the money because it would affect the till. I was insisting to give them the money to make it right. So the manager said that I could put it in the tip jar if I'd like and that's what I did. I'm not looking for praise or anything. “I’ve had Mendocino many times at different locations, but the store manager (Pedro) at this specific one definitely made my experience much more enjoyable. The food here is always good and has healthy options. I always go for the Turkey Avo with whole wheat bread. “I've gotten around 12 sandwiches in the past month.The app makes mistakes and glitches atleast the android version that I use on Samsung 22+. So order from app and include instructions incase your choices don't show properly.If the store makes a mistake and you inform them by review or in person they fix it. At first my order was screwed up a few times, but after that they very rarely made a mistake.Also know that if you order early AM it will be ready fast but expect stale bread. If I order afternoon the bread is better but it's the lunch rush so it might be delayed a little or the order might have a mistake because it's rushed.“

It's probably better to place your order online, go in and pick it up, then sit down and eat it. It's probably more efficient. However, I like having the offline experience.
